I doubt it big time ,

First of all Its bush last year and they are still not done with Iraq and infact suffering a lot.

US economy is in very bad shape and certainly headed for a recession.

One years time we will have a new president( likely an democrat ) and theya re advocating withdrawal of troops from IRaq so they just cant start another war !

Six reasons that they will not attack Iran

  1. As anil said They are still struggling in Iraq and don't want to open another front.
  2. US have its own problems more than ever mostly economic ones and finance plays a big role during any war.
  3. Bush already had an image of interfering into other countries personal matters and undulging into wars and most of the political figures in US doesn't like this attitude.
  4. US don't have the courage to invade any country without having a support from NATO or UN counsil. NATO is not interested on this topic.
  5. Remember how closest allies of US ( Germany and France ) reacted when IRAQ was attacked. Now, there is no Tony Blair or Howard to support US blindly and they know it.
  6. Putin is dreaming of old Soviet Union. He already warned the west about consequences of implanting the missiles in Ukraine. Russian Flag and fighter jets on North Pole says that Putin means business NOW.

Right, it's highly unlikely for US to have another war in the present circumstances.

The US economy is not headed for but already is in a recession. True, it can still get nastier. About the official declaration, I do not think they will ever do that...typical 'American' of them. :)! Today their economy is suffering mainly due to the Iraq war costs resulting in huge budget deficit($400 billion) and increase in national debt by around $3trillion.

I hope the democrats come into power again. Clinton talks much about protecting American jobs & trade and would be reluctant to open-up... hurting the global economy. However, Obama proposes creating more jobs for Americans by opening up the economy and supporting globalization. In my opinion, Obama would be a better choice not for the Americans but for the entire world. On a lighter note, the anti-American muslims too need a friend. John McCain??...better he lose. May Obama win.

Thanks,
Sumit

Putin...aaah!! What an amazing personality...I love him. But, how many years is he left with as a Russian President?
Okay Medvedev has been handpicked by him because of the Gazprom connection but I still wonder if Medvedev would act like a puppet. It is very likely for Putin to lead Gazprom once Medvedev takes the 'throne'. Only time will tell.

Waise, to boast a little, I have been lucky enough to meet Mr. Putin once for a brief time. Impressed with the Bangalore Infy campus, he quipped to Mr. Murthy "I don't understand how you people work here in such an awesome professional environment". Mazza aa gaya tha :):):):)!!

Thanks,
Sumit

Democrats are not going to pull our of Iraq. They are just saying things in debates to get elected. Once they are elected, they can care less. Look at Bush, he can care less about American opinion - http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/09/27/dems.debate.ap/

Democrats WILL pull out of Iraq. Period.

Thanks,
Sumit

now where did you get that information? Don't just assume - http://action.richardsonforpresident.com/page/content/2013/obamarecord/

71% want us out of Iraq - http://thinkprogress.org/2006/09/27/iraqis-poll/

*I am sure by now that number is much higher

Politics is dirty my friend and politicians will say anything to get elected. Yes Obama is a nice guy but don't think if he is elected, he will pull out right away. US has heavily invested in New American Embassy (largest in the world) at cost of $1.2 billion per year - http://thinkprogress.org/2007/05/29/photos-embassy-iraq/

itni tension to americans ko bi na hogi

well I live here and economy matters to me. So anything (war) that will lead to more spending of money scares me because they will simply print more money and dilute the value of dollar. Who gets hurt in the end ? Middle Class families

Everything is going up and it will go up more in the coming months. Of course economy will recover but it might take a while.

@ Sumit : Intuitions just dont work here buddy !

You are right democrats are saying such things but they will not do that.

They cant pull out so sudden.

Even after huge political will , it required friendly ground conditions for US to leave which aint happening in near future :)

And Mrs. Clinton also stated that "We can't win there and hence our troops should pull out from IRAQ"

Now, do they have any courage to invade IRAN ?

america is smart and selfish not coward........sometime constant pressure on enemy works better thn war....they have a history to fought wars without any valid reasons......world war 2,vietnam war, gulf war and now iraq war.....when the situation demands they can fight with anyone.........AMERICANS are so selfish that they will not spare even canada(their lovely neighbour) if the situation demands:D..wat the hell iran is???

is waqt to america ke pass itne daane nahi hai ke wo Iran ki tarf dekhe.........
Doosri baat Iran ko Russia ka bhari support hai.........
Tissari baat america itni jaldi afghanistan aur Iraq nahi chodde sakta to Iran ka swaal hi nahi utthta................

Iran ki military capacity Iraq aur Afghanistan se kahi jyada hai..........isliye present haalat me to america asa nahi socch sakta........

Obama Claims Nomination; First Black Candidate to Lead a Major Party Ticket

By JEFF ZELENY
Published: June 4, 2008

Senator Barack Obama claimed the Democratic presidential nomination on Tuesday evening, prevailing through an epic battle with Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton in a primary campaign that inspired millions of voters from every corner of America to demand change in Washington

A last-minute rush of Democratic superdelegates, as well as the results from the final primaries, in Montana and South Dakota, pushed Mr. Obama over the threshold of winning the 2,118 delegates needed to be nominated at the party’s convention in August. The victory for Mr. Obama, the son of a black Kenyan father and a white Kansan mother, broke racial barriers and represented a remarkable rise for a man who just four years ago served in the Illinois Senate.

“Tonight, we mark the end of one historic journey with the beginning of another — a journey that will bring a new and better day to America,” Mr. Obama told supporters at a rally in St. Paul. “Because of you, tonight I can stand here and say that I will be the Democratic nominee for president of the United States of America.”

Mr. Obama’s victory moved the presidential campaign to a new phase as he tangled with Senator John McCain of Arizona in televised addresses Tuesday night over Mr. Obama’s assertion that Mr. McCain would carry on President Bush’s policies. Mr. McCain vigorously rebuffed that criticism in a speech in Kenner, La., in which he distanced himself from the departing president while contrasting his own breadth of experience with Mr. Obama’s record.

Right, it's highly unlikely for US to have another war in the present circumstances.
