Aftermath of Haryana Assembly Results and We the Jats

Haryana Poll Results are out and Mr Manohar Lal Khatter is going to be 1st BJP CM. Albeit he belongs to non-Jat community (migrant from Pakistan) no one knows how much he understands Jat mental setup. But we can assume he should have good understanding of the Jat mindset as he & his family after migrating from Pakistan have settled in the core Jat belt i.e. Rohtak. One thing that I have observed is, most of these Pakistani migrants don't like Jats (Why?) and despite their 67 year long association with Haryana & its original inhabitants in general and particularly with the Jats they could never develop any bond of camaraderie. They have apparently no attachment to the idea that it was Jat who let them settle in his village(s), town(s) city & state. They 'hate' our dressing sense, our food habits and our local dialect. In nutshell it can be stated that these migrants from Pakistan have never appreciated Haryanvi culture and its traditions.

Now, friends, has the time not ripened yet for us to introspect where we stand in the labyrinth of today's socio-politic fabric? I invite your views.

Soon i.e. 26th Oct there is swearing in ceremony. It will be matter of interest to watch who & how many Jats are inducted in the Haryana Govt Cabinet. It is quite clear that BJP gave tickets to about more than 2 dozen Jats, but how many of them could succeed? I think just 5. This amply clarify the anti BJP stance taken by the voters (Especially Jat voters). They didn't buy much Modi's ideas. Have we failed in approximating the change in politics? Obviously YES. We proclaim ourselves using "Smart", 'intelligent', 'dominant' and so many other such adjectives. Here we have failed, not just failed, but utterly failed?

Khangress at present it is candid has very gloomy future. INLD has been favorite of most of Jats. But it is actually 'a privately personally owned political party'. None can other than Chautala family dream of reaching the top position. Yet, it has been popular despite its weaknesses and in spite of its popularity it has shown quite disheartening performance, in recent Assembly Elections.

So, we have to decide our position in the political scenario of Haryana in particular and India in general.

What's your opinion, friends?

People must reject all local /regional pvt limited(s) in perticular, to develop a better political sceneio in India...........

No community as a whole loves or hates the other but individual persons do !

Therefore, I beg to differ with these stereo-type observations about other communities. I think the theme chosen for discussion vide your two above quoted posts do not carry much weight to improve the image of the Jats which you seem to intend to do by starting this thread.

No perceivable crises has arisen to Jat Identity as they have significant presence in different political parties as chosen representatives [MLAs/MPs] and it is hoped that they would successfully raise their voice against any injustice to the community as a whole.

So no bogey of discrimination may be raised without any solid proof. Through the ages Jats of India have faced challenges with rare fortitude and even now they are strong enough to repeat it, if circumstances force them to do so.

It is too early to suggest alternates !

We must have faith in our chosen representative at state and national level and let them guard community interests and state/national interests. If they fail to do so then the need of re-thinking ways and means will arise.

All media especially tv news channels are time and again clamouring after so many years a non Jat CM is elected despite Haryana a Jat dominant state and so on. Sometimes the legal proof is not available yet it's overtly or covertly felt that there is dislike for the Jats. Undoubtedly Jats have faced hard times successfully and they will do so in future as well.

By posting this thread as its title suggests we need to contemplate and introspect seriously the outcome of present political scenario. What is the reason generally inconspicuously other castes when given alternative go against Jats? I don't emphasise and point out the attitude of other castes towards Jats. I simply sincerely wish that we ought to join our heads why we are not accorded honest welcome by other castes and communities.

Hatred and love is all give and take, how much we respect them? Secondly he has just assumed office, so he should be given some time to see what he has to offer to the people of Haryana, and how is going to behave with jats. I have heard he supports the ideas of the khaps, so it would be interesting to see his stand same gotra marriages.
I still don't understand, what extra ordinary has been done by INLD for jats or the people of haryana? This election it is INLD who lost, its Congress who has lost, Hooda has won, he got 15 seats out of his good work and support for jats, he got his due. Simply raising a hue and cry and not showing patience leads us no where. 5 years is a long time, govt at center and state should be given time before coming to any conclusion.

By starting this thread I never meant to degrade, denounce or undervalue any community. But we can't change the factual state of affairs. Are we not then acting like an ostrich which hides its head in sand? We needn't be over emotional rather we dare face the facts. I simply wish to share views of Jat fraternity to discuss their political status in Haryana at this site which is exclusively for Jats only. I felt deep pangs of anguish when a few years back Ms Mayawati proclaimed that in Haryana there must be some non-Jat CM. However, her proclamation never materialized at that time. But such statement was undoubtedly derogatory & insulting for us. I am not affiliated to any political party. Therefore, I'm free to praise or stigmatize any political party by evaluating their work.
Sometime back I asked fellow Jats on this site to start efforts to own some electronic media where our community can highlight its glorious past and present. We have been slighted in the history because we never bothered to highlight our great and significant deeds to be included in the annals of history! We have example of our fellow Sikh Jat brothers who have intelligently worked hard to distinguish themselves. But at that time, some of my brothers took my advice in very light mood and tried to make fun of the topic. I strongly believe that our young boys and girls ought to join media- print and more specially electronic.
I once again emphasize that we should have healthy brain storming on the outcome of Haryana Assembly polls.

This is the need of the hour to join media in considerable numbers to present Jat point of view several issues facing the community.
