I have found out 1 thing about myself. I don't like to work for others. I am uncomfortable taking orders from others. Somehow I feel like a servant working for someone else. Right now I study/work in an University but in the future when I go into the real world, I would like to work for myself.
What are some of the practical business ideas regarding self employment.
I know a variety of factors go into here but I am looking just for general ideas here. Could someone in USA who work for themselves reply? Bahut Bahut dhanyawaad.
 
Bhai I am not In US so cannt really help you but eik baat kehna chahunga which I have learnt from my experience that one has to be a succesful employee to be a good employer.

Most of the big shots you will see worked for someone before they went on to start their own gig, so my advise is go n work for someone before you enter the business world.You will learn a lot of basic stuff which is not included in the books.

But at the end of the day it's your call.

I agree with Deep. Noone likes to take orders but starting out on your own is not easy. Work for someone else for couple of years, understand how business works, the problems, the risks etc etc. Consider that as your business training rather than a job.

People I know who did this had family businesses and that is different ball game altogether.

Do your research, planning and talk to people.

There has been number of dicussions in this forum abt this and i had posted a number of usefull links. Pls go through them. The longest one was one started by Dr Birbal ji. A lot of us showed great enthusiasm in it. I dont know how many took the next step. I have started on an idea abt a couple of months back and hope it works. Even if does not i will be happy that i learned a lot. I will consider it as my Phd in business.

if this is the reason for being an entreprenaur, u r in for a big disappointment...u will always be taking orders from someone...in business its your customers who r ur ultimate boss...investors and emplyees come next. u will work for 24 hrs with no gaurantee of returns.
Be in business for the right reasons...

Starting a new business while not from business family is a uphill task.I do discourage my friends,being a self starter but i know feeling of a servant working for someone else is a plastic worm that is not going to vanish.
Pl decide what you want/can do-
A)Manufacturing
B)Trading
C)Service providers industries
It is a combination of experience with the employer,finance,planning,patience and innovation that can make a enterpreneur.Pl send your field of interest so that i can send business ideas,probabily that will work in USA.
Also i request fellow members to float their business innovative ideas and project reports that can be discussed and useful for our community.

Having an expertise while working in the Job market ....i may suggest you something real rewarding as well as worthwhile ....I am working for Naukri.com here in chandigarh for a while now ………….

I have liaison with most of the searing firms in the job market and to suggest a business idea, i am sure opening a Placement consultancy is great in itself....no work pressures ...Would positively start up smthing like this myself veri soon....if u need any help in getting the contact deatlis of the various recruiters surely get in touch with me .... will try my level best to help you out....!!

Repeat these lines for an hour everyday in front of a temple n ull becom rich in veri few dayz .... jus like me......n work pressure at all..."BHAGWAN KE NAAM PE KUCH DE DE BABA"
