Hi All,

Grand Salutes n' Hats Off to the LION Lt Gen Brar .. at age of 78 when old men struggle even to walk, he fought bare handedly with 4 armed terrorists to defend himself on Sunday evening in London. Gave me goosebumps n' adrenaline rush. Once a Lion always a Lion, this is what Indian Soldiers made of !!

Describing the incident, the 78-year-old Brar said he fought with the assailants, with "abnormal strength", and added: "Now when I think back I can't imagine how I fought with those three big guys. But I suppose being a soldier and having been in the army for so many years, one learns to defend oneself".

Would like to recommend *highly* book 'Operation Blue Star - True Story' written by Gen Brar himself to get the real insight n' true facts of the operation. Book is available on Flipkart - http://www.flipkart.com/operation-blue-star-true-story-pb-8174760687/p/itmdyu9zhhbqcehj

I wish Gen Brar speedy recovery!

Cheers

Well it appears Gen. Brar is still fighting fit at 78. This incident could have surely have been avoided if the Army HQ had coordinated with Indian HC in London and arranged some security for the Gen.

vo fighting fit hain to bahot hi badhiya baat hai bhai...

par aaj ek news dekhi thi... which shocked me more...

"Khalistanis send a message

Attack Not Meant To Kill Brar,But Show Uprising Still Alive "

aaj ke TOI pe padhi... page no 13... Home Ministry should take up the issue and should start working on the same...

Home ministry should definitely take notice. No ex-Armyman, that too someone like Lt.Gen. Brar should be allowed to face something like this.

About the Khalistan movement, its dead in Punjab. Maybe a few fringe elements raise its name for political purposes or to air other grievances. But the movement is certainly alive abroad. Most Sikhs in the West support the demand for Khalistan. Many of them are fed biased one-sided accounts of the events and hence do not understand all nuances of the issue.

Khalistant is still alive deep inside the heart of many NRI's and as well as Punjabis. Their are no's of website which has pro Khalistan anti-national content. Recently i saw a post on facebook which had a slide show on Sikh History but actually it was full of stories of so called Martyrs of Khalistan Movement. And to my shock it was liked by many and shared by one of my Sikh friend.

its not like that ...social media never represent dominant ideology of one community....most of the information you guys get predominantly came from social media and not from ground .....khalistan was never a issue or demand for majority of sikhs.....
