The first and foremost quality of a good leader is aggressiveness. A leader should have the ability to aggressively crush his adversaries, aggressively stick to what he beleives is right. A strong leader aggressively defends his people.

I do not beleive in democracy. I beleive in the law of the jungle. There can only be one lion in a jungle. In the jungle of civilization, that lion is the leader.

hahahaa..Only Sumit can roar like a lion..... pakka ek din Zoo me hoge Sumit bhai..as Lions in jugle are dwindling..Lions can never protect their jugles..LOL
Chinese kisi din teri haddiyan ka soup banakar pee jayenge Sumit...hahaha

We all live in a society , not jungle. Laws of jungle shall work only in jungles not in a civilised society. Given the size of our country and the diversity that exists , democracy has still survived in India while it has failed in many countries.

And a good Leader never uses coercive powers.

Why cant we have a positive attitude towards things? Why always this negativism and agression?

I think leader is one who is able to exercise maximum potential of team members... he should be assertive but not aggresive, the concept of adversary is not quite same as was in times of kings... it's competition but leader should also be conscious of option win/win situation... today society is so homogenized that everybody is almost at same level but in different direction... so vertical hirerchy is changing into lateral diversity... so many specializations... vertical hirerchy is just to keep things in order and retain the concept of authority... leader is one who has best understanding of this lateral diversity and is good in inter-personal relationships, so everybody like working with him (outwardly for him but basically for themselves)... ofcourse not substitute for killer-instinct... leadership not a priviledge, it's responsibility...

I would agree with sumit ji, a leader shld be aggressive in todays world. I knw we live in a civilized world but still... jiski lathi uski bhains... rule prevails. Whn USA went into war with Iraq.. what this civilized world did bout it .... NOTHING... y Coz nobody had the guts to stop USA n her jungle raj. A community's growth depends upon the aggressive nature of its leaders n their ability to take incentives. Aggression say mera yeah matlab nahi hai har waqt ladai ko tyar rahna.. it means aggressiveness in dealing with people. According to me Indira Gandhi was an ideal leader, though she was hungry for power and selfish to some extend, but she very well knew how to tackle probs. She had one word written alll over her... AGGRESSION.. Be it 1971 war with pakistan.. or operation bluestar... she used all power neccesarry to crush her opponents. Is matlabi duniya mein koi kisi ko khud ka haq nahi dayta .. sab chinna padta hai. Agar haryana mein koi tough leader hota to kya SYL project abhi tak beech mein latka hota??? Aur jahan tak democracy ki baat hai .. india mein to sirf naam naam ki hi rah gayi hai... har dusre state mein terrorism.. log ek dusre ko kaat rahe hai... khabhi dharam kay naam par to khabhi power kay liye. Agar sarkar logo ki marzi say bani hai .. to unhi logo nay hathiyaar kyon uthay hue hai usi sarkar kay khillaf ????

Pahle to ye ki yaar tera fotu bahut mast sae... US is not best example of ideal leadership... leadership is more than politics... I would call Iraq failure of US leadership and integrity... even talking practically, just look how many people die there everyday (wait and see what happens after US withdraws), you think Vietnam was leadership success?... Indira Gandhi example is valid for leadership in politics only... she introduced corruption to Indian politics is another matter, lets not talk about it...

I guess we were talking about leadership in general... If it was about politics then first, I don't think Jatland would help anything in becoming CM, second it has narrow scope. Only 2-3 person can lead in politics at a given time... but talking of leadership in general at all levels and in all fields implies more people get chance to use their potential... if you lead yourself in day to day life you are your own leader... leadership isn't just winning and "leading" at first place... Its also about taking care of those whom you are leading...

i agree with most of ur views
there has been lot of deterioration in the political scenario........i personally do not think we have even one good leader
they are all after money ...none of them have a true character but rather than just giving our opinions i wish we cud all join hands to improve the situation
politics has become a dirty word now

but aggressiveness i do not think will long for last......a leader should have a vision and i feel very human so that he relates to people........after all we do not want more maharajas .........a leader should lead by example................our present leaders are capable of giving flowery speeches but ultimately it all boils down to their work.after all actions speak louder than words

leadership

Leadership is nothing but an honest tendency based on initiative to motivate, guide, and acomplish missions of paramount importance towards ultimate good of a group, society or a nation.
