    Dear Rakesh Ji, Ram Ram.
    If your son is intersted in mechant navy or in offshore oil field jobs, let him go for engineering, or Join as a cadet onboard a merchant ship. there will be lot of advertisement in national papers in June-July for cadets. Also he can apply through TS Chanakya at Nerul, New Mumbai, Maharastra. But he should secure very good marks in 12th for all that.
