Cow Slaughter In India Be Banned.

Cow - a very usefull & holy creature for us all but cow is slaughtered in India , this is general demand of public that it should be banned in the country. There are two states West Bengal & Kerala - cow slaughter is open there - where are the central Govt. laws to protect this holy creature?
Please comments on it whether cow slaughter in India be banned or not ??????http://www.pfaharyana.in

There are no takers for old cows and old cows are no economic resource.

A farmer after a certain period of time, has to remove his older cattle.

Moreover, with the growing dairy sector an increasing number of farmers are involved in professional dairying. Modern, professional dairies that are now coming up are cow based dairies (not bufallow based) and cross bread cows are being reared. Now, a farmer involved in dairying has to sell off a cow after it reaches a certain age and its milk production decreases. Now, who will take that cow.Farmer can not keep it.

If it is not culled, it will roam on the streets, get to eat things like polythene, get bitten by dogs and die a painful death. This is what is happening all around in India. Rather, than talking about banning cow slaughter, we need to develop a clear policy on culling of old cattle(cows). Also, it is only a good quality, high-yielding, healthy cow, which is an economic resource. No farmer ever likes to keep an old, sick cow.

We need to develop modern slaughter houses where old cattle (cows) is culled through painless means (Infact, this is now view in the government also).

During BJP government, when there was a lot of talk about banning cow slaughter, Bhartiya Kisan Union and other farmer lobbies had criticised this policy as being hypocritical, impractical (where will all the old cattle go???) and grossly against interests of farmers. People who propogate this policy should themselves rear cows and then they will themselves understand that old, sick, poor quality cattle has to be culled and there is no other way out.

Infact, mostly, voice against developing cattle culling policy is raised by organisations which have nothing to do with cause of farmers. So, we have no business aligning with such an idea.

Our old cows roam on streets and live most painful life. How do we explain that.

My dear friends - cow is an industry also, this is not a burden on us. Please search about PANCHGAVYA - cow urine / cow dung therephy - pesticide / fertilizer / cow milk - curd - ghee quality.

I love eating beef ! its my favourite meat . I still remember we couldnt get any beef in delhi when i was there last time so we had to eat buffalo instead and its not as tasty and tender as cow.

even if we cut half of the cows , we will still have enough to get urine , dung and sht.....

wat about the ones on the roads , they jam the traffic , sht all around .... ppl beat them to chase them away and same ppl worship them when there is some special occassion.

lot of cows die coz of eating garbage (plastic nd stuff found in their stomach)... cows are hazard on the roads...bla bla bla

& some people are hazards, wherever they are !

Lots of people die coz they are not able to get anything to eat, so they must also be hazards on roads they die on!

& why buffalo? if u didnt get ur favourite beef, why not one of your freinds' meat, might be it would have been more tender & tastier !

Cows are treated very badly. Which is shame.

Lot of good has been done but its not enough.

To kill old cows is not humane, this only reflects what kind of society we are living in.

Every thing is economic driven.

I'm sure if we humans put our mind to it we can find solutions to any problem and this is not a very big issue.

I am against the slaughter of cows and other animals too .... isse karan chamde ka jit tahi ho sake prayog na karta ... but Naresh ji it will be very good if you can reflect on why we should not do all these and satisfy queries like these ...

Why cow is considered to be holy creature? bheins ya kisse aur janwar ko kyon nahi?

What are the specialisties in cow that make her holy?

When in ancient times, cows got to this holy status? (Knew about mohammad gauri and chauhan battle where cows were used by gauri and chauhan have not attacked)

What can be done with the old cattle like cows ? (aur jyada se jyada Gao shalaen banvae jaen?) .... if we talk about earlier days and that they used to do this and that ... this will not solve the issue ... as in earlier days when any cattle stop yielding milk they have farms and they could easily keep cattle with them .... but these days the dairy people find it a burden to keep an animal with no milk .... they send them to some contracted guys in villages and bring them back after their delivery ....

but when these grow old what should they do?

Naresh Kadyan ji aap log bahut aacha kaam kar rahe ho .... lekin iss baat pe mujhe dhyan aaya ki DULEENA kand issi gao hathya ke karan hua tha ... lekin mene dekha ki wo jo gaen unhone chudwai thi wo aise hi chod di gae .... aur kae mahino tak wahan bhatakti dekhi ja sakti thi .... to kae bar paya hai ki jo ye sanstha si bana lete hein ye sirf limelight ke liye jyada panga karte hein jisse ki aache links ban jaen ... aur wo gauen chudvai gae thi unka koe ata-pata hi nahi liya baad mein .... this is bad ...

So I was curious to know what you have done with those 2 trains full of cows?

What i mean is that since farmers can not continue to keep old cattle, what do we do with them. Every year millions of cows are removed by farmers and dairy owners. Where do they go. Most old cows are in any case culled. Since there is no proper legislation governing culling, cattle are illegally culled in very painful way in obsolete slaughter houses. Few old cows that are not culled die a equally painful death on the streets.

What needs to be done?

hai mrrre yaaar tanne itni haan mai kaam ae kar diya kisssae ka pakad kai....ar kalla kalla kha gya sara meat...ar sahi mai batti suvad tha ke?:p
 
Lot of women in India face problems like deficiency of iron and other essential nutrients during their pregnancy and other phases of life. And men too.

Meat is a good source of nutrients.

We should start eating meat in India !

Mr Naresh - what solution do you propose for taking care of these non-productive animals that are left on the streets to survive by their owners?

What is your obsession with the cow - why not protect the pigs, maybe chickens - after all they also hurt when they are slaughtered.

In general in our country - the love for animals goes like this...
1) Cow - Gau mata
2) Monkey - Hanuman
3) Snakes - Nag Devta
4) Rats - Ganesh ki sawari

Please feel free to add to the list - these are all I could think of.

I have my own list of animals that I want to protect..........
1) Maindak - frog
2) Ullu - owl
3) Sussa - rabbit
4) Chamgadad - bat

Why do we consider each animal to be just used for our grand purposes and then kill them to eat or make a sofa when their original usage is done...don't they have a right to live just like you do? As for the cows or any animal, holy or unholy as you deem, they can easily be left in jungles if they are not good enough for you...atleast they will have something better to graze and not hindering our beautiful roads..I know meat lovers would like to dissect n relish each animal after they become so called useless but I can only pray that people understand the pain from the other side..Watch the movie 'Chicken Run' to get some idea..
