Yes indeed, i agree that it will cost a lot to our economy but this situation reminds me wise words of a great men.

Question is, how much these % reflect in total exports of China and total imports of India

India is so small when compared to other exporting nations that the impact will be so miniscule for China, they will re-coup soon where as our imports will suffer as China is second biggest importing country for us.
Also look at Japan, their tensions with China are more rampant but china's export to japan is 3 times than India, if cutting ties is a solution why isnt Japan doing it?

When it comes to China, even US can not do anything. A bitter fact.
Anything that can be done with China is diplomatically, or by being an ally but I am sure some expert can throw more light on options but war is clearly no solution, neither cutting off business ties is.

How where why you know better.....What little I know is the quality which we are importing from China is doing less good and more harm. India is a dump market for them.
India is a dump market for Indians, why blame China? We export all good stuff and keep bad for our consumption.. you get what you pay for

being an ally of china is out of the equation, you can even believe pakistan for once but these chinese are bunch of red liars. What i think is that India and other asian countries (bullied by china) must join together to counter chinese monopoly and made a union like european union.. why not counter the chinese on innovation, IT, defence, space, medical as well as on other sectors. South Korea, Japan, Thailand, India and others must come together under one umbrella. if everything goes well in near future US and EU will support us. but again i am not the policy maker it's govt.
