Dear Friends,

There are cradles where leaders get created. We all know how JNU has been creating many successful communist leaders. Many of our great freedom struggle leaders were created right in the country ruling us at that time. Jatland is visited by a large number of Jat intellectuals. Isn't it a perfect forum to create community leaders who can steer the community towards right path? What is stopping us from doing so? Are we just going to remain a gossip forum where members come just for time pass and winning arguments?

Please think over seriously as in this fast moving world there is no regard for loosers.

If Not So Called Leaders

Rajendra ji, if not leaders[aajkal sab leader hein] atleast a few mature, understanding and movers can be created for sure and i am more than confident that even the most stupid discussions out here are giving variety to learning; atleast to those whose sole aim is to learn more and more. Cheers and let us debate the point raised.

Rajender ji
well thought out thread.I am a strong believer of the fact that leaders are born with the qualities to lead masses and they are not made to do so that is the reason why the leaders who are forced onto the masses fail to stay long enough to make an impact. How true u are in describing about the JNU as training ground of communist leaders.I agree with u that leaders need to give fine touch to their abilities and that is very well done at places like JNU.

regarding this online home for jats we certainly has the potential and the quality in the members here.We need will to actually take up the challenge in this fight against these so called sterotype polititians.one of us has already made a beginning in the field.Mr deepender Hooda has turned into full fledged polititian.Although he has better qualifications to be so then only the member of this forum but nevertheless his presence after becoming MP on this forum shows that this place has something which can develop potential leaders into great leaders.
Lets take this discussion in right direction the see where we land.
I too saw one of us openly came out with the will to take up these polititians.
good going sir,

I m in short of words.....positively!!

Having interacted very closely with many politicians of differing ideologies, I feel that in most of the cases they just play to the gallery. Majority of them act under various compulsions and more so as fire fighters. I am very doubtful that present day politicians can think or act in larger interest of nation or community in timely manner. The reasons are many and we can spend years debating. If one looks at recent Indian success stories in IT, Milk production etc, these all have happened outside the reach of government controlled institutions. I have developed very strong conviction that India can be led to become great nation only through the efforts of committed non-political individuals. These individuals have to think out of box and use methods, which are outside the controls of government machinery. It would be quite some time before Indian governments can think and act in synchrony with the needs of the day. We may give 1000 lectures to communists on reforming the labour laws, it won't work. Education will never be priority for leaders like Lallu and Mulayam. Indian rivers won't be connected for another 100 years. Rainwater won't be stored in large reservoirs till our governments act on day-to-day basis. Committed people with out-of box approach only can guide people to act on their own to solve these day-to-day problems on long-term basis. Every issue has multiple solutions. Governments are not trained to look for most economic solutions to problems. Governments will always run on old beaten tracks, quoting rules by some LDC/ UDC in files. Politicians will keep spending most of their time fighting with each other. Nation cannot wait. It’s a matter of shame that Industrial revolution bypassed India and now once again great opportunities are being lost just because of our not acting in time. Community leaders have to be trained/ created to grab such opportunities on smaller scales. Serious meaningful discussions on Jatland will certainly help in creating if not many, at least some committed community leaders in various disciplines. Let us make serious efforts to trigger imaginations of our members.

Rajender uncle ji its glad to see this thread here for discussion. But to be a leader is almost diffrent task, something natural traits that we get by birth, its not just posting threads and writing ur thoughts. Yes by these deeds u can make followers but to lead the mass and takes responsibilty is something different thing. There is no doubt here must be many leaders who have unique leadership qualities for example Mr. Navin Guliya, i m a deadly supporter of this lad and he has something to do, he want to bear responsibilities, wants to do something for social welfare, thats are some traits a leader must have. Absolutly JNU is a hatchery for leaders not only communist but many BJP leaders are from JNU like Arun Jaithly and Jagmohan and many more. But University and Internet site discussion are totally diffrent environment, nowhere these sustain together. But hope for the best lets try to emerge someone as a leader from here, i think v hatched one leader already in the form of Mr.Deepender Hooda.

Hi All

Well i beleive Leaders are born and as well as can be created it depends totally on the scene. Well Cap. Manjeet u r pointing towards Deepender, i think leadership is a gift of Sr. Hooda to his son so i beleive still he have a long way to prove. Definitely some good discussions on Jatland can help us to have some good leaders but if we talk abt leadership in the scene of politics than its early for young guns to start cos i beleive to make a start in politics u need a strong positive outlook and bit of courage to work for people and u should be a mature person. But i beleive if we see it out of politics definitely we can do something if we want to do so. BUt as i think is that when u go for any kind of leadership u also need some supporters and coordinaters with u who can actual help u in try to give u a platform for leadership.
So a question for Rajender sir is wht kind of leadership r u talking abt. can u pls elaborate this a bit. Well this is really a good topic to discuss and i beleive few more suggestions will come out.

