If not M... then....there might seem chaos.

In past too we have seen such things happen.

Chaos never create leaders but a few opportunistic people with some selfish alliances which ultimately collapse with a disaster. But yes it may entertain so many people when PM changes after every few months rather than a boring five years tenure.
How many people would like to vote for VP Singh, Chandershekhar, Gujral or Devegouda type tenures ?

That's my point. If not M then who ....... opportunistic leaders emerging from chaos and their selfish alliances invite disasters only.

Ramlal from our nearby village can't emerge as a PM from chaos overnight. People have to choose someone from the leaders who are already on the stage ( bigger or smaller). We hardly see a face who seems to be fit to accept a bigger challenge and great responsibility. Self declared mighty leaders (Mulayam, Mayawati or Mamta) are synonymous of destructive adventurers. Delhiwala has got such a big set of horns that he can't get out from his own house. Nitish Kumar has NOW become communal. Oldest party of India might have some faces but their qualifications has been already disqualified by their highly experienced, immensely mature and forever young president.
Then who ?
Ironically, there is no dearth of people who would like to declare that some Ramlal would be a better replacement for M. Now, that's the greatest astrological prediction of the century.

I am not sure why we are so concerned about Prime Minister Post in our parliamentary system. We are not a presidential system where two parties nominate their candidacy for the President. Indian constitution is well thought out by its founding fathers where local issues also important as national issues. They way BJP is trying to set a narrative using paid media and social media, days are not far where we will see a DANDA rule like China. Those days are coming really quickly as there are now talks of holding simultaneous state and centre elections. Corporates are well aware of money being spent in campaigns and holding election as they fund campaigns for parties. They want to maximize return on their investment by reducing the concept of statehood. State will slowly loose its autonomy and people will be trapped by a Feku like Modi and corporates who will mix state issues with central issues. Sold media is already running campaign for corporates so that an opinion can be formed among people. And then BJP will launch a video of surgical strike which will make people vote to same party if elections are held together. Sold media is 24x7 busy in running campaign for the BJP rather than highlighting it's issues. Look at the state of media. Nobody can write against government in media or criticize this govt. Being ignorant about such serious issues, people are digging their own graves. They are on mercy of corporates who are controlling anything and everything of common people lives.

But do not underestimate the common man either...
In Delhi, apart from other various other reasons, people voted for AAP to bring BJP to senses when its leaders had become all so arrogant...and mind you, this happened soon after the Lok Sabha elections when Modi wave was at its prime.
So...public can make or break...yes, the voting machines is another worry....VVPAT...will it work...Dont know.

Also, local issues have always been a priority in assembly elections even if Lok Sabha elections are conducted simultaneously.
I still remember, when we were kids, at times Assembly and Lok Sabha polls have been together but voters used to be very clear...

It's not about leadership only but its the numbers that counts the most. Naveen babu can't produce numbers from a single state to influence the pack of power hungry politicians. Secondly, Naveen Babu is not over ambitious like Nitish who left NDA just before 2014 to become leader of the pack.
Naveen babu a smart politician who knows that such an opportunistic alliance won't last long and any disastrous adventure in center could dent his established reputation in his own state.

What the hell Deen Dyal Upaadhay did in Haryana or for youth to be named in every stone nowadays?

Yes that's right. But Delhi elections were held almost 8 months after central elections. And then people got to about BJP within that time frame. Also Kezri wanted full mandate so that he could implement his promised policies. But in today's time, if elections are held together, then result might be different. BJP already surveyed different states like Rajasthan, MP etc and they know their state leadership performance is abysmal and but Modi popularity is high. So they can cash on Modi's popularity and get people to vote for BJP.

If state and central elections are held together, then the idea of statehood will be diluted. Local parties will be slowly irrelevant and central issues will be confused with local issues. In today's scenario, this is already happening and local parties are slowly loosing their relevance.

They way BJP is controlling anything and everything in the country, days are not far, we will be fearing criticizing govt at any level. Govt accountability will be lesser and lesser. Anyway only time will tell, when people will realize it.
