C for Congress, C for Corruption, C for Communalism and C for Crime

B congress ka tarika bilkul bhi democratic nai hota... congress mai internally to dynastic rule hai or desh mai jugad-baji wala system... democratic to bilkul nahi hai...

That family is accepted by India everytime who votes them in power.

Your so called BJP is democratic? Who had heard of Gadkari before he became president?

Deepender hooda 'congress mein kuch to baat hogi jo baar baar sarkar banati hai'in reply to Sushma swaraj's question 'congress has ruled 52 years and what it has given' to nation

Hypocrisy at its best by SP/BSP

SP/BST were against FDI from start but always supporting govt, understood. Question is why they abstained from voting when it was not vote against govt. In the world of right and wrong we can not be neutral.

i'm not able to understand whether they are against FDI or support FDI. If they abstained, it means thye support govt move on FDI which is good thing but on other hand outside parliament they are shouting we are against FDI. ebb ye kaise against huye , kisik samajh aaye to batana.

Rinku, if you dig further, you will find more examples of hypocrisy in this FDI issue.

We all know the Akali Dal - BJP that have ruled Punjab for 10 out of the previous 15 years, are opposing FDI in retail. But here's a quick quiz for you -

Where does Pepsico buy the largest amount of potatoes from?
Where has Pepsico set up its potato seed facility?
Where does Bharti and Wal-Mart have the biggest operations, i.e buying directly from farmers and selling wholesale?

The answer is Punjab!

When the FDI debate began about an year back, Akali Dal initially favored it. I distinctly remember this since Manpreet Badal, Sukhbir's estranged counsin, had aligned with the CPI and he opposed FDI. I remember Sukhbir saying how Punjab farmers have benefited from foreign food companies and he favors further involvement in retail operations.

But now under BJP pressure, it reversed its previous stand and opposed FDI. Politics and hypocrisy again, no?

"Looks like for some, the only proof of a functioning democracy will be when the BJP comes to power!"

May be I have interpreted in other way n u meant in other way .

Reason why many people in favour of BJP coz after Congress this is the 2nd large national party . We need change , I m sure we all agree on same . We have given ample amount of time to congress , now we should give fair chance to BJP as well .
India is a democratic party n will always be-----we are the decision makers . If that would have not been the case then these politicians would not be spending so much of money to allure the voters .
I remember some rural background lady of UP was saying " Humei toh Rahul Bhaiya pasand hai , woh humare ghar bhi aaye ----lekin humne vote Mulayam ji ko diya " -----on victory of SP in UP elections .
So " Hum jab chahe kissi ko bana sakte hai , n jab chahe mita sakte hai "-----that is what Democracy ---power remains with the people

Rekha, the comment was about people here with one sided views, who condemn everything by the govt. as undemocratic. When if you have been following politics for long, you will realize that every govt. and party has used the same tactics. The tactics and dealings remain the same. Just the faces in govt. and opposition change every 5 or 10 years.

And I get the frustration with the current regime. But can you honestly evaluate and say if the BJP or its alliance, the NDA is a better option? I am talking of stands on policies and issues here. Apart from dynastic politics at the national level, is there substantial difference between the two parties? Even BJP and its allies have dynastic politics at the state level. And on issues, the political system is such that, the government proposes and the opposition opposes, even when the opposition is the brainchild of a proposal. FDI, Indo-US nuclear deal. These are all examples of initiatives first begun under the NDA regime. yet the BJP opposed it. So how do you know BJP is a better option? The thing is, every regime loses its sheen after a few years as people get tired of it and want change. Its called the anti-incumbency factor. Doesn't mean the opposition is any better.

And further, the same fellow countrymen have been voting for the last 60 years. That includes our generation as well as two previous ones. Does it mean they were all fools to vote the same party back to power again and again. Surely as they say, fool me once shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me!

Finally BSP does away with the cloak and comes out openly in the support of its Savior - Congress.

It is being said with certainty that BSP would vote in favour of FDI in retail tomorrow in the RS. So much and so long for all the showtime on the streets (street protests against FDI in retail) by the BSP.

Maya's open support has made Mulayam redundant in the scheme of things for Congress at least as far as FDI is concerned.

This all goes on to prove one thing - Congress is a champion in what it has been doing for the last more than 65 years it has been in (>55 years) and out of power - MANIPULATION.

I kinda agree with the points you have mentioned . Politics is a dirty game : koyli ki dalali mei mooh kala toh hoga hi .

Thanks for making it clear-----what was ur comment about ----as I mentioned , I may have interpreted wrong .

Now I may need your help on some thing mentioned below :

"But can you honestly evaluate and say if the BJP or its alliance, the NDA is a better option"
Honestly - Yes , we have no other option . May be 3rd front with SP and other regional parties which I am sure would be worse than BJP alliance .

"dynastic politics at the state level."
I am not much into politics , but BJP ideology is not to promote family politics . Else Adwani , Sushma n many other kids would have been part of politics like in Congress. For BJP , all I recall Varun , Lt. Mahajan daughter and some HP guy ( do not know the name ) -----I have not seen them making any political statement . Unlike Congress or SP for BJP politics could be anything but not family business . N that is the biggest drawback as well in some sense , as BJP has no Young Face .