By community leaders I do not mean politicians. What I meant was the persons who can lead community on various fronts like education, water, environment, health, heritage management, educating masses on issues of international importance,..etc..list can be endless. Indians masses need to be trained to find out their own solutions and to look less and less for government support as present day government is too occupied with non-issues.

Dear Kalkhande uncle:
I have no problems in saying that the way you are working in india you are a leader..what else?I think "creation" and "creative destruction" are complementary. As far as JNU goes i think it is a beautiful campus, there are a lot of bengalis who espouse communism and "liberal sexuality" and its students have had a role towards eloping or inducing elopement of young women from villages in Delhi and elsewhere(and there were reverse exchanges too)..which am not very much opposed to (you cant do much after it happens) but just stating for caution for our members around that area.

umm….If that is so, I would want as many of you as possible ,to take a pledge to lead our community at grass-root level. You can choose an area of your interest and report on Jatland once a year about your contributions. Even a very small contribution will be highly appreciated.

Producing commmunity leaders

Ram Ram to all members.
Thanks to Kalkhande bhai saheb for initiating this important discussion. That itself is good leadership.
Leaders are made, by circumstances, training and upbringing. Of course, the individual has to have dedication to his act. Birth in a leading family may be an advantage, but that doesn’t automatically guarantee good leadership qualities. These have to be nurtured.
A good example can be of Sardar Patel. He was a English educated barrister who liked cigars and English dresses. One address of Gandhiji changed him from inside. English was out, Swadeshi was in. We are all aware of his achievements. Similarly, when farmers from Saurashtra came to him for solving their problems, he put Morarji Desai on the job. The Milk Co-operative that was conceived became a roaring success. (A precursor of Amul). But the same Morarji was a failure as a PM. Similarly, the Gandhi who could inspire people to give up every personal dream of theirs for the service of the motherland, again proved to be a very poor politician. India has been troubled by his legacy since then, and will continue for many 2 years.

So leadership is not for all seasons. It is, mostly, situation specific, circumstantial.
India as a whole needs bold and visionary political leadership. That is the pinnacle which affects everything else. Whatever, IT & communication revolution etc have achieved would come to a naught if we continue to have weak central leadership for couple of more years. Terrorists will have a field day and poachers will destroy whatever is left of India.
However, that’s too high a topic for this forum. Kalkhande BBhai Saheb is right in steering the discussion towards other areas which can make a direct impact on the day to day lives of people. Education and social cohesion are two most important fields to my mind. Every small action will count towards improvement in whichever area somebody chooses to work. No contribution is negligible. Expressing ideas on the forum itself is commendable. May be somebody else will get a useful input!

Lastly, greatest leader is one who creates more leaders, better than his own self. The greatness of Guru Drona was not in the fact that he was an outstanding archer himself, but in producing an Arjun !

Wonder what has Sh Hooda jr has done that many people are already going ga-ga. Frankly no man of substance survived in Congress. Patel was the last one. Most others were sidelined by Nehru and later by Indira. This is old tradition, when Gandhi forced Subhash Chander Bose out of party presidentship way back in 1929. Recently, two promising and relatively young men lost their lives, in almost identical circumstances. Madhavrao Scindhia and Rajesh Pilot.
How bad the condition is can be gauged from this small advice a Manager of a Bank used to give to his younger staff in early 1950s. He would say, “Beta jab ye congressi counter par aayein, to jaldi se inka kaam karke haath jod liya karo”.
Any guesses whether fifty years later things are better ?
Lets hope Hooda jr is able to maintain his character.

Hi All

Well thats gr8 thing abt leadership. Leadership can be done in any field like educatiaon and other social things. For this we need to do a lots of efforts and for this one need support from the people. Yes Jatland is a good platform to interact with people and exchanging their ideas but still there is one thing lacking on jatland and that is coordination. I dont know everytime when a topic is discussed we all come in supprt and against it and than after sometime that topic is out, it means no outcome is been generated. So wht i beleive is that if we are really serious abt doing something than it is neccessary to have a proper team spirit and coordination and ofcourse leadership. There are various issues we had discussed here but so far we didnt have anything comeout from that so whats the use. Nyway if we need some leaders for future from jatland than i assure u that if we got one in Rajender jee than other is me...(lol..). Waise majak nahin hai sahee kahun hoon. Nyway now i really beleive that if u really want to serve ur community u should have a goal in mind and to achieve that u need proper team, team planning, strategies, coordination and finances and again leadership.
Baaki issa hai ek thoda shuru karne ke liye badhiya tyarri honi chahiye aur kaam pura kaarne ke liye tyaari bina maidan mein utarna jaat ke liye theek nahin hota. toh saare jat bhai kathee hoke arr leader ne gallein le kar chalo toh kuch kar sakte ho.
So i really beleive Jastland will really produce some leaders in various fields but may be it will take some time but i think outcome will start in another 2-3 yrs.

