Friends .............just came across one beautifully written peom on recent happenings in Mumbai and thought should share with you all.

"Mumbai,
Which taught us to dream, desire Aspire, inspire
Is today a raging fire....
Mumbai,
Treated with such disdain
By a bunch of men insane
So distraught with pain....
Mumbai,
We went about our petty chores
Unmindful of its open, welcoming doors
Was betrayed by its own shores..
Mumbai,
Each of us in our own way hit
But had each of us done our bit
None of us would have a pyre lit...
Mumbai,
Talk of your resilience is an excuse
For us to our sense of duty abuse
Consign your suffering to tv news...
Mumbai,
The Oberoi & the Taj will rise again
And time may erase each blood stain
But who will ensure our heroes didn't die in vain...?
Mumbai
Safely home, I thanked my stars
Full of sympathy for others' scars
Overcome with concern from afar...
Mumbai
But last night as I lay tossing in bed
I heard a measured voice inside my head
And the soul of the city to me said
Tomorrow you will arise at dawn
Believing that life must go on
But spare a thought for those who fell
For no fault of theirs' did toll the bell
Leaving behind so many ravaged souls
Hearts & spirits riddled with bullet holes
For them the hands of time stand still
And you say you have already had your fill?
The obituaries may not have your name
But hope you will hang your head in shame..."

it seems there is desperate need of private participation in the governance process, as the whole country has given up hopes on politicians we have in our country.
