Agreed but as i said they can only do very limited activities with those funds. For overall development activities govt has the major responsibility. For decades the western UP has been neglected by UP govt, same was the case with Uttaranchal too earlier. Sometimes govt neglects the areas of certain MPs / MLAs if they know that the ruling govt is not going to get the benefit from it when it comes to political gains. Overall if you see UP is a backward state and one can not expect Western UP districts to become like of Noida, Gurgaon or Chandigarh.

Yes, and I know he has also been involved in taking huge bribe to vote for PV Narasimha govt. I am not an Ajit fan at all. Still, just to portray that he has not done anything and singling him out is incorrect. Why dont people see other nearby constituencies too. Bagpat is a very new district and Baraut has also become tehsil very recently. You go to area like Kairana and Shamli and you wont find them much different from Bagpat area in terms of development. Just assuming that it would have been different if there was some other MP from Bagpat area is an incorrect assumption to make. Sompal Shastri became an MP from Bagpat and was also made a minister for Agriculture in BJP govt, what did he do during his tenure to make the difference in that area. I am not defending Ajit here, I am only against the singling out of a particular politician with the sheer motive of maligning him without going into merits and demerits. What is the motive of posting selective news links on this thread without even debating them.
Please make an effort to read What Sompal did, i am not saying he deserves another win but do make an effort
Kairana MP Was Anuradha from Ajit's Party. She lost elections but guess what people had to say, poor fellow lost the elections but her work was tremendous. Do pay a visit and see what she has done.
Bhai, I am not contesting or going into details of who did what, neither I am capable of doing that. What I mean is the feel you have when you are in a particular area. For eg: If one visits Bagpat and Gaziabad, then one can feel the difference, does Kairana, Budhana, Shamli or other area has any major industry or development to make a point that Bagpat has been neglected while others flourished. These are all agriculture based constituencies, where price of fertilizer, electricity, crops matter over other things.

Ch. Charan Singh had been elected Chief Minister of U.P. twice and Prime Minister of India too, but I don't think he succeeded in getting
to these posts by maligning or abusing others. To show respect towards Ch. Charan Singh people of Baghpat area support Ch. Ajit Singh. Though I am not a very big supporter of Ajit Singh, but yet I would like to say that Ajit Singh doesn't have a very bad image. He is also helpful for the local people. I remember in village one of my cousins had sought Ajit's help in getting admission in some Bangalore based college and Ajit Singh hadn't disappointed him. Yeah, there are some Anuradha Chaudhary like things, but who is innocent here? Yet, if someone wants to emerge as a new leader of Baghpat district or whole Western U.P., then one should do something special rather than abusing Ch. Ajit Singh. Maligning or abusing Ch. Ajit Singh will just result in more sympathy for him. One should have solid agenda to beat RLD and solid performance to defeat Ch. Ajit Singh. Reservation rallies are not enough, success of such rallies is essential.

Very truly said. One of the reasons why Ajit enjoys such popular support is because he is accessible to people. The villagers think that he is one of their own as he atleast listens to their issues. Also, it is not that this sugarcane belt is backward in terms of education etc. There are educated people in every home, one will easily find people who have done Masters degree and are engaged in agriculture. Baraut has several reputed colleges where people come to study even from other districts. Now if few people here thinks that they know more then them or they know whom people of Bagpat should vote for, then I can't comment on that.

Can you compare the Sompal 13 Month work with Ajit 30 years work?Ajit was sharing power with Mulayam singh yadavin UP and we have seen how Yadavs got job in UP police and other department. I am not supporter of sompal but he has given "Kisan credit card" to farmers of india in just 13 months.

if ajit was/is a failure, confirmed by majority then what is the point in beating your chest and spewing unnecessary venom... that is what i wanted to say.

I only mentioned important issues which exist in Baghpat Lok sabha and entire JAT belt of western UP. Should;nt we raise it if its directly linked with "Maninye sansad". If being a voter I am rasing these points than how could I malign the image of any person. He can use the "vote bank" to us openly..are we merely vote bank only? who is malign our image?

ajit singh is not a 'chamar'... correct ? instead our own JAT brethren and son of legendary ch. charan singh. every time he is being accused (which you are doing so repeatedly with not so good intentions)... the 1st image that pops up in my mind is that of ch. sahab... nd that's where i have problem with.
refer post # 14 of ravi ji (wch actually should have been the title post) and your reply in the following post. the matter ends there. after that there were opinions of many worthy members voicing more or less the same opinion... period.

Why is it sick? I don't see anyone getting personal here. As long as Ajit Singh's words, works and politics is being discussed, what is the harm?
So, just because he is Ch. Charan Singh's son and a Jat, he can't be criticised beyond a point (I think that's what you are saying that he has been criticised enough, now leave him alone)? And then we cry about dynasties and corruption amongst our politicians. A pre-requisite for accountability is that no one is above questioning/criticism, whether it is Ajit Singh or Ch Charan Singh.
Piush may or may not have an agenda against Ajit Singh, but he should not be stopped from voicing his opinion, howsoever repetitive it is.
