Gagu bhai, I agree that lot of work was done in Chautala's govt... tons of money was poured in villages (atleast in Bhiwani)... e.g. around 20lakhs was spent in Sarangpur. But first, most of it came from central govt during BJP (Ajay chautala being MP), second, the management of work was classic chaos (not general obeservation but only few villages that I know of)... randomly a building was made for animal hospital with no doctor, now childern play hide and seek there... another random building was made for elderly people (vridh asram) to meet and smoke hukka, now a bull is tied there in deserted room... yeah, streets look good... a dikki(water storage) was digged but engineer and surpanch stole money and dikki leaks now... its almost useless...
So the overall performance was bad and no doubt Chautala and his sons are very corrupt...

Ur Support sounds good and one reason is that ur of same gotra of Chautala and ur from the Hisar Side. I agree chautala had done a lot work but if u ever came towards rohtak and sonepat districts where chautala had done nthing. Krishan Pehlwan the gangster was ruling rohtak and sonepat at the time and people have to pay ransom to these gangs.
Dont compare Chautala with Ch. Devilal cos Ch. Devilal was really a great leader but chautala only used his name just to fool the people of Haryana. Anyway bhai corrupt toh sab hote hain par bhai ek hadd bhee hoya karre.

These type of descisions affects the Call centre industries. And you know Gurgaon is the major destination of call centre industry in India. What else we can see about the vision of Govts.

Regarding roads in Haryana you said that money come from Central Govt. than why didn't they constructed before Mr. Chautala's tenture. And why not now ??? Present govt even don't care about the repairing the roads. Where is the money central govt providing for the roads in the state.

I fully agree with you Vijay on the points you have made. There is no doubt that Mr Chautala contributed a great deal. However, saying that he is responsible for the development of Gurgaon, would amount to denying the contributions of Mr Bansi Lal and DLF. It would have been next to impossible for any MNC to put up their offices in Gurgaon without the infrastructure initially created by DLF. Proximity of International airport has been another major factor for the growth of Gurgaon. No doubt Mr Chutala facilitated the further development. But again compare Chautala with Mr Bansi Lal who treated almost entire Haryana like his hometown. Mr Chautala did not treat all regions of state same way. He was very vindictive towards many parts of Haryana for some reasons. I know some one very closely who joined Ch. Devi Lal University in Sirsa at very senior post and had to leave because of interference of his sons. My friend told me that Mr Chautala is not such a bad person and certainly has vision, but his sons control everything including awarding all major work contracts. My friend had to leave because Chautala's sons wanted the contracts to be awarded to a particular contractor. You tell me now how one can build a strong university with such low level interference. Whole Haryana knows how Jr Chautala was registered for law degree in Kuruksetra and never attended a single class. with this type of respect for education, how one can expect them to see Ch Devi Lal university grow into a world-class academic institution. How can a CM be judicious if his sons dictate him? I would give benefit of doubt to Chautala ji for all his good intentions, but these are his sons who brought all the blames at his door. I am not against his sons or anyone for that matter, but then one should not interfere in the matters of institution to such a low level that professors have to leave. I can tell you with full confidence that the credit of spoiling Ch Devi Lal university will go to Jr Chutalas and not to anyone else. Anyway, we can go on debating this...Had Mr Chautala been good to every region of Haryana, he would not have been defeated by the people. Ultimately people of the state are the best judge and not few people like me here on Jatland.

Good question. I am posting the link to Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Please go through the contents of the link and you would notice that this programme was started only on 25th December year 2000. One might wonder why it took good 53 years to launch this programme. Might be this was the time that party/ government in power realised the importance of connecting all Indian villages via pakka roads to main state highways or other all whether roads or this was the time when extra resources were available. I am not going into that.

I hope I have answered your question to best of my ability. As mentioned earlier, I am not downplaying the contribution of Mr Chautala. One has to understand the complete picture before calling names.

but chautala ji ne jaton ke liya kam kiya that wat matters for me the most bottomline.. or kisi ne jaton ko nhai pucha unhone pucha....

Vikas, discussions and debates are the foundation stones of democracy. I am really happy that we are conducting a fairly healthy debate here (much better than they do in parliament and assemblies...LOL). As mentioned many times over, I am not downplaying the role played by Mr Chautala. One cannot judge national or regional leaders by sectarian approach. Mr Chautala might have certainly favoured jats from parts of Haryana, but at the cost of Jats from other parts of the state. He might have developed parts of state at the cost of other districts. In my view this cannot be called healthy. Look at the entire education how it was neglected during his tenure. Head masters and other lesser civil servants were made VC. One can go on listing the problems. Let us not glorify some one beyond what he or she does not deserve. Think of how many Jats are working in the IT sector in Gurgaon? I am not aware of the percentage, but it will be insignificant compared to others from outside state. Who is responsible for that? Can Haryana take advantage of all this without educating its masses?

Well, i appreciate that you liked the job done by Mr. Chautala as CM and as a person.

But as we know every person have some drawbacks and he is just a human being like us. Nobody is perfect here. As i belong to Sirsa, i am aware of the facts you mentioned about Ch. Devi lal University, Sirsa. Yes, the interference is there but not at that extent. Govt can interfare into a University if it is handled privately, but after UGC recognition there is very less scope for the local interference. There are pre defined rules and regulation for the recruitment in the UGC recognised Universities. Ch. Devi Lal University failed due to the cold reaction by the new government about the recognition support by the state Govt. But i agree there are some loopholes.

Well, i am not commenting Chautala as a mere politician i am referring him as a Jat first and a politician later. He is a true Jat and soul by nature and there is no hidden fact about that. Did you remember the position Jats during Bhajan Lal's tenture. How he supported his Bishnoi community.

I think you are not aware of the fact that My grandfather Ch. Hans Raj Arya ex-MLA from Bhadra and Nohar ( Rajasthan ) was the responsible person to present Bhajan Lal on the political stage of Haryana in 1967. But Bhajan Lal hate Jat's from the core of his heart. That is mere politics and Mr. Chautala doesn't involve himself in this type of politics. He favours Jat's but not at the cost of other castes. That's what i like in him.

Regarding Politics, in todays world every politician have to do evrything to remain in power and maybe he is not an exception so what's the big deal. Which politician is not corrupt and didn't supported their family from Nehru to farooq Abdullah.

Is he a special case for that in today's Indian politics ???

bhai ofcourse he went for buissness to these trips, all i was pointing was that he took his entire crew of freinds there wid him, even my mamaji went wid him to various tours, he is very much close wid him(He cant even speak english!), but everything is okey wid me, the only thing hurt me is his attitute towards FARIDABAD. stagnation in development of faridabad in his tenure, is a fact.
