As far Chautala is concerned he has definetly done a little for the farming community but again corruption is bad and eats into the state revenues which can be used for the development of nation.

First Meeting

Since I am not from Haryana, I know little about Haryana Politics.
It was my first meeting with Mr. Chautala. He is here for his knee surgery. Unable to walk without the help of a walker, he still showd up in at exact time. That was impressive. Most people from Jat community and a score of people from other communities of Haryana state came to greet Mr. Chautala.

All I have known about Mr. Chautala has been through news papers from from heresay. While there can't be a fire without a spark may hold true, some times the rules could be misleading in politics.

I was impressed with Mr. Chautala's handling of questions and answers. His speech was short crisp and to the point. His answers were to the point and if I may say good.

He talked about the geographical advantage Haryana state has due to its proximity to New Delhi. Haryana does hold a strategic location to develop much faster economically as compared to other states.

If Haryana politicians and civil officials really work hard, I have no doubt, Haryana is the state that can match the best in the world.

I liked a suggestion given by Mr. Chautala to the audiance on issue of political affiliations. He said, that for NRI's the best thing could be to remain politically neutral. He thanked NRI's for their massive contribution to lift the Indian Economy to its current state.

Over all, It was a nice function. Thanks to Shri Jagbir Singh Balyan for organizing it.

I do not want to end up in a debate. But this is totally outrageous.

This guy comes to the US for his own personal medical care while he advocates government hospitals for the people back home. Why didn't he go to one of those government hospital in India? Dont give me an argument that it couldnt be done in India.

I do not know where do people keep their sanity when dealing with issues like this. We raise out children; telling them that they need to make friends with good kids. But, we ourselves keep everything else on the backburner and go to see a corrupt, criminal politician whenever we get a chance. Why?

What do we expect from a person like Chautala? Do you think that if someday when need arises, this guy will help you? Make all the connections you like, but you are hurting yourselves and others in the long run. Do not bolster such an individual's confidence by sweening over him even when you know that at the end of the day, you will be on you own, and no one is going to help you.

Finally, I admire Chautala's keen acumen. I know why he wants the NRIs to remain neutral. When we look at things back home from an outsiders perspective we realize the problems better than those back home. Whn he wants us to remain neutral, he wants us to let him and his cronies continue their plunder and pillaging.

Shame shame shame! Dont foam at me. Look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself if you did the right thing by honoring such a crook. I hope that next time you come across a petty thief you will shower him with more praise and accolades than you did on a much bigger thief like Chautala.

dear bro,,, y to blame chautala only? tell me ,how many or wot % of politicians go for medical care in india,,,, how many kids of politician attend govt. school ? lets start frm the nehru parivar .......

govt. govt. govt,,, politicians ,politicians,....oh cm on man......look at urself in the mirror n ask urself, shouldnt u stop blaming govt ,,politicians........?

ok ,, cm,mlas ,,mps ,arnt efficient enough as they r on dat position...main problem is wid the voter who starts his own destruction... if u really want to bring a change start frm the scrap.its ur mind n our mind to b changed......we have given them the chance to develop a system like dat...every time we choose a candidate by seein frm which party he is and more powerfull than eligible.. we the people invite them to loot....

development works done by chautala govt in last 5 years r really commendable....every jat leader working for jat community deserves honour...

govt. govt. govt,,, politicians ,politicians,....oh cm on man......look at urself in the mirror n ask urself, shouldnt u stop blaming govt ,,politicians........?

When I look at myself in the mirror, I feel proud for all I have done in my life. And I feel confident about what I will do in the future.

Why should I stop blaming the government? What have they done that I need to hold high praises and reception for them?

ok ,, cm,mlas ,,mps ,arnt efficient enough as they r on dat position...main problem is wid the voter who starts his own destruction... if u really want to bring a change start frm the scrap.its ur mind n our mind to b changed......we have given them the chance to develop a system like dat...every time we choose a candidate by seein frm which party he is and more powerfull than eligible.. we the people invite them to loot....

Look! government is an enforced monopoly. Just like any other enforced monopoly in the market, government will operate inefficiently. There is no such thing as good government, just like there is no such thing as nice smelling s**t.

An enforced monopolist like an electricity provider has no incentive to care about its customers because there is no competition.

Similarly when governments loot and plunder there is no one to stop them. they know that at the best they will loose the next elections, but voters will vote them back 5 years later when the other party fails similarly.

I do not want to start a revolution or bring about any change. I dont care if you were to jump into a river. The basic tenet of "Human Behavior" is that we are selfish being.

Everyone does things for their own personal benefit. No one undertakes an activity that won't leave them much better off compared to how they were before they started.

People are too busy with their everyday responsibilities. Thats why they do not care about what politicians do. So people are selfish.

Similarly, politicians are selfish as they do not think twice before they loot and plunder.

Thats why when I log-on to jatland and I read Ch. Chotu Ram's quote: "Practice subordination of the interests of the individual to the interests of the community systematically, until it becomes a habit," I find it really stupid.

The reason we all are relatively better offf in our lives is because we as selfish biengs always subordinated our own interests over the socieities interests.

Society wont feed, clothe and shelter you, even if you spent your entire life subordinating our own personal interests to the society's interests.

