हिन्दू ओम Om 'हिन्दू' अथवा 'हिन्दु' शब्द का पर्याय है, हिन्दू धर्म में आस्था रखने वाला। उसके लिए यह आवश्यक नहीं है कि वह किसी विशेष मत-मतान्तर का मानने वाला हो। सामाजिक जीवन में हिन्दू की बाहरी पहचान सिर्फ़ इस बात से होती है, कि वह जाति-व्यवस्था को मानता है। परन्तु जाति-व्यवस्था की कड़ियाँ भी शीघ्रता से समाप्त होती जा रही हैं। प्राचीनता भारतवर्ष में बसने वाली प्राचीन जातियों का सामूहिक नाम हिन्दू तथा उनके समष्टिवादी धर्म का भाव हिन्दुत्व है। जब मुसलमान आक्रमणकारी जातियों ने इस देश में अपना राज्य स्थापित किया और बसना प्रारम्भ किया, तब वे मुसलमानों से इतर लोगों को अपने से पृथक करने के लिए सामूहिक रूप से हिन्दू तथा उनके धर्म को हिन्दू मज़हब (धर्म) कहने लगे। यूरोपीयों और अंग्रेज़ों ने भी इस परम्परा को जारी रखा। उन्होंने भारतीय जनता को छिन्न-भिन्न रखने के लिए उसको दो भागों बाँटा- मुस्लिम तथा ग़ैर मुस्लिम अर्थात् 'हिन्दू' इस प्रकार आधुनिक यात्रावर्णन, इतिहास, राजनीति, धर्म विवरण आदि में भारत की मुस्लिमेतर जनता का नाम 'हिन्दू' तथा उनके धर्म का नाम 'हिन्दू धर्म' प्रसिद्ध हो गया। यद्यपि भारतीय मुसलमान भी पश्चिम एशिया में 'हिन्दी' और अमेरिका में 'हिन्दू' कहलाते रहे। भारतीय जनता ने भी संसार में व्यापक रूप से अपने को अभिहित करने वाले इन शब्दों को क्रमश: स्वीकार कर लिया। इसमें सन्देह नहीं कि 'हिन्दू' शब्द भारतीय इतिहास में अपेक्षाकृत बहुत अर्वाचीन और विदेशी है। प्राचीन संस्कृत साहित्य में इसका प्रयोग नहीं मिलता। एक अत्यन्त परवर्ती तन्त्रग्रन्थ, 'मेरुतन्त्र' में इसका उल्लेख पाया जाता है। इसका सन्दर्भ निम्नांकित है- पंचखाना सप्तमीरा नव साहा महाबला:। हिन्दूधर्मप्रलोप्तारो जायन्ते चक्रवर्तिन:।। हीनं दूशयत्येव हिन्दुरित्युच्यते प्रिये। पूर्वाम्नाये नवशतां षडशीति: प्रकीर्तिता:।।[1] उपर्युक्त सन्दर्भ में 'हिन्दू' शब्द की जो व्युत्पत्ति दी गई है, वह है 'हीनं दूषयति स हिन्दू' अर्थात् जो हीन (हीनता अथवा नीचता) को दूषित समझता (उसका त्याग करता) है, वह हिन्दू है। इसमें सन्देह नहीं कि यह यौगिक व्युत्पत्ति अर्वाचीन है, क्योंकि इसका प्रयोग विदेशी आक्रमणकारियों के सन्दर्भ में किया गया है। भौगोलिकता वास्तव में यह हिन्दू शब्द भौगोलिक है। मुसलमानों को यह शब्द फ़ारस अथवा ईरान से मिला था। फ़ारसी कोशों में 'हिन्द' और इससे व्युत्पन्न अनेक शब्द पाए जाते हैं। जैसे- हिन्दू, हिन्दी, हिन्दुवी, हिन्दुवानी, हिन्दूकुश, हिन्दसा, हिन्दसाँ, हिन्दबाना, हिन्दूएचर्ख, हिन्दमन्द आदि। इन शब्दों के अस्तित्व से स्पष्ट है कि 'हिन्द' शब्द मूलत: फ़ारसी है और इसका अर्थ भारतवर्ष है। भारत, फ़ारस (ईरान) का पड़ोसी देश था। इसलिए वहाँ इसके नाम का बहुत प्रयोग होना स्वाभाविक था। फ़ारसी में बल्ख नगर का नाम 'हिन्दवार', इसके पास के पर्वत का नाम हिन्दूकुश और भारतीय भाषा और संस्कृति के लिए 'हिन्दकी' शब्द मिलता है। इन शब्दों के प्रयोग से यह निष्कर्ष निकलता है कि फ़ारसी बोलने वाले लोग हिन्द (भारत) से भली-भाँति परिचित थे और वे हिन्दूकुश तक के प्रदेश को भारत का भाग समझते