I think we are unfortunate, Haryana doesnot have any honest leader like Sir Chotu Ram ji.
Chautala has become like Bhajanlal. I think if congress comes to power bhajanlal will become the chief minister by hook or crook. Bhajanlal with his crook mind will take the Chief ministership away from Hooda sahab.
Today we need Chotu Ram Ji for bringing back Haryana to the growth track. Haryana is running close to bankruptcy. This is because of Bhajan lal, Chautala. I donot think Chautala is worst than Bhajan lal. Both are two sides of the same coin. We have to stop beating the bush and find a honest literate leader who can lead this state into prosperity. Firstly we will have to cut the Government expenditures, which amount to 60% of Haryana state Revenue. Sampat Singh the finance minister is also incapable because he spends most of his time pleasing Chautala.

Why is Haryana better than Bihar: Bihar has only 1 Laloo,
Haryana has 2: Chautalaloo and Bhajanlaloo.

In India, to bring about developmental works does not ensure an electoral victory, CEO Naidu is best exemplified by this.

The same is said about Bansilal too. It is said that no one did more for Haryana than Bansilal(during his first term) and he was promptly voted out of power. I was not born then so I have no idea what work, wat improvement is being talked about...(though some oft quoted examples are..roads, Haryana Roadways, Tourist stops :maina, bulbul et al, Gurgaon development, Maruti etc.) am sure elders of this group can shed some light on his term..One thing is sure..he cant be put in the same set as Bhajan Lal or Chautala...

Dear Rahul
Your good point prompted to write:
Only winning elections is not only important, but people like Bansi Lal or CEO Naidu will be always remembered.
Please read a seperate thread "Competant Jat CEOs"

Folks,

This is a good point. So called leaders will come and go. But people like Mahatma Gandhi, Saheed Bhagat Singh and his team, Subhash Chander Bosh, Sir Chhottu Ram will be remembered and live forever.

As has already been said, both these Lal's of Haryana, are equally bad. The question is what is the remedy. You defeat one in elections only to put another one in power. An honest leader is the need of the hour, but honesty alone may not result in success in the dirty game of politics. The leader should not only be honest but also shrewed. We need some one like "Chanakya" to lead the state or for that matter the nation. But where do we find them? The answer that I can think of is that we educate ourself and our children not to do what we don't want others to do to us. That may sound too ideological to follow, but let me assure you it is not difficult. But the problem with such an attitude is that it is passive in nature. The requirement is not only to educate ourself and our children, but also the common man/woman, who actually goes and casts his/her vote. It is a tall order and requires a very efficient organization. The things can start at grass root level where our younger generation can hold evening talks in Chaupals (if they still populated and used to share thoughts rather than being a common place to watch TV). It might take a long time, but if started at every village and every locality in every town, than effects can be seen as early as next elections. What do the readers think about practicability of this program?

aak kal to haryana main suna hai ye hawa hai :- hara jhanda cchhat pa'' aur mohar lage gi haath pa' bhai amit public tau devilal ke time jitne anpadh koona chautala na ghara bathawa gi dictator ship ka zamana gaya.naveen jindal jaise padhe likhe neta politics main layane padange.

Dear Rahul,

Even taking Ch. Bansilal's name with Chautala and Bhajanlal will be an insult to Ch. Bansilal, who was too competent and capable an administrator. Of course the vicissitudes of politics has pushed him to the oblivion, his contribution to Haryana's development is unparalled. I wish, he had even 10% of the cunningness of the other two Lals, he would have been ruling Haryana today to take it to further heights.

Thanks RK
We wish other leaders also leave their cunningness and do good to be remembered
