Evangelists

Well let me add to my input. It is not as if Christanity is some evil cult or something. The religion is very noble. Detractors of the religion take quote out of context from the Bible. So the problem is not the religion.
Sumit one cant agree more with your comments. Evangelism makes good business sense as well. In fact, it is a very well paid job. I have met many and read about many champions. None of them was lesser than a millionaire.
There was this old man (in seventies) I met in a shopping mall. He started with the ususal - Jesus died for the sins of the humanity, not just Christian. Then he said a prayer holding the hands of our whol family. Finally he said, "Now that you are under Jesus' protection, you will go to Heaven".
I asked him what is the location of heaven. And whether he or even Jesus ever saw heaven. Naturally, he was shocked.
Finally I said, 'There is nothing like heaven or hell in this universe. If anywhere these can exist, it is here on the earth. The world will be heaven if human beings live an honest and righteous life. Otherwise it is hell.'
'You have done enough of sins by fooling people into Christianity. Now that you are close to grave, its time to earn some goodwill. Just recite AUM for your health and peace of mind. It is not a prayer to any Hindu God or something. It just produces vibrations in the body that act at cellular level."
That was the last I saw of him.
Christianity = Krishna neeti is indeed an exercise in Hajir Jawabi, I guess. But the write of the book may indded be passionate in his belief. Whatever little I read of the Bible, I did not find anything too objectionable in it. Nor was there anything profound from spiritual angle. But the way Church has hijacked the gospel written by St Paul, is certainly bad for humanity. The gap betwen the Christ of Faith and the Christ of history is so great that recently a sixty plus Italian sued his own friend, a padri, for spreading falsehood by claiming that Christ lived and performed miracles.
How the Vetican inspired believers destroyed civillisations and native religions all over the globe should be known to any common person who knows a little history. The history of Christianity is full of such actions. To the extent that Europeans have no clue about their pre-Christian history. Nor does the Church let European Govts make efforts to officially do something in this direction.

Some members have raised the issue of VHP. I think they are stupid, if nothing more. Though, considering that they are fighting against Islamic and Christian onslaught on Indian religions and culture, their strategy may be the only way. Afterall, LOHE KO LOHA HI KAAT SAKTA HAI.
And as the saying goes in rural areas - Nang ke saath nang hona padta hai.
