The Rise of right wing politics and it's impact on social fabric of India

And that is something to be proud of I believe for social structure of India. We were born as a secular and sovereign country, Pakistan was not.

Hindus are 80% in country, even if we are 1 B population, 800M are hindus and they hve grown too.
A proud moment for me is to mould all as Indians irrespective of their religion , which is not very conspicous.

One of the very evident effects of the rise of the Hindu right wing is the polarization of the society. For eg. the rise of the Muslim right wing political organizations like MIM. In the recent Maha elections, MIM has gained ground by winning a couple of seats. It now plans to enter Delhi as well which will lead to further gravtiation of Muslim votes towards MIM and the opposite effect i.e. Hindu votes towards BJP.

I expect something similar to happen in other areas with decent sized non-Hindu communities - places like Kerala, Punjab etc. In Punjab the SGPC has been spooked by increased activities of the RSS who recently took out a march by knicker clad men carrying firearms through a small town called Jaito. There could be a rise of some hardline Sikh leader as well.

Two quick questions,

  1. Was partition of India in 1947, result of "right wing polarization of the society"?
  2. If yes to above, who caused the said "right wing polarization of the society" back then?

intolerance has grown significantly after saffron powers took office. Aamir bhai was very right about his observation.
