acid attack

Just came accross the news of acid attack on a jat girl in bombay train Station
As soon as ms Rathi got down sombody threw acid on her face blinding her by one eye
Other family members also got injured, aunt sunita Dahiya, father amar Singh Rathi were with her.
If it is done so easily, even when she was with family members in a very crowded place
In my opinion, only effective deterance to this is, tough law

Another barbaric incident.

As per news reports the girl was there to join her first job as a nurse.

News at: http://www.afternoondc.in/city-news/her-dreams-cut-short/article_81661

The surprising thing is that at the time of attack the boy is reported to be hiding his face by handkerchief and hence he could not be recognized. However, on the same news it is reported that a 27 year boy had followed them from Delhi on the same train and got down at four stations including Vadodara, Surat, Navsari and Kota to attack the girl but he failed to do so because she did not come out of the train to purchase anything.

" Nobody came forward for help. The crowd could have caught the boy but everybody just stood there watching"

In agreement with the stringent law and punisment . Though................

What always make me wonder---where the hell is our Concious , it was such a crowdy place . Were we so damn selfish or blind that we could not see that happening .
Culprits just do not take advantage of Weak Laws , corrupt system rather COWARD & SELFISH PEOPLE LIKE US - who would stand their watching n later move to our own business..........

" yar kissi ki pange mei kya padna , mera kya jata hai police ka kam hai woh dekhegi "

We forget , uski jagah kal ko koi mera sage wala bhi ho sakta hai.

Attending court cases for a decade is no magic. It becomes a nightmare when both sides use everything at their disposable, in a thoroughly corrupt system, to break the witnesses. Though I agree that we are in dire need of such people, not many can withstand that much. So the more logical way is that if we have to fight that much we should fight to first change the system so that it becomes much more easier for others to follow.

"first change the system"

Absolutely ----best resolution . We all know this would take time ------rome was not built in a day till then what ......watch all these as mute spectators n then put all blame on system . What about our moral responsibility . I may be wrong -----we all have to do our bit .
Just some thought........"

N I am right----they all know no body would intervene coz of courts , laws , police . As i said earlier if that somebody would be some relative of mine even then I would have afraid of intervention or courts n all .
N I think we all can stop these things before damage could be done , just by being good support system .

I may be thinking too hard ......I wonder ----in that delhi bus case some one would have stopped those folks in boarding the bus as it is not suppose to be on normal routes .
In this case Yar aise kaise kissi ki himmat ho jaye itna karne ki------itni himmat tabhi huyee na when culprit was so damn sure ki koi beech mei nahi bolega

Facts are facts, regardless of weather we hate them or love them.

My dad says, people used to help. Something has changed people's attitude. What is that thing? I don't think it's a genetic disorder, deep within, many people still want to help, I believe.

Would you blame people or would you blame the thing that changed their attitude?

Today, it seems that it takes an extra ordinary effort to cater such a help. I am with you in taking that extra ordinary effort; however, those who are not, I believe, are not all cowards.

Circumstances have changed. When people used to help, they were not harassed. If you help some accident victim today, you will be harassed to the maximum. The incompetency of Police deptt has to do a lot with these changes. That's why people have started to think just about themselves. They dont want them into a trouble because they helped.

"Would you blame people or would you blame the thing that changed their attitude?"

I would blame people , meri nani kehti hai " jo badal jaye woh acha manas ( human ) nahi , badalte halat hai mausam hai manas nahi " .
If somebody changes this means woh hamesha se hi aisa tha , bas uske sahi rang ab dikhe .

I understand this saying is in "singular" tense. It's not applicable to masses.

Masses adopt to the changes in environment (including social environment).

Han ji , it is all what I believe in .
Masses submit to the good / bad situation question is for how long . If things are not right better fight against them instead of submitting to them .

Trust me its worth dying for .........than to die thinking everyday I wish I could have done something . We all have concious we all think some admit some not .