थे। स्वस्तिक Swastika हिन्दू शब्द का प्रयोग निस्सन्देह फ़ारस के पूर्व का देश भारत ही हिन्द था। अब प्रश्न यह है कि 'हिन्दू' शब्द फ़ारस वालों को कैसे मिला? फ़ारस के पूर्व सबसे पहले महत्त्वपूर्ण भौगोलिक अवरोध एवं दृश्य सिन्धु नदी और उसकी दक्षिण तथा वामवर्ती सहायक नदियों का जाल है। पूर्व से सिन्धु नदी में सीधे मिलने वाली तीन नदियाँ वितस्ता (झेलम), परुष्णी (रावी) और शतद्रु (सतलुज) (उपनदियों के साथ) और पश्चिम से भी तीन सुवास्तु (स्वात), कुभा (काबुल) और गोमती (गोमल) हैं। इन छ: नदियों के साथ सिन्धु द्वारा सिंचित प्रदेश का नाम 'हफ्तहेन्दु' (सप्तसेन्धु) था। यह शब्द सबसे पहले 'जेन्दावस्ता' (छन्दावस्था) पारसी धर्मग्रन्थ में मिलता है। फ़ारसी व्याकरण के अनुसार संस्कृत का 'स' अक्षर 'ह' में परिवर्तित हो जाता है। इसी कारण से सिन्धु, 'हिन्दू' हो गया। पहले 'हेन्दु' अथवा 'हिन्द' के रहने वाले 'हेन्दव' अथवा 'हिन्दू' कहलाये। धीरे-धीरे सम्पूर्ण भारत के लिए इसका प्रयोग होने लगा, क्योंकि भारत के पश्चिमोत्तर के देशों के साथ सम्पर्क का यही एकमात्र द्वार था। इसी प्रकार व्यापक रूप में भारत में रहने वाले लोगों का धर्म हिन्दू धर्म कहलाया। फ़ारसी भाषा में 'हिन्दू' शब्द के कुछ अन्य घृणासूचक अर्थ भी पाये जाते हैं, यथा-डाकू, सेवक, दास, पहरेदार, काफ़िर (नास्तिक) आदि। ये अर्थ अवश्य ही जातीय द्वेष के परिणाम हैं। पश्चिमोत्तर सीमा के लोग प्राय: बराबर साहसी और लड़ाकू प्रवृत्ति के रहे हैं। अत: वे फ़ारस के आक्रामक, व्यापारी और यात्री सभी को कष्ट देते रहे होंगे। इसीलिए फ़ारस वाले उन्हें डाकू कहते थे और जब फ़ारस ने इस्लाम धर्म स्वीकार किया, तो नये जोश में उनको काफ़िर भी कहा। परन्तु जैसा कि पहले लिखा जा चुका है, 'हिन्दू' का तात्पर्य शुद्ध भौगोलिक था। हिन्दू धर्म और आन्दोलन मुख्य लेख : हिन्दू धर्म अब प्रश्न यह है कि आज 'हिन्दू' और हिन्दू धर्म किसे कहना चाहिए। इसका मूल अर्थ भौगोलिक है। इसको स्वीकार किया जाए तो हिन्द (भारत) का रहने वाला 'हिन्दू' और उसका धर्म 'हिन्दुत्व' है। मुस्लिम आक्रमणों के पूर्व भारत में इस अर्थ की परम्परा बराबर चलती रही। जितनी जातियाँ बाहर से आईं, उन्होंने 'हिन्दू' जाति और 'हिन्दुत्व' धर्म स्वीकार किया। इस देश में बहुत से परम्परावादी और परम्पराविरोधी आन्दोलन भी चले, किन्तु वे सब मिल-जुलकर 'हिन्दुत्व' में ही विलीन हो गए। वैदिक धर्म ही यहाँ का प्राचीनतम सुव्यवस्थित धर्म था, जिसने क्रमश: अन्य आर्येतर धर्मों को प्रभावित किया और उनसे स्वयं प्रभावित हुआ। बौद्ध और जैन आदि परम्परा विरोधी धार्मिक तथा दार्शनिक आन्दोलनों का उदय हुआ। किन्तु कुछ ही शताब्दियों में वे मूल स्कन्ध के साथ पुन: मिल गए। सब मिलाकर जो धर्म बना वही हिन्दू धर्म है। यह न तो केवल मूल वैदिक धर्म है और न ही आर्येतर जातियों की धार्मिक प्रथा अथवा विविध विश्वास, और न ही बौद्ध अथवा जैन धर्म; यह सभी का पंचमेल और समन्वय है। इसमें पौराणिक तथा तान्त्रिक तत्त्व जुटते गए और परवर्ती धार्मिक सम्प्रदायों, संतों, महात्माओं और आचार्यों ने अपने-अपने समय में इसके विस्तार और परिष्कार में योग दिया। 