May God bless you with a son

The book depicts the typical Indian mentality. Wrong translation is no answer. I think to neutralise the effect the teacher could give further examples by replacing the word 'son' with daughter and child. Poonam and Satyeshwar's comments reminded me of a true incident in a village. It so...

    Reservation - How Relevant ?

Reservation is a contentious issue which if not done away with may one day lead to pogrom. It has nothing to do with the upliftment of so called dalits as reservation has polarised even them. Those dalits or SC/STs who grabbed the opportunity early continue to benefit whereas those who were...

Does India need to increase or decrease it's defense spending?

Dear Sumit, Privatisation of defence would be biggest folly and no government would even consider it. The present defence structure is the best one can think of . Thekedari can never defend the country. Soldiers are nurtured to love their motherland not lured by money.

    what about intercaste marriage?

What you suggest would have been the ideal alternative, Kharub sahab, but Rajputs and Yadavs are in no better position as regards sex ratio. Pashtuns, Arabs and Turks is very difficult proposition as they hardly like Indians, though I personally know a couple of jat boys married to Pashtuns but...

    what about intercaste marriage?

Inter-caste, ethnicity, compatibility etc. etc. very heavy words, sir ke uppar ke uttar ge. What a paradox that we are talking about inter-caste ! Inter-caste marriage for jats is not a matter of choice anymore. Rather it is a necessity. Why? Because, we committed the sin of killing the...

Does India need to increase or decrease it's defense spending?

We can discuss this topic as free Indians only till we are spending on the defence of our country. The day we stop spending on defence, we will be discussing "how to defend" or in the worse scenario "how to liberate our country".

Places with common names in India and Rest of the world

Interesting topic. My own village KAIR (near Najafgarh) shares its name with a coastal city in Egypt. I have not come across any other village in India bearing the same name. Interestingly, however, a Pakistani friend told me that there is a Kair village near Lahore.

A young Jat star on the horizon

Having observed the acting of Rajat Tokas as Prithviraj Chauhan in the historical TV serial , I am of the view that this lad has great potential and will go a long way. Earlier he had impressed with his acting in the serial "Sai Baba" . He must be from Munirka (?). My blessing to this young jat.

Openly biased and double standred jatland administration...see the proof

quote > "There is another related problem of one honorable member who uses a fake name on the forum but is clearly has distinct legal name. What is the policy of the admin on this issue? (I brought this to the notice of Deepak sometime ago and i am sure he has plans on this matter but i would...

    politics everywhere

Bhai, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bihar kahin dekh lo, Bhagwan ne hi baksh rakhe hain, government nai kya kar diya. Paisan pe lath baja rhe sai, aam admi to apne survial ke liye khud hi lad rahya hai. In almost 60 years, we are not assured of a glass of drinking water, if God wills otherwise.

    Shastri Ji : An Evaluation

Col. Sahab, I too am a great admirer of Shastriji as he was definitely an honest man in complete love with his country. But I always had doubt about his ability to withstand pressure (or was he too emotional). After the railway accident he resigned and after Tashkent he had the stroke and...

    politics everywhere

Nothing to worry about India as it is governed by the God. Hence, nothing will happen to it. For our day-to-day afffairs, we have to take care of ourselves. If we all individually remain the country will remain strong. As regards politicians, they are a bit costly jokers to entertain you...