Looks like a case of disgruntled/obsessed lover. For such crimes (which ruins the life of a female rape, acid attack etc) I feel that the accused must be prosecuted by Hammurabi's law code. Shame nothing will change though :(

well man, in mumbai and delhi the most of crowd is selfish, i do experience it most of time, in all other cities its much better:tears_of_joy:

Upto some extent ur right in case of road accident. If it was road accident and i was there even i wouldnt have helped if the victim was dead or about to die ,because those empty vessel policemen to waive off their burden would have established me as the culprit, but this was the different case, as it was the case of assault on women and people would have easily helped nabbing that boy, because there would have been no chance of harresment by police in this type of case. Even the public is weired, i mean if u have been in such incident and police comes at ur door step for investigation, the neighbours think that this person is a culprit, and ultimately its like the "horns of dellima " for comman man......If they dont help, they lay down in their morale and if they help they have to face the social trauma, but anyways, the crowd would have nabbed that boy....it would have been much better

Well why do people always say to change the system???why they forget that they them selves are part of system????Just think for a while, and u will come to know that almost all of persons whom we know have some of their kin in police, fire, court------.I mean system cant be " shaktimaan" that its officials can guess the occurence of event and go there in blink of second. If people would have nabbed that boy ,justice would obviously be fast as police would have dealt with the court rather than waisting time in searching him. Also if people were awake, they would have been witness in case and the boy would be behind the bars in a very short span of time.So people have to change, not the system, system is right on its part.....:tears_of_joy:

"they them selves are part of system
So people have to change, not the system, system is right on its part"

- In agreement we made this system directly or indirectly we are responsible . So when we are talking about changing it we need to change ourselves for good . All people like us lead to some system , however I can vouch for my own behaviour not everyone's behaviour . Thus system has to change as per changing needs n time .
Some X system was good 2 decades back which would fail now coz time , priorities , thinking good -bad has changed . One famous quote " Only thing which is steady n constant is CHANGE " . No system is perfect .

"If people would have nabbed that boy ,justice would obviously be fast as police would have dealt with the court rather than wasting time in searching him. Also if people were awake, they would have been witness in case and the boy would be behind the bars in a very short span of time.So people have to change"

That is what I have put emphasis on , it is because of Selfish people like us culprits dare to do so . They know by the time so called system made by us would realise what they have done , they would be ...... Go Went Gone

......

If you have someone known in the police and courts, take an honest and friendly suggestion. Let's see what they say.

Once I had discussed these things, very humbly with an elderly person (not known to me) who witnesses court cases on daily basis. He suggested to me, in the same humble tone, "beta you can not fight the system, system is much deeper and bigger then it appears".

There are people with parties like AAP who are trying to bring positive changes to the system. However, Arvind Kezriwal was abused on this very forum. How many of you responded to those abuses?

I feel pity when these same people say that "we have to change first". In public forums like this, showing over-smartness is stupidity.

Next time, do some help. I am sure you will feel good. If you can take a photo (even from your mobile) of the accident scene before entering, it would save you from being established as the culprit in the rare unfortunate case.

Many accident causalities occur due to excess bleeding. So don't hesitate in providing first aid.

If you are too afraid, then at least ask for help by calling an ambulance at 102 or 1099, or calling police at 100.

Well no man is perfect, so for someone he is stupid and for someone he might be over smart, and for someone he might be smart and so on...... thanks for that complement.

By the way i have talked to many, and my friend if u were aware of the case of "delhi brave heart", then u know that an old policeman had a total collapse and he died on spot because he was there on duty for more than 20 hours. His whole family was shattered as he was the only person who was earning bread for the family of 8, now tell me who was responsible for his death?????System or people???? Did any of so call mango man who were in protest paid any heed to that man????If they would have had protested in organized manner, then there would have been no requirement of police force. Why do people become so impatient and agressive??? There are many areas in delhi and all other metro cities of which many people even locals are unaware of, then how can police be of it????They work for 24 hours most of time just to make sure the safety of people. There are many areas which are very difficult to approach. And yes ur right" No one can fight the system", yes because system is a means of governance of the society, which u can say exactly same as the constitution, and so "one has to fight within the system and not with the system." And regarding arvind kejriwal, i do respect him, because he left his lavish job for the sake of bringing a change. But his way was completely unacceptable and immature, because its foolish to fight without any power which he had done.If he was so confident then why didnt he came into power formed his own party and fight elections and then bring change???After all nations Constitution is above all, so we cant challenge it or just make laws by protesting, fight elections, come into power, then then bring change according to "the great Constitution of Republic of india"....Thats why public was little confused with kejriwaal, because when public was with them they didnt paid any heed and after that they followed the same path.....Ya now when he has corrected himself and formed AAP he has done a great job, and so we should firmly support his party and i do support him.As this is the right way to be in system and then change it rather than fighting with it...

And for me MY nation, Its Constitution, its System are above all and the one who fight against it or goes against it does not deserve any respect or support from my side.....JAI HIND
