It is a challenge for a vegetarian to survive in the west .. but dont worry .. on every corner you will find a curry house .... so there is no need to carry your daal ,, chaval with you ;)

I eat everything and not very picky .. so I would not be the right person to tell you about finding veg food ...... but there are a lot of Indian stores around where you can buy everything Indian ... including daal, chaval, aata everything you can imagine (even Eno)

The weather now is allright ..... do definatelt take an umbrella or a raincoat with you ...... it can get a bit cold at night .... so something a light jacket or a sweater with you ....

Hello harsha ... if i am not wrong then you are the same who came in the bangalore jats meet with Meenu Chikkara ... Good luck harsha for your first onsite ...

You need to take care of the following things ...

1) Take 23 or at the max 25 in the luggage ...
which may include ...

1 kg urad ... this is not readily available if so then costly ...
1 kg moong + masoor ...these are available here with a little cost difference
hair oil of your choice ...
ghee ... boora ... shakkar ... etc dessi stuff that you think might miss here ... yahan ghee bhi beef wala mil jata hai .. to koe bhi cheej lene se pahele dekh lo ki beef ... chicken ... fish ... egg less hai kaya ...
some packets of dalia ... simmi(noodles) ,.,,. maggi etc ..
small black umbrella ... although you will find good weather now for next few months here ...
one warm jacket will be enough as in branded jackets not much difference ... and one will solve the initial purpose ...
only 4-5 dresses as you will purchase from here and then you have to leave back some of your favourites here only ... while going back :)
keep one dress from the above in your luggage + some necessary things... as sometimes the luggage are misplaced ... airlines provide you money but your items are gone ... :)
Dont put your original documents in the luggage instead keep them in the handbad which i think can be of 7 kgs ... depends on your airlines...

kul mila ke kapde-latte dhon ka koe fayda na hai ... khane ki cheeje le aana ... taki kuch din tum khud bana sako ... yahan well furnished houses bhi mil jaenge ...1 room set around 250 - 350 and 2 room set around 500 pounds .. baki apni company ke bando ke sath hi share kar sako to best rahega ......that your company will help you i think ...

Better not to stroll initially for late or alone ... better take National express bus/train from heathrow london if not have direct flight to manchestor (60-70 pounds bachenge aur surakhshit bhi raheta hai :) )...

chal if any other info is needed you can mail me at jitender.hooda@xansa.com or contact meenu if you are the same harsha ...

Mate its the UK its not Somaila you are going to ......... everything is available here .. you dont have to carry daal - chavel & aata from India to the UK ....

How embarassing will it be for you when some customs guy stops you and confiscated all your kirnaya store inventory from you .....

It you want to take something then better would be shaving products & cosmetics and things like that .... no problems with customs & not much weight