'प्रवर्तक धर्म' होने के कारण इस्लाम धर्म और ईसाई धर्म हिन्दू धर्म के महामिलन में सम्मिलित होने के लिए न पहले तैयार थे और न ही आजकल तैयार हैं। कन्तु जहाँ तक हिन्दुत्व का प्रश्न है, इसने कई मुहम्मदी और मसीहों उप-सम्प्रदायों को 'हिन्दू धर्म' में सम्मिलित कर लिया। इस प्रकार हिन्दुत्व अथवा हिन्दू धर्म वर्द्धमान विकसनशील, उदार और विवेकपूर्ण समन्वयवादी (अनुकरणवादी नहीं) धर्म है। लोकमान्य तिलक की परिभाषा मुख्य लेख : लोकमान्य तिलक हिन्दू और हिन्दुत्व की एक परिभाषा लोकमान्य तिलक ने प्रस्तुत की थी, जो निम्नांकित है- आसिन्धो: सिन्धुपर्यन्ता यस्य भारतभूमिका। पितृभू: पृण्यभूश्चैव स वै हिन्दुरिति स्मृत:।। अर्थात् “सिन्धु नदी के उदगम स्थान से लेकर सिन्धु (हिन्द महासागर) तक सम्पूर्ण भारत भूमि जिसकी पितृभू (अथवा मातृभूमि) तथा पुण्यभू (पवित्र भूमि) है, वह 'हिन्दू' कहलाता है (और उसका धर्म 'हिन्दुत्व')। मान्यताएँ सम्पूर्ण हिन्दू तो ऐसा मानते ही हैं, यहाँ बसने वाले मुसलमान और ईसाईयों की पितृभूमि[2] भारत ही है। यदि इसे वे पुण्यभूमि भी मान लें तो हिन्द की समस्त जनता हिन्दू और उनका समन्वित धर्म हिन्दुत्व माना जा सकता है। यह सत्य केवल राजनीति की दृष्टि से ही नहीं धर्म और शान्ति की दृष्टि से भी वांछनीय है। भारत की यही धार्मिक साधना रही है। परन्तु इसमें अभी कई अंतर्द्वन्द्व वर्तमान और संघर्षशील हैं। अभी वांछनीय समन्वय के लिए अधिक समय और अनुभव की अपेक्षा है। अंतर्द्वंद तथा अपवादों को छोड़ देने के पश्चात अपने-अपने विविध सम्प्रदायों को मानते हुए भी हिन्दुत्व की सर्वतोनिष्ठ मान्यताएँ हैं, जिनको स्वीकार करने वाले हिन्दू कहलाते हैं। सर्वप्रथम, हिन्दू को निगम[3] और आगम[4] दोनों और कम से कम दोनों में से किसी एक को अवश्य मानना चाहिए। दूसरे, ईश्वर पर विश्वास रखना हिन्दू के लिए वांछनीय है, किन्तु अनिवार्य नहीं; यदि कोई धर्म, परमार्थ अथवा दार्शनिक दृष्टिकोण मानता है, तो हिन्दू होने के लिए पर्याप्त है। जहाँ तक धार्मिक साधना अथवा व्यक्तिगत मुक्ति का प्रश्न है, हिन्दू के लिए अनेक विकल्प हैं, यदि वे उसके विकास और चरम उपलब्धि में सहायक होते हैं। नैतिक जीवन में वह जनकल्याण के लिए समान रूप से प्रतिबद्ध है। इष्ट[5], पूर्त[6] कोई भी वह कर सकता है। सदाचार ही धर्म का वास्तविक मूल माना गया है [7]; इसके बिना तो वेद भी व्यर्थ हैं: आचारहीनं न पुनन्ति वेदा: यद्यप्यधीता: सह षडभिरंगै:। छन्दास्येनं मृत्युकाले त्यजन्ति नीडं शकुन्ता इव जातपक्षा:।।[8] अर्थात् "व्यक्ति को वेद पवित्र नहीं करते, चाहे वे छ: अंगों के साथ ही क्यों न पढ़े गये हों। मृत्युकाल में मनुष्य को वेद कैसे छोड़ देते हैं, जैसे पंख उगने पर पक्षी घोंसले को"।

BJP's Rohtak MLA Munish Grover on Saturday compared violence during Jat quota agitation to Godhra riots and said just like then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi was criticized for it but still won two more terms, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar would stay in the saddle for long.
