Another thing he tried was to enter western UP politics. He held rallies there in strong Jat belt and even his party contested elections from there. Sabki jamanat jabt ho gayi. You know why he did that. He wanted to make Ajit singh unpopular in that area. BTW, Ajit Singh is another story...but this wasn't expected from Chautala. And there are many more issues!

Nothing will happen to chautala shaab, Something same happened with Sardar Parakash Singh Badal in punjab but in end he came out clean.

In my view, it is not ripe at this stage for any of us to pass on any adverse comments against Chautala ji, though I know that today's politicians are not 'tyag ki moorti'.

India Today, in its issue of March 20, 2006, wrote a short comment (page 4) which I quote:

See the coloured portion - CBI acting on the dictats of a political party, not the Government of the State !

So, within a short span of just three weeks, CBI has done the job ! How ridiculous ! Obviously it looks only a political game and only time will reveal the truth. CBI officials made numerous trips to foreign lands to unearth the money paid to Indian leaders in Bofors case. Was the money recovered and was anybody punished? In Jain Diary case, the name of Ch. Devi Lal was highlighted but it proved to be a false charge. In Bofors case, CBI was actually rebuked by the Court not to be able to produce enough proofs to bring the guilty to book. Any agency which becomes a tool in the hands of ruling party, loses its credibility in the eyes of public. Let us wait and see before coming to any conclusion at this early stage.

I am not blaming the current political leadership in Haryana : we are hearing from our relatives in India that the situation of electric and water supply, public transport, condition of roads, availability of medicines in Govt. hospitals etc. has worsened and that public was better-off during the times of Chautala. He was the one who financed the village panchayats to a great extent so that developmental work could be done by people themselves.

Other communities do not openly vomit venom against their leaders but we Jats are famous for internal fighting : "जाटड़ा और काटड़ा एक दूसरे का दुश्मन होता है" .

Let us, therefore, stop making comments on this site about Chautala ji. After all, undoubtedly, he has done a lot for the welfare of the State and for our community too.

Chautala may be in news now for wrong reasons, but after some time he will have to vacate the podoium of dishonour for someone else. CBI inquiries have become so routine that they do not serve any purpose. What will be the end result ? NIL, by the time the inquiry comes to an end some more would have become corrupt including some CBI officers. Some would indulge in corruption to hide the facts, some to misplace the documents, some to change their statements in court ? Good thing ? At least some loot will get distributed among those who matter or are involved in this campaign against !!! Chautala is stinkgly rich by, by whatever means, and these CBI raids/inquiry is not going to make any dent in his fortunes. The media, the people are talking of his corruption today, the same people and same media will hail him as great leader, garibon ka masiha, et al, if makes a come back. Didn't it happen in the case of Arjun Singh, Bhajanlal, Sukh Ram, Badal, the list is endless. So why to worry !!!

Almost every politician is corrupt in this country, only difference being the power.

The laughable point is that Chautala's plot measuring 500 sq. yards is valued at 120 crores whereas Sonia declares the value of her 15 bighas and three biswas (not less than 20 crores) as two lakhs nineteen thousand only, and the authorities accept it !!! If 15 bighas in Sultanpur and Dera Mandi can be declared to be worth 2 lakhs why Chautala's declaration of his assets being worth 14 crores is not accepted. Double standards !!!
