Gandhi as an excuse for not punishing crimes

Can and should India accept non punishment of serious crimes?

Well, there have been instances where people have been brutally killed giving different excuses.

India is a country where masses are badly educated or are driven by religious, nationalist, prapogandic thoughts, crime, etc., in such cases should serious crimes go unpunished?

What happens when even political and other corrupt people join and propagate such wrong ideologies? What happens when majority of the time even government recruitment process is not clean?

Will the people who give punishment be safe, when criminals are moving free?

It is a food for thought.

You are right.
Gandhian Philoshpy is now being used as a weapon to exploit.

In earlier days when there was some excess the people revolted and in that revolution blood shed was always there . In final ruler over through on and people from low status used to come at higher position. Take example of Chander Gupta Mourya / Ashoka .. No such good ruler would be there if they followed Gandhian Philosophy ..
Even Maharaja Surajmal would not be ruler if they had not courage and led the bloodshed against Mughal .

I think, the name was "Chandra gupt Maurya". I am not sure what language was spoken when this ruler was present and the word "Gupt" means "secret". Lot of people used to have nick names or word added to the name from some incident etc., In old times many rulers used to have look alikes and had similar strategies.
So maybe the word "Gupt"comes from "meaning secret".

I am not sure, if "Gupta" is derived directly from "Gupt".

There is another word that is often used "Gupt Kal" where "Gupt means secret and Kal means time", so it can easily mean " Time period for which little is known", i do not know, from which archaeological proof has the word "Gupt" been coined or produced". Is there any proof of the word "Gupt" or this word has been coined by historians because there is very less knowledge about it in archaeological proof? I do not know as i have not seen any archaeological proof.

Bloodshed was not always there, there have been revolts in history, where there were no blood shed.

Let me explain:

1. There is a root (dhaatu -verbal stem), namely 'gup'. It means 'to protect'.It gives another meaning 'to

hide'. If we add the suffix 'kta' ( to indicate present perfect) we obtain the finished product asthe word

'gupta' (after a series of grammatical operations. It means one who is protected'guarded'. Thia component

has historically been found used as second part of names till the present times. Thus we have names like

'Chandra Gupta' ; Bhanu Gupta; Vishnu Gupta;Brahma Gupta etc. Gupta as a Sanskrit term is always ending

in 'a'. The Roman reproduction as 'Gupt' is not in order.

2. Gupta is also the name of a Royal family ruling from the early fourth century A.D. to the mid sixth

century A.D. No doubt the name is not a latter innovation. We have a large number of inscriptions of the

members of this family mentioning the name of the family as 'Gupta Vansha'.

3. 'Gupta Kala' is the name of the era founded by the early kings of this family and the same has been

named as 'GuptaKala' i.e. the 'era' founded by the Gupta kings. The epoch of this era is determined as 319

A.D. on the basis of inscriptional evidence (the Mathura inscription of 5th regnal year and the year 61 of the

Gupta era ) amply establish this fact.

4.Any dated inscription in the record's contemporary script (here Brahmi of 380 A.D.) is the most authentic

archaeological evidence.
