Jats have been just sitting there and watching all this drama of sonia and rahul and their lie about Gandhi.
it's an emotional connection"Gandhi" to the thinking of an average citizen. students are taught in schools since they are little that mahatma gandhi got them freedom from british.
Nobody wants to teach about the jats regiments who faught for british in world war one and in world war two. finally making the british to leave india in 1947.
its a Jats bad luck that nehru became the first prime minister, when all he did was hung out with other leaders.
Jats must see the true picture of todays political scene in india and must understand how they have been duped and fooled for last 60 yrs.

The problem with India is not the Gandhi or the RSS or Chautala or corruption but the attitude of people. Fortunately or unfortunately the Indians seem too intelligent inasmuch (or emotional?) as they can support or oppose anything without applying their head. Someone has rightly said "Indians think from their heart". All cross sections, be they jats, brahmins, chamars, rajputs, biharis, bengalis boast of their contribution to the country and crib of being ignored by the Government. Why don't we learn to be competitive like our refugee brethren, competitive and ruthless who believe only in gains by hook or by crook. They don't boast of their contribution, nor they compalin of being deprived but they are everywhere.

For God sake don't make heros out of looters...Its our misfortune that nation and public moral has come to such a low level..

In my view, it is not ripe at this stage for any of us to pass on any adverse comments against Chautala ji, though I know that today's politicians are not 'tyag ki moorti'.

India Today, in its issue of March 20, 2006, wrote a short comment (page 4) which I quote:

The Agency will probe a chargesheet drafted by the Haryana Unit of the ruling Congress accusing Chautala and his sons of amassing disproportionate wealth. See the coloured portion - CBI acting on the dictats of a political party, not the Government of the State !

So, within a short span of just three weeks, CBI has done the job ! How ridiculous ! Obviously it looks only a political game and only time will reveal the truth. CBI officials made numerous trips to foreign lands to unearth the money paid to Indian leaders in Bofors case. Was the money recovered and was anybody punished? In Jain Diary case, the name of Ch. Devi Lal was highlighted but it proved to be a false charge. In Bofors case, CBI was actually rebuked by the Court not to be able to produce enough proofs to bring the guilty to book. Any agency which becomes a tool in the hands of ruling party, loses its credibility in the eyes of public. Let us wait and see before coming to any conclusion at this early stage.

I am not blaming the current political leadership in Haryana : we are hearing from our relatives in India that the situation of electric and water supply, public transport, condition of roads, availability of medicines in Govt. hospitals etc. has worsened and that public was better-off during the times of Chautala. He was the one who financed the village panchayats to a great extent so that developmental work could be done by people themselves.

Other communities do not openly vomit venom against their leaders but we Jats are famous for internal fighting : "जाटड़ा और काटड़ा एक दूसरे का दुश्मन होता है" .

Let us, therefore, stop making comments on this site about Chautala ji. After all, undoubtedly, he has done a lot for the welfare of the State and for our community too.

You are certainly entitled to your views on Chautala Ji or anyone for that matter, but physical threats like "hadda me masalla bharna" can not be tolerated.

Now coming to merit issue. Most of us have lived under conditions of deprivation in villages. My father was no better than most of others whose kids used to waste time and never took studies seriously. Why should Hooda Sahab or for that matter any one else should support non merit candidates at the cost of hard working meritories candidates? Why can't Chautala Ji and others go to village schools and advise kids to study hard and compete with others?
