Dear Abhik,
From all your posts it looks like you are BJP member first and Jat etc later, please consider the following without saffron glasses
My being a BJP member or not is highly immaterial to the topic of the discussion. It is not even remotely related to the topic. By the same logic, even I can say that you seem to be a Congress member more!! But I would prefer not to get into a tu-tu mein-mein and would like to stick to the topic as closely as possible.
1. Please try to get the point. During Lok Sabha elections country was divided into Hindus and muslims, during Haryana elections the tone changed to Jats vs Non Jats.
You are correct on that. This Jat Vs. Non-Jat is the result of this unnecessary confrontation, US Vs. THEM approach that a few brothers including you follow. And this for political gains was exploited by other castes as well. None of the Jat great leaders like Ch. Charan Singh or Jan Nayak Ch. Devi Lal pitched Jats against others. They were mass leaders. But I am dismayed at this Jat Vs. Non- Jat pitching by a few Jats which has further isolated Jats and the result of which we have already seen in the Haryana assembly elections. That is the reason I talk of building bridges instead of the confrontation approach. Phir bhi agar jabardasti Sir-Phudai karni hae baki castes ke saath toh karo. Kaun rok sakta hae. The entire Jat community would be further isolated thereby doing it harm rather than any gain/benefits being accrued.
2. The Mughals used to believe that in India the only people who will fight back will be Jats and they were fearful of Jats. While Jats were fighting the Mughals your beloved Kings were lined up in front of mughals to forge matrimonial alliances.
Those Hindu kings with the blessings of Brahmins fought with Mughals against Jats and butchered ,raped Jats !
Mughals were afraid of Jats??? I guess a new history book has been written by a historian which you have recently read. My beloved Kings??? To set the record straight, all Hindu kings including Maharaja Suraj Mal (Yes he is loved by all Jats including me), Marathas, Raja of Mysore, Sikhs, etc. fought their own individual battles against the mughals and because of THEY Vs. US, WE ARE BETTER/HIGHER approach lost. You are contradicting yourself - On the one hand you say that Mughals feared Jats and on the other hand you say that they raped and butchered Jats. This is what happens when you try to twist history to your liking.
3. The whole point is if extremists of one religion are bad there are bad elements amongst Hindus as well.
when they can't tackle Mughals they remember that Jats are also Hindus so make them fight each other!
Jats are a warrior race and they can never see injustice being done to anybody. It seems in your hatred for Non-Jat Hindus, you believe Mughals were Jat well wishers and natural allies.
Yes there are bad elements in every other religion including Hinduism. But are Hindus responsible for the terrorist attacks in Syria, Iraq, Chechenya, US (twin tower), UK, France, Indonesia, Philippines, Nigeria, etc?????
4. Have you ever read any of Premchand's books- the stories where a poor farmer is forced to sell his Hal - Bal for shradth!
I am not sure what you have read or not. It is true that poor illiterate farmers were exploited by the baniyas irrespective of caste (Jats or non-Jats). If you want to take revenge today from the descendants of the baniyas, nobody can stop you. Maybe now we will see lone wolf attacks on the baniyas!!
5.While fighting a Mughal you die once in battle field but before independence these soodkhor mahajans with Brahmins used to kill Jats and their families everyday by entering in vicious cycle of debt , enslaving all Jats , while the lazy Hindu kings will make sure they recover taxes from Jats and they used to butcher and rape Jats as well.
Why are you singling out Jats as victims??? All the poor illiterate farmers were exploited by the sahukars irrespective of caste. Taxes were levied by the Hindu Kings on all subjects whether Jats or non-Jats. No special tax was put on Jats only like the Jiziya levied on Hindus. It seems now you are trying to refine history and making it Jat-centric. The Hindu kings that you are pointing fingers at also included Jat kings. So, in effect, you are pointing a finger at yourself.
6. The jat Sikhs rejected Brahminical customs and were able to establish an empire and distinct identity.
Even Hindu Jats established their kingdoms. Have you heard of Maharaja Suraj Mal and Raja Nahar Singh???
You have still not answered my question: Does Guru Granth Sahib grant any special status/position to Jats??
