A day full of fun

Dear Community Members

The days of Annual Jat Picnic are nearing. We will be having our Volleyball League Finals on that day. Mr. Ram Saroop Arya Ji will be leading his team to battle Mr. Jagbir Sindhu's team for the Championship game. Mr. Dev Dabas's team will be wrestling with Mr. Jagbir Balyan's team for the bronze medal.

The Picnic will commence at Noon time. Please be in time so that you don't miss out on the most important aspect of these functions: "Meeting People".

It is the first hour of any function when people meet most people. So be in time. Confirm your participation to Mr. Sanjay Roperia, or Mr. Sandeep Verma or Mr. Harish Dhayal. This will help them in ordering the food.

Looking forward to a day full of fun. Cheers!

Volleyball: How them Moved Up

The volleyball league had the four teams this year as compared to three in previous year. This shows the progress we have made during the last one-year. The most important thing is that young boys are coming and playing. It is a pleasure to see the young boys improving so much. The most improved players during the year have been Mr. Ankush Baliyan, Mr. Vikas Sindhu, and Mr. Rahul Dahiya.

The following members captained the four teams:

Team 1: Mr. Ram Saroop Arya
Team 2: Mr. Dev Dabas
Team 3: Mr. Jagbir Baliyan
Team 4: Mr. Jagbir Sindhu

We had three days of play before the finals. On each play day a team was to play two games with each team of the league. That means six games per play day. Thus in all, each team played 18 games over the three weeks. This is how they fared on each play day:

Team Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Total
Won Lost Won Lost Won Lost Won Lost
Team A 6 0 3 3 1 5 10 8
Team B 1 5 2 4 4 2 7 11
Team C 4 2 3 3 1 5 8 10
Team D 1 5 4 2 6 0 11 7

It has been a great come back by Team D led by Mr. Jagbir Sindhu. Let us see who wins the crown. Come and cheer your team. We also need some commentators for a live commentary. We are expecting some media person who wants to relay it live. So come and join the fun.
