Yes, Jat needs to show some aggression instead to giving their explanation at every stage. How come its possible that other communities don't know about tradition and culture of one of the major community (at least in North part of India), and how can there dare to question and criticize our tradition

Are these Muslim Panchayats of Western UP actually KHAP Panchayats or is the media just being ignorant and/or vindictive and targeting/maligning the khaps?? Does the media actually understand the meaning of khaps?????

Tomorrow if some panchayat down south (South India) takes some drastic decision, would the media still call it a decision of the Khap panchayat? Has the word Khap become synonymous with every wrong/evil planned/perpetrated by the village elderly?

Is there any action taken by the ACTUAL khaps to disassociate with the Muslim panchayat and put things in perspective?

Yesterday Headlines today covered a speech,it was somewhere in UP,not sure in Bhagpat or somewhere else.There was a guy named Chaudhary who is a member of Jat aarakshan sangharh samiti.I could also see Yashpal Malik seeting there.So this guy took mike in his hand and he said,referring to this incident, that first of all WE don't care about religion,unka ibaadat ka tarika alag h aur humaara alag lekin ultimate thing is the same.So it doesn't matter to us.Secondly,we fully support what was decided in that panchayat and there was nothing wrong said in that panchayat and we strongly condemn media for projecting us as Talibans and our REQUESTS,which are not a binding on anyone,as talibani diktats.
Mobile phone ka kha to kya galat kha..ladkiyon ne ghar ka kaam karna,gobar thaana..isme mobile ki kya jarurat.Jis cheez ki jarurat nhi usse mna kar diya to kya galat keh diya.
Agar hume lgaa ki yeh jagah shi nhi h,wahan jaane se manaa kiya to kya galat kiya.Humaara samaaj h,hume apni behan betiyon ki chinta h.Unke liye accha socha to kya galat kiya.

Political support pours in for Baghpat village panchayat diktat on women​

LUCKNOW: After Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU), the Rashtriya Lok Dal and All India Jat Arakshan Samiti (AIJAS) have also come out in support the diktat of a panchayat at the Asra village in Baghpat. The diktat puts restrictions on the movement of girls and women. A meeting was held in the village and it was decided that a Mahapanchayat will be held on July 21 in which khap panchayats from other parts of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana will also be invited.RLD general secretary and Mathura MP Jayant Chaudhary reportedly visited the village on Saturday and later told reporters that the 'instructions' of the panchayat were 'suggestions' and not 'diktat'. Baghpat is parliamentary constituency of RLD chief and Chaudhary's father Ajit Singh, who is also union aviation minister in Congress led UPA government.On Wednesday, the panchayat in Asara village in Baghpat's Ramala area had issued instructions restricting movement of women and girls. The instructions included covering of head by women when ever they leave home, a complete ban on love marriages and those doing so would not be allowed to live in the village, no mobile phones for girls and only women above 40 years of age were allowed to venture out of house for work among other things.
Local residents claimed the panchayat had issued the directives after a consensus was reached on them by members several communities living in the village.On Friday, Samajwadi Party leader and minority affairs minister Azam Khan had said that he does not find anything wrong in a 'group of villagers expressing their opinion'. Khan's statement was also seen as 'appeasment' of Muslims and hardliners in west UP from where Azam comes.BKU president and chief of Baliyan khap panchayat Naresh Tikait had also supported the diktat of Asra village panchayat.On Saturday, AIJAS president Yashpal Malik, who also visited the village, told TOI "We endorse the decision taken by panchayat in Asra village and will ask all the panchayats in Uttar Pradesh and adjoining states to follow it. The decision in this regard will be taken at the Mahapanchayat to be held on July 21". He said that a section of media is painting khap panchayats in bad light.

"We are also oppose to dowry system and female foeticide but it is not being highlighted. Instead the decision we take for orderliness in the society in accordance with our traditions are dubbed as 'talibani',"he said. The decision taken by the panchayat in Asra was an 'advisory' and not a 'diktat', he added.

