Last Sunday "Times Of India", the perceptions of particular characteristics of diferent communities of India were discussed and our community was branded as:-

Jats-All Brawn,no brains,foul mouthed and aggressive

It also hurts to watch the movies where jats are never portrayed as good characters,always shown non-sensely behaving.

i also read the article tht u mentioned here....

n sad to say but i actually had the same view pt for quite some time n do hav it til now....

u know the main reason y i feel this happens is coz jat guys lack chivalry n their excuse for this simple thing is.... "hum jat hein, humse nahin hote yeh natak "....

this is my personal opinion on it n the reason y i dun think too highly of jats.....but i stil feel it is one of the main reasons.........
 
You don't have to read The Times Of India to know about the particular charcateristics of Jats. Just go through some hot threads on Jatland for few days and you will get all the database to conclude anything and everything.:cool:
 
I have no different views. It is more to do with too much of unnecessary obsession with Jat-ism. Every now and then we ourselves generalize by saying things like "Jats are always ahead".... Jat this Jats that... I am afraid many of us don't seem to absorb any other humanistic value but proclaim every next sentence with "... because I am Jat, period!" As for me, I am slightly dysphoric but mostly unperturbed by such remarks in print.

I think its high time a 'Jat' comedian comes up in every second Bollywood movie that releases. The associated accent and the flair should (and I guess, definitely would) make people roll on the floor with laughter. And who knows... I might get a job:p!

No I do not agree. Even most of the great Bolywood Characters are very close to a typical Jat.

Mother India - Sunil Dutt
Ram aur Shyam - Dilip Sahab
Ganga Jamuna - Dilip Sahab
Shaheed, Upkaar - Manoj Kumar
Adalat,Deewar, Zanjeer - Big B
(these are a few)

What other cast apart from Jat you can imagine close to these great Characters ( and I don't think any body can hate them). All these Characters are using their Heart to think not their brains same like Jats.

In the beginning of 19th century, many european writers written to define a perfect man - the characteristics of a ideal human being. Fyodor Dostoyvsky written "The Idiot" and created a character "Prince Mishkin" as a perfect man - always thinking with his heart.
 
Aur wo blood type wala thread reached a dead end....partly because of this hallmark ...(I know I know there were deeper reasons than this).

DND sir, wahi to main bhee keh rahi thee..there is no connection, ye conclusion tha unka. Anyway, nice to know your blood type, you can make yourself even more useful ..:)
 
well jats are aggressive and we should be.....hum kaise bhi ho par its ridiculous to read such crap in a newspaper which is being circulated nationwide....they actually need to apologize for such act.....well we dont really oppose it and thts d reason ppl take us for granted....hum itne bhi bure nai hai jitna newpapers walo ne taarif ki hai:D

TOI is the crappiest paper out of all the national dailies.

They write the fluffiest and most irrelevant articles. They can never get their spellings and grammar right.

The whole paper is like that show GIRL TALK on MTV.

Can the thread starter please provide a link? For all we know, she may be yanking our chain.

Sad and bad really bad Jats its the same community who fight for the country so that other people can sleep tension free and always fought like heros. But these news paper never take a pain to write some thing positive and real about us. They just put crap which other people love to see.
Ok fine Jats are aggressive correct but that's how we have been from decades.
Now Jats are steping and steping hard in many other fields like Sports, studies every where we can find our brother and sisters.

These News Papers are always intrested in Masala News because people are more intrested in reading these type of news.
And why to blame people we can see here on JL i m just attaching the link below kindly see the real Jats and you can see that this thread has how many replies and views on the other masala threads get 100's of replies and 2000-3000 of veiws. So if we people r not intrested why these news paper should publish real pictures of Jats.

This is not expected from a newspaper like TOI
the comments are really annoying
now we have three options that we can do(in my opinion)
1. go for court case against TOI
2. Fill many pages of this thread and divert from topic and start abusing each other so that no one can understand what we are discussing about and prove TOI is right.
3 change Newspaper(Gandhi's path) and ask everyone in your circle to do the same.
This thread is open for opinion these are my views.
Please give your opinion on topic not members

100% correct bhai i was thinking about 1st option not exactly same but some thing like 1st one.
Rekha or Bhavna can you please paste the link of the article as i tried but not able to find it.
 
Who says Jats are not brainy!! Why go anywhere else... take example of our own Nitin Dahiya bhai... He was goldmedalist in IIT and IIMA.... what better proof they want??

And if you say exceptions are always there, then ask them to visit section of Young Jat Achievers list which Burdak ji and others have compiled... our folks are everywhere.

It would be like patting my own back...but let me tell, I was also University Gold Medalist in my B Tech and never let anyone cross my position in 4 years of my Btech. Repeated the same in MS.

Liked the suggestion given by Rakesh --- Change TOI and yes..change they way you think about Jats and yourself !!

Aggression is a good attribute in my viewpoint, but aren't we ourselves responsible for other downgrading traits that are mentioned in there??

You can take an example by how few people don't accept sound reasoning and argue without having a valid point. So even though its not entirely rightfully put in TOI we ourselves can also be blamed to an extent for such articles.
 
i am actually quite surprised by the responses in this thread.....mujhe to laga tha mere reply ke baad mujhe kafi negative comments milne wale hein :D...


sirf degree ya medals lene se intelligence nahin aati...when u meet someone for the first time...they dunno how highly educated u r...n u dun start defining ur degrees to them....first impression is formned by the way u talk to them.....

theek hai casual circles mein apni native tongue chalti hai...but i hav seen jats using the same tongue in formal circles too...humein pata hai ki boli aisi hai n tht v r not rude....lekin jo sun raha hai usse to nahin pata na ...woh to yahi samjhega ki bolne ki tameez bhi nahin......

n nishant i am trying to find the article online....but not able to find it til now....

it was in the sunday edition of times of india....see if u can find the newspaper wit ne of ur frends...

Ok bhavo waise mere ghar paar bhi TOI aata hai i will check today.
Aur bhavo bat sahe hai but kuch loogo ke wajaha se sab ko same treat naahe kaarna chahaye aaagar galat likhte hain ye newspaper waali to accha bhi likhna chahaye loogo ne 1 preseption baana liya hai bas ussko hee follow kaarte hai jaise ke Baniya Kanjoss hoote hain. Baaki maine jo link attach kiya tha woh kyo naahe publish kaarte ye loog.
Bhavo Sab cheej dheere dheere change hoote hai 1 din me kuch naahe hoota. Hope u understand. Jats itne bhi buure nahe hai yaar :)
