The govt has banned the film, further sensitizing the issue... you biggest retards in the govt, whom are you fooling? (sic). Let the whole world know that we the Indians are the biggest hypocrites on the planet earth.

Let's have a Nirbhaya protest every year, when conventional social media will become full of competitive victim hood... a kind of Muharram for this never ending "
हाय तौबा". Economy, Defence, Healthcare, Swine Flu, Farmer Suicides, Terrorism, all doesn't matter. Outrage fortnight is here !

... My view's

Does this subject need any discussion or d'you think it's just waste of time? I mean... हाड़े त न्यू ही चालै

I have not seen the documentary but there was ban on publication of the name of the victim including pictures and other documents which can identify the individuals. This is blatantly violations of Court Orders and government of India needs to file an hefty claim against BBC for identifying the victim. There was no harm in airing the documentary if the victim would not have been identified.

I overheard about the documentary some where and did not get into further. There is no SoPs in practice media and news channels have become views channels ..... so the local media picks the issue on daily basis, hype them for while and forget it next day...This incident has given an opportunity to govt to take a firm stand on the "functioning of media" and stop the non-sense misuse of freedom. The rule of land must be implemented firmly. Either BBC must be banned /fined in India and asked to shut there office in India or view channel should be warned to sensationalizing the matter. If it happens once, then we can see the sea-tide shift in media's approach.........

I have watched the Documentary! There is nothing wrong in showing it! Rather it shows the deep rooted **** in the minds of people and misrepresentation of of Indian culture and so called values! People talk about the misuse of the freedom of expression on the part of the media and the documentary maker! How about the defense lawyers, a bunch of sick jokers! They should be debarred and licenses to practice law should be cancelled! family of the victim has no issue on disclosing the identity! From the very beginning they have been openly speaking to media! When victim is not alive, parents and family openly speaking then what business the govt has to ban the documentary!

Mr. Deshwal, If there is an Order for confidentiality of information then a person needs to bring the motion for disclosure of information and stop further implementation of order. The family members have no authority to release the information now on their own. This is a clear contempt of court.

yahi to trashdi hai Gulia ji, the courts have authority but no sensitivity! how does it matter if jyoti is raped or Nirbhaya is raped!
These are merely words identity, disclosure, information! Did you watch or hear the defence lawyers ! You are talking like a typical lawyer! Those defence lawyers, if i i meet them I will , i can't even tell what i will do ...a rod or what ever... Chhee ...you are are also very insensitive person but a qualified lawyer!
Not only that they fed their product of sick mentality to their client as well!

The documentary shows the sick mentality of not only the rapist but the so so called intellectuals, the lawyers who meant to be doing their Karma!
Shame shame and more shame!

Did the the court take cognisance on what the defence lawyers said in front of media?

Courts have sensitivity, it is the reasons that all convicts were awarded death sentence and confidentiality Order was issued to maintain the privacy of the victim and her family. Lot of people have sick mentality in this world, I do not know what the defence lawyers have argued in the documentary. If they have shown no remorse to the incident and gave indecent or derogatory remarks then they are subject to the discipline of their law society. This can be brought by the public before the law society or the law society can take cognizance of itself.

some valid points made above in the responses.

deshwal ji, all you tube links work in this part of the world as well. i do hope that the link posted above should work in india. it makes better sense if further comments are posted after watching the documentary.

Tough I hv not seen it, but got to know of it thru social media. I don't see anything new in it. We all know which society we live in and how are things around. 100 such documentaries won't do either. We have a law, but there is no implementation, I wud say the rapist murdered in an eastern state has got the right treatment. 100-200 execution nhi honge tab tak batien hongi, rosh vyakt hoga Baaki kuch na Badle. Ye incredible India hai.

please watch the documentary !

apart from the biggest hypocrites, we are also the masters of making knee jerk reactions as was apparent from the replies from the guardians of morality who haven’t yet seen the documentary but will shout at top of their lungs to make their assertion. there lies a big difference in judging well and being judgmental, the latter being the case in most of the situations. we blame media on their way of reporting, but then we won’t mind making our opinions based on their reporting without taking cognizance of the facts... please watch the documentary.

Documentary is absolutely Targetting the Mind Set of People ......

Statement of some guy who stated there were 30 people but none helped ......

It is anti india - for sure , guilty ones were shown as victims of bad upbringing . Educated Lawyers stating - women.....blah blah

I do not get the objective of this Doc.....only objective I see " Indian Mind Set - so far low irrespective of whatever women has achieved ...she would always be treated like %^$$^%$&^#$" .....

Also I find interviews are fabricated as well.....that frnd Satendar ....seems like reading a script ......also accused ...at some point father of victim as well

Only my opinion -------

to add further... use of outrage works from feeding social unrest, leading to chaos, intending downfall of the government is a favorite foreign Intelligence agency wet dream.
