My Commanding officer , Commander Signal 4 Division , Lt Col Tiwari who had stayed with the battalion over night, was captured by the Chinese during their attack on 1/9 GR on 20 October 1962
Major Ram Singh, the Second in Command of the Regiment was shot and killed by the Chinese while trying to contact the Brigade by a helicopter flight
Other casualties in the 45 or so Signal personal , with me providing Communication to the Brigade, that I was commanding ,