Even Chotu Ram subordinated his own personal interests over the society's. Otherwise he wont have been anything that he became.

Rant all you can. I can prove that every person in the world is selfish. Otherwise they would have become like Gautam Budh. It is rational human behavior. Feeding your family must take priority over feeding your neighbor's family. If you do not think like this, then you have your priorities misplaced.
development works done by chautala govt in last 5 years r really commendable....every jat leader working for jat community deserves honour...

Start telling me about all the development work done by any government, and I will prove you wrong on every count.

Governments can never be efficient because they do not have to worry about competition for their decisions. A government's decision stands in the face of every argument.

Look at the SC/ST quota for example. People are protesting to the max and all that government does is order lathicharge against those who dare to resent.

Look dude! I think differently. At the end of the day if anyone has the capacity to make the best decision on your behalf, its no one else but you. Trust me.

Just remember that there is an inverse relationship between IQ and tolerance for government. Harsh but true. Ask me how, and I will tell you why.

haryana a part and parcel of delhi suba a historical fact

Most of the people are not aware that the state today known as Haryana was never part of Punjab. it was attached to punjab after 1857 as a punishment for participation in the first war of independence:)

I feel proud for living in a democratic country..

only 5 ways r left for a common man if he isnt satisfied wid the system

1 >>..... to take law into his hands
2..>.... to suffer through his life by saying dat govt. is an evil
3..>>...to cummit suicide
4..>>.... to run away
5..>>.... to spread awareness among public about corruption,,opression,injustice...

if system is not goin well, it doesnt mean dat one should lose his belief in govt, democracy.... see the both sides of a coin

ok if u say dat police is biased.....i give u a latest example,, son of president punjab congress committee was arrested 2 days before in shimla for misbehaving with a girl....

judiciary >>... jassica lal case,, son of dp yadav case ,salman khan ..............

if u say dat we dont have sufficient facilities in hospitals... have u ever noticed dat how many patients have been cured by the same hospitals....

yes there is smthing wrong but we cant curse govt all the time ..wot we need is a large no. of persons who r concerned about country`s need and r ready to work for society... ..... problem is wid the voter dat he is nominating govinda ,dharmendera, sidhu just bcoz of being their fan...cant he think dat wot givinda has done for society and wot he`ll do in future ...

democracy is the best thing we can have, its the voice of the people...

I am sure people are going to sing a different tune when Chautala comes back to power. That is the way of politics works in India.
I am not sure how many of you know it but the messiah of the backward caste Mr V. P. Singh gets treatment for his kidney ailments in the UK at the expense of the Indian govrnment. Just because the poor quality of water in India will cause infection .

Chautala koh Jat paat sey lenna denna hai naheen...usaki kahaani sirf paise ki hai aur agaar usane kabhi bhool chuuk sey kabhi jaton koh favour kar bhi diya hai toh voh usaka baddappan naheen...usaki job haii...

Yeah, you have every information about Haryana sitting there in Swedon. And had a good research on Mr. Chautala rather than ur carrier studies.

And i admire you for ur stupid language about a person who didn't harm you by any means.

I think you travelled all the villeges in Haryana ( Online... hehehe) and know the what is reality there.

I suppose that if a person in ur family were handicapped, you would have used that language.

All said if u have any mind otherwise be happy with ur thoughts.

Dear Sumit,
When you are as prejudiced as you are, one misses the point. Firstly, personally, I have nothing to gain or loose to have a relationship with Mr. Chautala or any one else for that matter.
I have talked about a political figure, about whom I had heard a lot both good and bad through various channels. So, it was a good opportunity to listen to some one for the first time.
You probably would never understand as to why me and many more Jat community members ended up being there. It was more for Mr. Jagbir Balyan who is a very active and helpful member of the community.
I believe in hating the sin rather than the sinner. Further, it is always a good idea to see people about whom you have heard a lot both good and bad.
We are our own judge of things. We have our own perspective and perception of things. We have our own ways to solve the problems.
For you it may be a shame to meet a person like Mr. Chautala, for me it is not even if I don't agree with his views. Meeting people is my passion as well as hobby.
Once you look back on your own arguments, on this website few years from now, I am pretty sure, your perspective about things would change and you probably may realize that it would have been a good idea to look outside the bubble.

Col. Virender Sir!

I personally do not have any problem with you. Infact I can vouch for your honesty and self-righteousness, even though I have never met you personally. All I need to see is that you are not in the business of "extortion and coercion."

However, I really won't think twice about disparaging anyone who tries to give comfort to corrput government officials. Just the fact that anyone hosts this guy or anyone like him, gives them relief that all is not lost yet. They feel that people are willing to overlook their blunders. They feel still may have a chance of returning to power and continue their loot and plundering.

Opinions change. I used to be a hardcore socialist long time ago. Today I stand 180 degrees from where I used to be. Someone just convinced me that voluntaryism is bettter than coercion. I have the theoretical explanation complete with analytical analysis as to why government solution never achive equilibrium when looked along with the society as a whole.

Chalo Vijay Saab! aap haryane ke baare mein vishesh suchna denaa jaari keejeeye. We have all our years for you. Waiting for that "sectret information" that we "sitting far and away" do not have.