"Modi faced criticism after Godhra incident but continued to rule Gujarat till he was elevated as the prime minister. Similarly, chief minister Khattar will also go on for two more terms, Grover told the audience at public meetings in Mehem sub-division of Rohtak as well as in Hisar. What's more, both the time when the MLA was making these remarks, Khattar was present on the stage.
This has given fresh ammunition to the opposition against the government and Grover, who was already under political attack following the violence in his constituency and surrounding areas, which was epicenter of unrest in February. Khattar too has been facing fire from rival parties' leaders who have accused him of losing hold over law and order situation leading to 30 deaths and major loss of property across the state.
However, the MLA is undeterred by the onslaught and has even found support from some his party colleagues. "I standby by what I said. I said this while referring to the opposition, especially our friends in the Congress who had been accusing our CM and BJP. I have said that similar kind of allegations were made against PM Modi ji and he had headed Gujarat for over a decade. So will be case in Haryana and Khattar Sahib will come out clean and would head the state for the long time," Grover said justifying his statement.
Housing board chairman and Khattar's confidant Jawahar Yadav too endorsed him. "He meant the politics of development only will work. Secondly, he has said it in a positive way that too with honest and sincere emotions towards the state and the party. He had very politely tried to silent our critics," Yadav explained.
On the other hand, former CPS and senior spokesman of Haryana Congress said Ran Singh Maan, "Finally, the truth has started tumbling out, that too from the mouth of BJP leaders. Since they could not create a divide on religion lines, they used caste divide. We don't have assembly polls looming, else you would have seen the consequences. They (BJP men) too have realized that they have lost base in Haryana."

Now, after the riots, Jat leaders are defending rioters and demanding their release. In a relief to Jat Probationary Officers (POs) who were dismissed after a year in service, the Supreme Court today validated their appointment paving the way for their reinstatement. Disposing of the interlocutory applications by the POs, the double Bench of the Supreme Court, comprising Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice Prafulla C Pant, validated the appointments of POs who had joined the service before March 17, 2015, when the apex court quashed a Centre’s notification on the OBC status for Jats. The previous UPA government had granted the OBC status to Jats in March 2014. The counsel for the applicants, advocate Rajiv Ranjan, told The Tribune that the court categorised the applicants (dismissed POs) in three categories. “Those who had completed their training and those undergoing training before March 17, 2015, were included in category 1 and category 2. The appointments of these applicants have been validated. But those who were selected, but were not given joining letters were included in the third category and they have not been given relief,” Ranjan said, adding that the court recognised the vested right of the applicants under Article 142 of the Constitution. The Supreme Court had issued a notice to the Centre on February 8 after they approached the court against their dismissals. Pradeep Nehra, who was appointed a PO in the SBI on December 18, 2014, said he was happy over the Supreme Court’s judgment. The bank issued him a termination notice on January 15. Nearly 40 POs, mostly from Haryana, who were selected under the OBC quota, were dismissed from service by SBI, IDBI, Bank of Baroda and Syndicate Bank after one year of service. Earlier, the Supreme Court Registrar had dismissed the applications for impleadment, directions and clarification on the judgment of March 17, 2015, stating the judgment was not prospective. The Central Recruitment and Promotion Department (CRPD) of the SBI had issued an advertisement for the post of POs and invited online applications from April 7, 2014, against 1,837 vacancies.

