2014 Lok Sabha elections discussions

What are current making as per you all? Who is doing better now? Is it BJP which is going to make the govt or third front with support of Congress. AAP which was seen as a major player previously is not going to do good in LS.

BJP still is the front runner to emerge a the single largest party. The margin (150-200) and the seats of the allies will determine if NDA can hit 272.

Whats stopping them? Relatively weaker strength and a lack of allies in Southern and Eastern states and the AAP factor (somewhat diminished since a month back.)

Rajpal ji,

Silence is not weakness always, it is this prime minister who has given a govt of 10 years, took India's growth to new hieghts, kept it strong when west was going down.

There was corruption and riots during Vajpayee's regime too- telecom-coffin, how much did you hear him cry or shout?

Two mistakes do not make one good thing. If Vajpayee Government did not prove up to expectations of the people, he was fired by the power of their ballot.

If we take the present political milieu 'silence' stands for inaction/delayed action/or no action at all in case of various 'scams '. This has given a big handle to his opponents to beat him on his own turf.

You would agree that had the hon'ble Prime Minister spoken at the right time on these issues, the things for his party would have been altogether different !

Sir,

I dont think ballot is the only way to gauge a government's work and let me give you 3 examples:

1) India needs drastic remedy from subsidies like oil but the moment any government takes that they will be thrown out of power in spite of thinking good for country

2) Modi has been elected thrice but gujarat development has nothing miraculous besides the PR generated by his holiness

3) AAP is chosen to power on populist promises which are sucking money from development projects- it is also known as a govt formed in TV studios and media debates

In short - populism and loud mouthness is not the criterion to judge anyone, work is

Arm chair theoreticians keep on harping like the one in which we are engaged here and discuss anything under the sun; but Work, promises to work and elimination of leakages of public funds--whether real or imaginary-- at certain levels make the public to look for alternative political parties or groups of political parties at the hustings every time !

See how "congress" MPs from Andra Pradesh made India witness a 'new low' in democracy today :

I am pretty sure the MP did not save that much from their official salary during last 5 years. Can someone ask these MP's where these funds will come from and who will give them the credit for reelection.
