A Nice Story.........

A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter, "please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river."

The little girl said, "No, Dad. You hold my hand."

"What's the difference?" the puzzled father asked.

The little girl replied, "There's a big difference, If I hold
your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."

In any relationship, the essence of trust is not
in its bind, but in its bond.

So hold the hand of the person whom you want to be with you rather than expecting him/her to hold your's...

I didn't get it. The girl's statement and moral of the story seem to be going in opposite directions. She expected her father to hold her hand, while the professed moral is "....rather than expecting him/her to hold your's"

I think the moral of the story is that when crossing a river (or a road for that matter), the adult should hold the hand of the child as his/her grip (both physical as well as emotional) would be stronger (Kudos to the little girl though for showing quick & smart thinking under a potentially dangerous situation).

No..not like that...it means that the person who really loves you, would never leave you in any thick or thin so let him/her hold your hand so that you can easily pass out any down fall....it is with a deep sense...Gharaai me jaakar samazne wali baat hai :)

i agree with you that girl was smart.she knew she will be more safe in her dads hands.moral of the story is exactly opposite.....confusing.