"The advisory also included restriction on boys from taking photograph of girls on mobile phone to check its misuse. Similarly, it restricted both men and women from using ear phones while walking or driving because it can lead to accident. Girls were asked not to visit a mela following complaints of eve-teasing. Boy found involved in eve-teasing were punished," he said.Further, Malik said "Girls and women were asked to cover head as per the tradition. Restriction of love marriage has been after boys and girls of 15-16 years age eloped. This is the age for education and not marriage. It was clearly stated in the instructions that those who don't want to follow can go elsewhere, hence panchayat did not impose anything on people. In India, one finds variety of customs and traditions. In south, a girl can be married to maternal uncle but here a boy and girl of a village are considered to be siblings because for us entire village is a family."Pointing out towards the proposed law of the central government on banning khap panchayats, he warned that such a move will force Jats to launch an massive agitation.The AIJAS is an umbrella body of various Jat associations which was formed to push the demand of granting Jats status of other backward class and subsequent benefit of reservation in central government services and educational institutions. Jat is a highly patriarchal ethnic group having presence in Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs of north India.​

Sometimes got puzzled when see two side by side two events, one good and one bad....about good no worry but about bad one don't know upto what extant Khaps are involved or its just the hype of media....but was very astonishing when saw unneccasry assertion to these incidents (if so) from our social leader and that too when these are taken by other religion people.

I do not understand as to why such blind/uneducated/unjustified/stupid directions came from panchayat, jats are not muslims, they are quite liberal, their ladies are quite strong, the community is strong, I donot think any body has courage to trouble our ladies. What ever the cause may be, this type of measures are no answer, in fact it will spoil the situation further. We must educate our ladies, trained them to defend themselves, men must ensure that our ladies are safe, give good sanskar to children. I am feeling ashamed to hear the news and being head of our khap, I am finding difficult to answer people, Bad, very bad.

This debate on gender Issue , Women Exploitation, Passing out Judgements regarding Women by Khaps or Religious Leaders ...dnt u think is just endless.....If I start writing here in favour of Females thn my frns over here will just start criticising me n will name me a blind n dumb Feminist .....
Lots of Threads have been started tym to tym here on JL ....these discussions pop out as soon as somthng comes in news ....but wats the use .....as atlast how much of the action is formulated by the words shared n discussions carried out . Our society is becoming numb .....Women exploitation is at its height .....we are into new development age of Technology , Gazzetes , Machine but I think the main change needed is to just transform the mentality of our People .
The recent case in Guhwati is a curse on our so called Socialized Human Society ....Where is the Sensitivity , Shame , Humanity ....n after having a full video recording still half of the victims are free .....Wasn't it was the moral duty of that Person to save the girl instead of recording the shameful act ......where were the Police that tym, how could People driving n moving on that road neglected n ignored such inciident .
Why every obligation n restriction on females only .....why not on Boys n Males .......Why for limiting the Eve teasing ....eves have to be limited with their Rights n freedom ?
Why dont the Rape Commiters feel shame instead of Rape victims ?

So many Policies n Schemes have been started regarding Upliftment of status in Females in India, Since late 90's Women Empowerment n welfare became the main agenda of Govt's. ...but of wat use .....How many of JL users themselves treat n mean Women equal... n by EQUAL - "I mean not by words" but by approach n behavioural treatment . I know there are some of Physical Limitaions where women cant be treated equal to Man but I think there is no mental n behavioural limitation regarding the Equal treatment ......Sry for being lil rustic but am nt being offensive its truth of our Indian Paternal Society .

