hahaha..that I concur...khaaskar ladkiyaan jab maach k pretend karti hain ki unhey to bas shudh hindi aati hai

but well, all are not from haryana..so jabardasti thodi keh saktey hain ki Jat hain to Haryana se HI hongey!

Aapka domicile te maan liya dilli se. par is 'Thread Author' ka ke karaaaa??? ya baat to is Rekha pe apply hove se, sonipat ki hoke location likhe dilli ki :tamatar :D

This happens so many times to me whenever i go to some new place. When i joined B. Tech, as college was in Haryana and maximum students were haryanvi, People used to asked: Are you a JAT? When I replied: yes, then they used to say you does not look like a JAT(ke karun bahgawan jama dara singh ki body de rahkiya sae:D:D:D)

After my B.Tech., when I went out for job and further studies. There people start asking from where are you? As i answered their question, i got the immediate reaction you doesnot look like from haryana. Even once my guide, who is from Chennai, said You does not look like a Haryana guy. Haryana guys are normally strong and you are.......(same reason as it was in my BTech time).

Eb haryana main ke are phelawan hove hai...................mera jisa bhi bhot hai.......................:):)

3) People and their accent

An accent which is known for its roughness but believe me these people are really kind at heart. They will do anything to make u feel comfortable except speaking politely.

Rightly said...... people from Haryana specially JAT are not soft spoken but very good at heart...




6) Dogs on street

Till a few years back, one could not dare to wear a jeans and go to a village because dogs would find you alien and chase you till end of village after which you are in boundary of another village with dogs waiting there too!. But last heard, dogs have started realizing the fashion trends.

Many more things about Haryana, come to my mind every now and then although I have been in Delhi since I was seven......Well nobody is from Delhi, Right!!!!!

It's really a good topic to discuss. Usually people from same state talk with each other in their local language whether they belongs to north region like Punjab or from southern states . But people from Haryana, used hindi or English. Even some people are reluctant in telling that they belongs to Haryana. Many people says they belong to Delhi. These things more common in girls. Anybody, Please don't take last point personally. It's truth. People don't use haryanvi because they take haryanvi language as a symbol of backwardness.

Being Haryanvi!!



I disappoint a lot many people, by telling them that I am a Haryanvi. I don't have that typical Haryanvi physique which they expect from typical Haryana Boy. So sometime back I gave up on telling that I am from Haryana and would say that I am from Delhi (practically thats true too as I have been in Delhi since I was seven. But than that day this episode happened on a crowded Delhi Transport corporation bus. This guy, who must have been 40 plus was shooting questions at me like a quiz show host...Here's how it went..

"Miss Hilarious" :D......m telling the truth n the experiences which I collected while travelling alone, especially to Rohtak (jahan ke logon ka naam badnaam hai.....hehehe;)...aisa main nahin log bolte hain)...with parents I never have to deal with haryanvi people but always bow down to greet them n get the blessings.

Kabhi to mere bhateeje ki baat sach maan liya karo aap......:)
 
I've a habit to speak out my surname also alongwith name. Best way to start ur intro. But at some places people didn't liked it and asked me not to use Choudhary after my name.....they said...."tujhe choudhary hone ka jyada ghamand nahin hai".....as they never use their surnames after their name......n I simply smiled as for few questions it is not always necessary to answer everybody.

Now when people recognise me as a Jat, they stop...wait....n talk to me a lot and don't know how many came in my contacts.....even people praised a lot about Jats who are from haryana especially...though from different communities....So, this again makes me happy.

Rest, I don't get down into their hearts to search out the exact feelings/respect. I m just similar, the way other person behaves with me. :)
