Challenges and Chances before AAP

Within 3 days he has done a lot. After the Audit of Electricity provider companies, he would not rely on the subsidy anymore. There are strong chances that these power companies have forged the balance sheets. So we should be patient and hope for Kezriwal govt to survive at this point of time.

So far he has delivered a lot within very less time and resources. It takes a lot of time to change the rotten system. No body was so impatient before.

None has doubt about survival of his government at this juncture !

If AAP wins about 10-15 LS Seats in the 2014 General Election then it will be big challenge for BJP to form a govt in Centre.

AAP will undo all the Modi effect!

Of course, the Congress seems to have emerged as the direct beneficiary of the power taste given to AAP in Delhi. AAP is going to loose its separate identity as a party with a difference.

Every indication is there that AAP is emerging as an ally of Congress as it has made Government in Delhi with their support. Conversely, this would further lead to forge alliance in future government formations in the Centre and if need be at State levels too.

Don't know why people form opinion so early. It is a movement which evolved as a result of public anger against Congress and BJP's inability to provide effective alternative.

It also shows that people are so tired of corruption and ineffective governance than they are even ready to experiment with inexperienced govt. They think it cant be worse than already corrupt govt.

Give them some time. Its too early to judge. Those who are criticising them are doing so either because of their cynicism or due to pre conceived notions.

Notwithstanding the populist stances, the alliance with the Congress party [to enjoy power to rule Delhi ] against whom AAP waged a non stop movement and election campaign does not leave space to form another type of opinion than to think that AAP has also emerged as one of the same type of existing political parties. It cannot hide its true nature any longer and would stand exposed sooner than latter as the Lok Sabha elections are not far away.

AAP Government has granted some rebate in electricity rates in Delhi on experimental basis for three months of the current fiscal. Earlier to it, they slashed water charges ! These two populist demands have been met within no time by them. But alternative sources have to be tapped to meet the deficit caused by these measures which are yet to be announced by the Government.

Yesterday, i was watching his media breifing on subsidies on Electricity, during this breifing reproters were repeated asking the same question, from where they will adjust deficit but he kept mum on the question, did not answer. which is very important, because after all who is going to suffer is the tax payer or common man in one form or other.

He said that this an interim measure and not the ideal. However he assured that after the audit of power companies, his government won't use the subsidy anymore. I think he is quite sure that power companies have cooked the books.

that was not answer on this question, about the adjustment of deficits.

And if there wil not be any major irrgularities traced out during Audit of power companies then??

I don't understand how come AAP is an ally of congress. AAP did not request for any support from congress. It's the BJP and Congress who blamed AAP for running away from the responsibility. AAP has shown a great courage to take a risk of forming government. And in fact BJP and congress strategies backfired after AAP accepted the support. AAP has emerged more stronger after forming the government. It gave the party a big boost and sour grapes to BJP and Congress.

AAP has brought the ethics and moral values into the politics(Which was missing in politics for a long time) for a SAKE(which is not bad). BJP and Congress are not able to counter it. Their every step is proving counter productive.

Yes he is betting high on audit. Power companies may come out clean. Who knows at this stage. Only time will tell.

Couple of months ago Modi government announced the construction of Sardar Patel statue which is estimated to cost about 2500 crores. But not many people are questioning that. I am not saying that subsidies are good(In fact I am against them) but they are still better than wasting money on statues.

I think its incorrect to label Congress and AAP allies. Congress outside support has no bearing on AAP's working yet. Neither is Congress in discussion with AAP in terms of policies or future course of action. Media hasn't reported any meeting between Congress and AAP.

Its the BJP's narrative to call AAP as Congress' B-team and we are falling into their propaganda by thinking that AAP and Congress will form alliance in other states too.

Let one try to understand is there any political party in India or anywhere under the sun which does extend support to some other political party without influencing the other one's policies and programmes !

If the answer is no, then, how one can deny the present situation at Delhi.

My observation is quite affirm jaspreet ji, and no way driven in any haste or prejudice. I come up with it with a very wide observation, rest wait and watch, time will reveal everything to you! And we shall perhaps take this poit again somewhere here itself!

Phool ji, I must say speed (or haste as you put it) is very feeble ground to dream up the kind of international conspiracy theory that you did. Perhaps you are guilty of the same crime - haste, in judging AAP! :)

Yes they are not 'allies' technically but will in the long run have to adjust their policies and programmes to run the government amicably.

The outside support of the left parties to UPA I and its impact on the Government policies is not a forgotten fact.

In the present UPA II, the outside support of certain political parties and its price is visible. Influence of inside support of DMK's falls fickle to outside support of SP and BSP. Otherwise, how do you react to softening of certain cases against Mulyam Singh Yadav and Mayawati in recent past ! Has their outside support to Congress led government anything to do with it or not !

It is not BJP narrative but is historical truth of Indian political system in which AAP has entangled itself unwittingly in Congress game-plan.

Yes Anna movement has brought the question of ethics and moral values to the fore in the politics and AAP after taking advantage of the new objective conditions generated by the movement won 28 seats in Delhi, but thereafter, the AAP has fallen prey to cobweb of established political party to enjoy political power.

It is a short time gain but would prove in the long run undoing of the AAP, which seemed to the people a 'different' political party.

The Congress and AAP are not 'allies' technically but will in the long run have to adjust their policies and programmes suiting to each other to run the government smoothly.

Quite an insight. Impressive!

Everyone is playing a game. Congress wants to undo the Modi effect in order to restrict BJP to form a government at centre. Kezriwal has replaced Modi on social media and TV. Also Congress will keep AAP on its knees during the support. It would be very hard for AAP to take action against Congress for the alleged wrong doing.

BJP has stayed away from the power on the basis of moral and ethical ground (Call it AAP factor). Otherwise BJP would not have taken long to break AAP and form a government.

AAP took a risk to form a government. Just to prove others wrong and showed that the party does not shirk from responsibility. Also showed that it can walk the talk. So far AAP has used all sorts of populist tactics to grab the attention of people. Nothing wrong in that as long as it is positive! I disagree with some of AAP's theories and ideologies. For example, Lokpal bill etc. Apparently AAP is not targeting the fundamental problem (that is to bring the transparency in the system, simplify the complexity in government business and promote free markets). But lets see how everything works out.

Yes !! its seems they are into haste or hurry, keeping in view of Lok Sabha Elections and grabbing masses attention.

Good analysis of the polity of the day at Delhi Union Territory.

In view of the known character of the outside supporting party, Power sharing in transparent manner with the 'outside ally' and all inclusive development of Delhi is the need of the hour for AAP to sustain in Delhi Government !

Why sharing power with Congress which has clearly said "Outside Support" only !!
