Dear All,
Rather interesting topic but some very poor reasoning by those who are speaking ‘for the topic’ (That Paisa is everything), indicative of a paradigm shift in the societal thinking and behavior. May I also advice some of the unmarried members who think that ‘Money is Everything’, to be a bit discreet in making definitive statements! Paisa is everything – pher to dahej len mein Choori aalon ka bakkal taar dyoge…
In my view money can never take the place of genuine love and respect one has for one’s blood relations, whether they have money or not. How can you say that only those who have a lot of money respect each other? How can you be so forgetful? Forgot Ambani brothers! Itna paisa hone ke bavzood bhi na bantee. But those of you who consider money to be everything then there is no way you will be convinced by other’s arguments. But take my words my friends, at the end of the day what matters is what you have achieved in terms of genuine goodwill of people around you. I have seen enough younger brothers, who are very rich, seeking only love and affection from their elder brothers who are still very poor. Also JATS as a community are known to care two hoots for material things when it comes to ‘Bhaichara’.
On ‘Rakshabandhan’, a sister just wants to see her brother, rich or poor. One just longs for that one appreciative nod from an elder brother, not money, when it comes to ‘just being there’. A friend is a friend, money or no money.
Money is important, no doubt, but it can’t substitute emotional bonds that exist between friends, siblings and other blood relations. However, those who think otherwise, my advice would be to earn as much money as possible, by whatever means too because money is important, and then decide for yourself as to where do you stand.
Best regards,
JS Malik