भिवानी। अखिल भारतीय जाट आरक्षण संघर्ष समिति के प्रदेशाध्यक्ष पूर्व कमांडेंट हवासिंह सांगवान ने पत्रकारों से बातचीत करते हुए बताया कि उत्तरप्रदेश के बागपत जिले के गांव आसरा में पंचायत ने जो फतवे पारित किये, वे निंदनीय हैं, क्योंकि इस प्रकार के नियम समाज पर थोपने पर समाज को 19वीं शताब्दी में ले जाने का कुप्रयास होगा। जबकि समाज को 21वीं सदी में ले जाने का प्रयास होना चाहिए। जाट आरक्षण संघर्ष समिति की ओर से जिसने भी इन फरमानों का समर्थन किया है, हमारी संघर्ष समिति इस पर कड़ी आपत्ति जताती है। उत्तरप्रदेश सरकार की यह जिम्मेवारी है कि समाज पर इस प्रकार के अवांछनीय नियमों को न लादा जाए, जो सरासर राष्ट्रविरोधी हैं। इसी प्रकार कुछ दिन पहले एक पंचायत ने लड़कियों का पुश्तैनी जमीन पर अधिकार न होने की बात कही थी, जिसे फिर वापिस ले लिया गया था। इसी प्रकार के फरमानों से खापों और पंचायतों की प्रतिष्ठा को कड़ी आंच आती है। सांगवान ने आगे कहा कि बीबीपुर में कन्या भ्रूण हत्या के विरोध में जो पंचायत हुई, उसका हम केवल समर्थन ही नहीं करते, बल्कि सहयोग भी करेंगे। हमारे आरक्षण के प्रचार अभियान के दौरान हम कन्या भ्रूण हत्या के विरोध में प्रचार करते आए हैं कि भ्रूण हत्या के कारण जाट समाज के युवाओं को आज दूर के प्रदेशों से, यहां तक कि बंगाल और त्रिपुरा तक अपना वंश चलाने के लिए वधु खरीदकर लानी पड़ रही हैं, जिसका दुष्प्रभाव स्पष्ट तौर पर जाट कौम की आने वाली नस्लों पर पड़ रहा है। इसके लिए कन्या भ्रूण हत्या जिम्मेदार है। हरियाणा के लगभग हर गांव में ऐसी खरीदी हुई वधुएं आ चुकी हैं। इसलिए जाटों को आरक्षण मिलने के बाद हमारा संगठन इसी उद्देश्य के लिए भी कार्य करेगा। केवल एक पंचायत करने से समस्या का हल होने वाला नहीं है, इसके लिए गांव-गांव जाकर प्रचार करना होगा।

Lots of Threads have been started tym to tym here on JL ....these discussions pop out as soon as somthng comes in news ....but wats the use .....as atlast how much of the action is formulated by the words shared n discussions carried out . Our society is becoming numb .....Women exploitation is at its height .....we are into new development age of Technology , Gazzetes , Machine but I think the main change needed is to just transform the mentality of our People .
The recent case in Guhwati is a curse on our so called Socialized Human Society ....Where is the Sensitivity , Shame , Humanity ....n after having a full video recording still half of the victims are free .....Wasn't it was the moral duty of that Person to save the girl instead of recording the shameful act ......where were the Police that tym, how could People driving n moving on that road neglected n ignored such inciident .
Why every obligation n restriction on females only .....why not on Boys n Males .......Why for limiting the Eve teasing ....eves have to be limited with their Rights n freedom ?
Why dont the Rape Commiters feel shame instead of Rape victims ?
Why only Female Foeticide is the reason to be discussed why not the Male Foeticide ?
Where stands the Law Of Equality ?
So many Policies n Schemes have been started regarding Upliftment of status in Females in India, Since late 90's Women Empowerment n welfare became the main agenda of Govt's. ...but of wat use .....How many of JL users themselves treat n mean Women equal... n by EQUAL - "I mean not by words" but by approach n behavioural treatment . I know there are some of Physical Limitaions where women cant be treated equal to Man but I think there is no mental n behavioural limitation regarding the Equal treatment ......Sry for being lil rustic but am nt being offensive its truth of our Indian Paternal Society .
Discussion is endless .......n Loads of Reformation is needed .....as Swami Dayanand had said "That Country and that Nation which does not respect Women will never become great now and nor will ever in future" . !!!