"opposition opposes, even when the opposition is the brainchild of a proposal. FDI, Indo-US nuclear deal."
For Indo-US deal ----no comments , as I am not aware of same . However fro FDI - In agreement BJP alliance has proposed same and opposing it . WHY?
The share offered by BJP alliance was 21% for foreign investors and Congress has given 51% . That is why no one was interested back then coz of 21% and that is why now whole global market is interested in investing in India----51% share----" Malik woh , naukar hum apne hi desh mei "

" The thing is, every regime loses its sheen after a few years as people get tired of it and want change. Its called the anti-incumbency factor."
Hmmmm- may be u r right , but I do not agree , Running a country is not some Fashion Statement or some style which would loose its sheen "

Doesn't mean the opposition is any better-------Absolutely in agreement .

"
That includes our generation as well as two previous ones. Does it mean they were all fools to vote the same party back to power again and again."
Thats the only part which I can not understand . Even after emergency if we are still choosing same party over n over again , I m so sure either we owe them something or yes we are not worthy of voting .
Very simple We are the one who Vote , We are the one who elects , Its We n We . Then why are we discussing same over n over , in every new channel , every news paper , forums , in groups . Whenever some scam get highlighted why a politician in question -----Let all VOTERS (we) be QUESTIONED - As we also partner in same crime .

PS : Me n u all are on same side -want best for our country . So I guess we should try every possible way to make things better . I care damn
" chahe kal Kejriwla ko PM bana do "

Dear Rekha,

It seems you are not much aware about topic that you claim to be aware of.

B Y Raghavendra, son of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa; Shivakumar Udasi, son of C M Udasi; Shantamma, sister of state minister Sriramulu; Ramesh Katti, Brother of Umesh Katti were given ticket to contest in lokasabha polls. Varun Gandhi is son of Maneka Gandhi. Ranjan Bhattacharya, son in law's connections with PMO are well known when BJP was in power.

I dont even want to go to BJPs allies, Shiv Sena, Akali dal and rest, you know the story.

For FDI- you got your fact wrong again, BJP was rooting for 100% FDI in multi brand retail. Read http://in.news.yahoo.com/bjp-misleading-nation-fdi-retail-lalu-112519373.html

Gujarat infact is the biggest potato supplier to McD.

Dear Vikas ,

You may be right , I am not much into news or politics . Still you have around 7 names in BJP who are making politics as family business . If we look at congress there would 7 political families which are not making it as political business in which their children opted some other career instead of politics. Again why to argue , their n their children personal life -jane de yar

"For FDI- you got your fact wrong again, BJP was rooting for 100% FDI in multi brand retail."
Hmmmm , in some article it is mentioned Congress was against of same back then and now in favor of same , again we can give Congress benefit of doubt here -----as situations changed now .
I have very high regards for Dr. Singh as economist -who himself stated back then FDI in Retail would be of no good to India ----anyhow leave he was economist then and PM now .

A Headlines Today report states the National Democratic Alliance of which BJP is the major constituent, in 2002 proposed 100 per cent FDI in retail in 2002.
But in 2004, the BJP and its allies promised to allow 26 per cent FDI in the retail sector.
It was reported across media including Firstpost that the BJP’s election manifesto and vision statement for 2004 had supported 26 percent FDI in retail.

Please understand it is all google ------I was not a part of BJP then n now n will never be.

Off Topic FDI : I am against of same and will be . As many claimed it is good for agriculture , if same would be proven in coming years I would delighted to change my opinion : Guilty as charged .

And one more thing "It seems you are not much aware about topic that you claim to be aware of"
:) - no comments

Point I made was no one is different. I am not against dynasty politics as even sons and daughters have to go through elections to make their way and public decides their fortune. For instance, Deepender Hooda won by record margin, while his name might have influenced voters fact is people elected him.

You are also against just cause you want to be against it cause I did not see you citing any supporting reasons besides gulam-malik theory which is absurd. You work in a MNC right? Are you against Indian MNCs going global and controlling businesses as well?

Also, see this: http://www.ndtv.com/video/player/news/video-story/257374?video-justadded

Friends,

The issue of FDI in retail is now reality after passage of bill in both the houses of Parliament. Let us talk on it when the positive and negative effects of the FDI emerge after a gap of reasonable time.

Thanks

I am pleased that the government decided to take vote for an executive decision unlike the BJP whose every policy decision was an executive decision and the then opposition did not oppose anything such just for the sake of it.

An healthy and constructive criticism by opposition parties of the actions/policies of the ruling party is the real essence and necessity of a successful democracy.

Agreed sir, but the discussion was neither healthy nor constructive. Debates were presented with wrong information and on a topic that I believe did not need such broad attention.

An healthy and constructive criticism by opposition parties of the actions/policies of the ruling party is the real essence and necessity of a successful democracy.

For Democracy to grow it is very important to have a strong opposition but in our case we neither have strong opposition nor strong government. If govt was strong they would have gone for vote on day 1 on FDI but they waited to buy/convince/pressurize SP/BSP to abstain and then went ahead. People voted SP/BSP to put there point in parliament not to abstain from it. But as I said earlier ye sab khel satta aur raj ka hai.