Just watched a few videos of thugs - raj Kumar saini and roshan Lal arya. In one of them raj Kumar saini calling Jats suar and suar ke bachhe (pigs and offspring of pigs).
Is it not time that the jat organisations file complaints against these thugs from all the districts in haryana and even outside haryana because in this IT age, his speeches can be viewed online by people outside haryana and even outside India. These are acts against the security and integrity of india and I am sure attract very stringent sentence.
I would dare saini and arya to say about yadavs of UP and Bihar what he has said about jats. Yadavs have been a dominant community in UP and bihar with Yadav CMs and unlike jats majority of the junior to senior administrative and bureaucratic posts are occupied by them there and yet enjoy reservation . I need not say what consequences saini and arya would meet at the hands of yadavs there.

We need to act as a mature community by undertaking introspection and detailed analysis of what went wrong and how to correct things especially as far as relation with other communities is concerned, thereby also isolating these thugs instead.
Is it not time that the jat organisations file complaints against these thugs from all the districts in haryana and even outside haryana because in this IT age, his speeches can be viewed online by people outside haryana and even outside India. These are acts against the security and integrity of india and I am sure attract very stringent sentence.
I would dare saini and arya to say about yadavs of UP and Bihar what he has said about jats. Yadavs have been a dominant community in UP and bihar with Yadav CMs and unlike jats majority of the junior to senior administrative and bureaucratic posts are occupied by them there and yet enjoy reservation . I need not say what consequences saini and arya would meet at the hands of yadavs there.

Province namingly 'Jatland' in physical form is the solution to all these issues.
Also in democratic system 'the role of physical power' of individuals should be introduced . At present there is just counting of individuals without the option of weighing them.

इसराना थाना के उप निरीक्षक आनंद ने बताया कि कश्मीर सिंह ने मामला दर्ज करवाया था कि वह 20 फरवरी को बेटी लक्ष्मी के साथ बाइक पर काकौदा में साली के घर उधार के लिए दो लाख रुपए लौटाने जा रहा था। डाहर टोल के पास कुछ आंदोलनकारियों ने उस पर लाठी से हमला कर दिया। मारपीट कर उसका दो लाख से भरा बैग, सोने की चेन, बाइक, मोबाइल फोन आदि लूट ली।
बहन के घर रख आया था बाइक
जांच में सामने आया कि आरोपी अपनी बाइक यूपी के बहन के घर रख कर आया था। जो दो लाख रुपए की डकैती होना बता रहा है, उसकी सत्यता साबित नहीं कर पाई। वह दो लाख रुपए कहां से आए यह भी नहीं बता पाया। पूछताछ में कश्मीर सिंह ने 28 मार्च को पुलिस के सामने माफीनामा लिख दिया।
अधिकारियों के आदेश पर गिरफ्तारी
एफआईआर कैंसिल करने के बाद मामला पंचकूला पुलिस मुख्यालय तक पहुंचा। पुलिस अधिकारियों के निर्देश पर आरोपी कश्मीर सिंह के खिलाफ आईपीसी की धारा 182, 420 व 505,2 के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया।

कई शहरों मे लाल रंग नही दिखाई जा रही क्योंकि उसमे एक जाट ने काम किया है! रही बात जाटवाद फैलाने कि तो समंदर दूर से जितना शांत लगता है उतना होता नही! हरियाणा अब वो नही है जो होता था लोगों मे जहर फैला हुआ है और कब जातिवाद की चिंगारी फैलेगी कोई नही बता सकता पर ये पक्का है कि आगे जो होगा वो काफी भयावह होगा

We know this my friend. BJP supporters may deny your claim or simple turn a blind eye to such important issues. But I completely agree with you on this ground situation. RSS is promoting social stratification in the state by using media and state machinery as a tool. They have sidelined Jaats in the bureaucracy, Jaat policemen have been blamed for state failure in handling riots. Conspiratorial theories such as Murthal Rapes have planted to malign image of Jaats. RSS has an ideology of promoting castism. Contours of social divisions is alarming, will bring further destruction in the state. I think its a high time for Jaats to think about their strategies to counter such forces. We need to align with Dalits to weaken these forces. Punjab assembly election will be the key and it will have ripple effects on BJP's hold in northern states. AAP is likely to make inroads in Punjab and that will be the start of BJP destruction.