Yeah, Jatland is good plateform to produce leaders... it could be smooth process if we support each other... more than leader, its the team spirit thats more important... hierarchy is not that important in today's world...

Oh, on side-note...
Sorry, not to ridicule anyone... but I just cudn't resist, this reminds a poem by McGough... though it might not even look like a poem to some, but it says a lot:-)))))

"The Leader"

I wanna be the leader
I wanna be the leader
Can I be the leader?
Can I? I can?
Promise? Promise?
Yippee I'm the leader
I'm the leader

OK what shall we do?

Sampuran Singh Ji,

Congress is not alone. Tell me in BJP or even among communists if there have been lateral entries. Same old Atal, Advani, Jyoti Basu have been doing forever. Conditions of regional parties are even worst. Everyone knows how Jayalalitha, Lallu, Mulayam, Choutala, Thakre and Chandra Babu Naidu etc have full grip on the affairs in their parties. May be political compulsions demand such attitude from the top echelons of the political parties. Not only in India, it’s same in most of the countries, with varying degree. People might blame India for family rules, but how about the Bushes and Clintons of USA, Hasina, Khalida Zia of Bangladesh, Bhuttos of Pakistan? There will always be resistance to new entries, does not matter when you try to join and where you are. This applies not only to politics, but to other walks of life as well. However, determined people will always find new and more innovative methods to make their presence felt. Those who can think out-of-box, will always make it to the top..

Leadership

Kalkhande Bhai Saheb, You are absolutely right. Today they are all same, only degree of degradation varies. Since the Congress and Communists started it first, it may not be unfair to think that they are the worst. Like the missionary christians, their techniques have become more sophisticated to fool the people. Think of the parqallel between the slogan of 'White man's burden' and 'Congress will not shy away from its Constitutional duty to form a government for the sake of Secularism'. Or even the 'Voice of my inner concience'. Since Sh Hooda was mentioned by people, and he is from Congress, I had to tell the truth concerning that party.

At political level what is needed is an honest, bold and visionary leader who will be uncompromising in setting aside regional or community interests.

Dear rajinder ji,
I am replying rather late. I think this is the best thread I have seen on jatland. I have carefully read yr original thread and some replies in response to that. One change I am feeling that members are now discussing burning issues that nation is facing, our hindu community is facing. Usually, we look forward to our politicians for solutions to our problems. Everybody knows todays politician has got his/her seat for a fixed period and would like to enjoy as much she/he can. YOU ARE VERY TRUE IN WRITING THAT INDIA CAN BE LED TO BECOME GREAT NATION ONLY THROUGH THE EFFORTS OF COMMITTED NON-POLITICAL INDIVIDUALS.
Only appreciation to thread! What next!!
What I have perceived from your call is that members must come forward voluntarily to take initiative as community leaders.A community leader’s role may be contacting more and more jats in his/her area, spreading message for unity, conducting periodical meeting, brainstorming problems, working out action plans and implementation.. Problems, solutions their of and achiements/ changes may be posted in Jatland so that other communities can get benefits from the solutions.
Local communities thus formed may be part of a statewise larger community. Todays we are lot of facing problems including dowry, mismanagement of funds by local administration, entrance of criminals into politics, lack of uniform code for all religions etc. we can if not can eliminate them fully, we can reduce their gravity to significant extent.
We can unite through local community leaders!
Yes this is high time to unite ourselves. Unless we unite, we will be ruined. Our political leaders are all set to ruin us fore the sake of muslim votes. Only our unity can save us. This is possible through community leaders.
Let’s us come up voluntarily!
If any meber has better idea, pl share with others let us do it.

Correct Rameshwar Singh JI. This is what I aimed when I posted this thread. These community leaders will be like middle level managers in an organisation. Problem in India is that we have people who can give directions and then the workers. There are not enough people who can manage things at middle level effectively.

The first and foremost quality of a good leader is aggressiveness. A leader should have the ability to aggressively crush his adversaries, aggressively stick to what he beleives is right. A strong leader aggressively defends his people.

I do not beleive in democracy. I beleive in the law of the jungle. There can only be one lion in a jungle. In the jungle of civilization, that lion is the leader.