aapki supreme court ki baat ko poori karta hoon....us verdict se aapko darne ki koi jaroorat nahin.....kyonki jab tak is desh mein Khaapon se doosre jo khede-dere-math-masjid hain tab tak aap ja ke us petition ko kabhi bhi supreme court mein challenge kar sakti hain....ki Khap agar illigal hain to Mandir-Masjid-Gurudwaaron konse legal hain....ja ke poochho court se ki ek to aisa sangthan batao jisko main join karun aur usme samajik kamiyan na ho......ya to mere ko koi aisa sangthan de de jo in samajik-trutiyon se rikt ho warna meri Khaapon ke khilaaf ye ud-julool byaan aur verdict dene band hon....aap aisa bol sakti hai wahaan......aur is pressure mein supreme court to kyaa.....UNO tak bhi aapke saath khada hoga.....yaad kijiye UNO ke us 1992 ke rule-out ko jisme kaha gaya hai ki kisi bhi desh ki jaati-kabile ke reeti-rivaajon aur samajik sangthano ko bacha ke sahej ke rakhna us desh ki sarkaaron aur kanoonon ki pahli prathmikta rahegi......isliye aise faisle tab tak laagu nahin ho sakte jab tak is desh mein Khap ke alava ek bhi doosra aisa hi similar sangthan khada hai....

ab waqt aaya hai in sharati tatvon se kanooni tour pe nibtane ka...jo ek particular group (Khap here) ko courts mein kheench ke asvendhanik karaar karwa dete hain.....aur ye wahi log hote hain jinke dharm-deron mein sabse jyada asvendhanik kukarm hote hain.......for example: harijan-dalit kaun hai.....aaj tak bhi aur puraane jamaane mein to tha hi .....ja ke dekhiye south aur east side ke temple mein wahaan dev-daasiyan rakhi jaati thi......aur unka kaam hota tha hari ki seav-pooja karna....aur hari kaun....pandit, mandir ka pujaari....aur pujaari ki pooja mein unki sharir ki jaroorten poori karna bhi hota tha.....aur un sharir ki jaroorat poori karne ke liye un hari logon ne in daasiyon ko jo santaanen di wo hi "Harijan" kahalaai.....halanki apne uttar-bharat ki kyaa kahaani hai ye mujhe pata nahin......to batao sabse asvendhanik kaun hua....kam se kam hamaari Khaapon waale ye gorakh-kukrm to nahin karte....aur wo bhi khuleaam mandir banwa ke unme baith ke?

Aur Khap bahut jyada loktanrik hain iska udaaharan “Bibipur” ki mahachayat se aap ne dekh bhi liya hoga.....ki koi na nukar nahin aur chupchap maatr ek bulaave pe samajik kalyaan ke hit mein kaise ek chabootre par 100 se jayada Khap pardhaan doude chale aaye.....

Hamara rona yahi hai ki kisi bhi Jat ne Jaati ke ooper koi apne aham ko na samjhe aur samjhe to usko control karne ko aisi koi sanstha hi nahin banai....jaise ki Akaal-takht ko hi le lo kyaa baadal aur kyaa amrinder ya aur koi sikh sangthan.....kisi ka vajood ya aham akaal takht se bada nahin.....lekin inmen kuchh kamiyaan bhi hain jo Jat achche se jaante bhi hain aur apne aise sangthan banaayen to un kamiyon ko door bhi rakhna wo kar sakte hain lekin karte hi nahin...otherwise kisi bhi andolan chaahe wo reservation ka ho ya Jaaton ki bhalai ka koi aur aandolan inpe aisa koi chabuk chala ke inko ek saath chalaane wala jab tak koi nahin hoga tab tak ye belgaam ghodon ki tarah idhar-udhar bhatekenge...jaise ki aaj Jat reservation aandolan ka ho raha hai...koi idhar ja raha hai koi udhar....apne aham ke aage Jaat jaati ke samman aur aandolan ke uddesy ki bali chade to chadti rahe.....kuchh nahin hone wala....aur kuchh hoga to wo bahuta ro-peet ke kheench-taan karke.....and it shows ki hum jitne achche initiators and utne achche ender nahin.....JAt aandolan jab shuru mein chala tha to kyaa gajab chala tha but ab itna bant chuka hai ki shayad hi ye log ek chabutre pe ek saath ho saken....aur yahin se mujhe feel hota hai ki Akaal-takht ya aise hi anay samajik body hoti to in sab ko ek saath baitha...ek line pe baandh ke rakhti aur Aarkshan ab tak mil bhi chuka hota....
