Creative Movies of all Times

Indiana Jones Series...

....Best of the action adventure Movies!
There was a recent 'Hidalgo' (not the same theme, but a similar genre!) that was also superb for the adventure buffs!
ps. All these Movies are also very good in terms of capturing the desolate regions of the far flung Egyptian lands.......treasures, exotic villians and costumes!

Ice Age 2 -the Meltdown

I have seen this movie "ICE AGE 2"...it's interesting and served as basis for very good jokes.
"The Meltdown" continues with the style of its predecessor both in humor and animation, so those who fell in love with the original will love the sequel too.

hey Vinod, how many in total are there? so the latest three will have beginning of the story....this is quite different, people usually make sequels not prequels!

vinodks said:
Yeah, first 3 parts are better than last ones except the latest one... Even better than Return of Zedi I found it....
Priti, watch them you must as soon as possible... and watch lastest 3 first becuz thats how the story flows chronologically..

-vinod

yeah, nice jokes, especially the possum mammoth ones!

hahaha....i can actually hear ajit saying this in his khaari voice!

I think Ajit really created the ("Saara Sheher mughe loin kae naam se jaanta hai...!") style from there. And then Dharmuji himself! Wow...that all black ensemble was terrific and what a macho projected image with the anger simmering under the skin look!...Controlled and intense!
Classic movie indeed!
The movie was fast paced for those times and an edge of the seat thriller...I also think the whole coming of age vengeance story took off on Indian Cinema from here (never to be created with the same magic again!)
Another gem from the Hindi movies archives!

...Oh man, what a pandora box of issues! Look, I don't really care which side you swing... don't read between my lines like a fool like you did earlier, when there is nothing there!... I know you are stung by my earlier retort, but then you yourself had asked for it dude! ["Mera to dil hi kuch aisa hai Mausi!," read- Amitabh to Basanti's Aunt in Sholay]...so now don't cry like a freaking pansy...

Plus, now you are begining to annoy me, (like a persistent 'sic' fly on my car's front glass) Didn't ask for your advise and really don't want it... I personally don't care what you think about what I believe in...just remove your 'Gay-dar' from me, please? (didn't get it? 'radar'?...'scanning device' looking for something? Got it!?!) and find another guy; I am not interested! Savvy?...

This a thread on movies, so go find another thread for yourself, and maybe someone wouold be interested in your tirade there... please don't high-jack this favorite thread of mine and get it blocked for no reasons, ok!?!

Let's be like gentlemen here on this thread (or gentle'boys', whatever works for you! :D )

Just chill out, take a trip to the nearest 'Get-Smart' store and then to the movie video library!

If something didn't get thru....read this post again, specially the bolded part (and then maybe again...till it sinks in, ok?)

Re manne bhi ki ke aage been bajaai, kati gobar main pathar de maarya par ib okhal main sir diya hai to mosslan te ke darr.....

Pehli baat main teri kiye baat te "stung" nahin hoya, yo saaf kar le, mane dikkat tere te naa hai, ignorance and closed minded ness te hai, teri jagah koi aur hota te bhi nyon hi bolta samjhya.

Doosri baat, yeah Pansy-Shansy, gay dar phay dar, high school main hi badhiya lagya karte, thoda original to ho le pehr aage baat kariye.

Teesri baat, tane nyon kyon laagya ki main tere pe hit karoon hoon, pehlyan apne photo ne aur mere photo to dekh lyeta, tu badhiya jib jatland pe yo baat kehen ki taain koi chori na mili to chorya pe hi shuru ho gyaa....mere yaar yo to woh baat hui tu kaun main khaamakha

Chauthi baat mane koi tirade nahin kari, aur mane baat bhi movies ki hi kari hai.....mera matlab sirf itna tha ki movies aadmi ne arts ki tarah dekhni chahiye apne mental blocks ne ignore kar ke......aur meri galti itni hai ki mane galat aadmi ke sahi mental blocks pe respond karya........

Aur ib kuch ghani baat and bakwaas
hogi, mane bera bhi na ki tane jaatu samajha bhi aave hai ak naa, to angreji main summary padh le ......

Dude, you have crossed your limits and now pushing me to do so as well, I agree with you that we should be gentlemen like everyone else and keep this thread as a movie thread.....and if you want others to be gentlemen here then be one yourself first, I dont think a gentleman would have ever written what you wrote to me.......

Anyways this crap is redundant now, because if you read your last reply you yourself said "you dont care what way I swing" well thats it, I hope you feel that way for everyone and anyone......and thats what I mean by open-mindedness, when noone cares what way anyone swings, or what colour, caste, age, sex, financial background anyone comes from or is depicted in a movie......

And since it is a movie thread, I would recommend a movie to you and everyone else as well.........the movie is "Hair" made by Milos Forman based on the musical of same name......and again if you watch that movie you will know where I am coming from......

Cheers,

P.S. In case you are wondering the language gear change well mane Jattu main is maare likhya kyonki main nahin chahta koi non-Jat or Jattu speaker yo sab padh ke is site ne ya Jats ne underestimate kare kyonki mane khud sharam aan lag rhi hai ki mane yo sab bhi likhna pad rhyaa hai......aur agar tane bhi ibe aage bhi crap or derogatory comments likhne hai to kirpa kar ke Jattu main likhye.....

...Another huge movie (from the early 70's I think?)...was 'Yaadon Ki Baraat'! This gem of a movie had superb songs (remember the title song?...and 'Meri Soni, meri tamanna', 'Aap kae Kamre mein koi...'?) and then an even superb frontline cast!

I think Ajit really created the ("Saara Sheher mughe loin kae naam se jaanta hai...!") style from there.

Another gem from the Hindi movies archives!

'Yaadon Ki Barat' was indeed one of the best movies of the 70's.

But, Shailendra bhai, Ajit's famous dialogue "Saara sheher mujhe lion ke naam se jaanta hai" was from the movie 'Kalicharan'! Remember "NO17"?

Kimae dhyan aya ak nahin?

...what part of my last post did you not understand??? Did I stutter, fool!?!...

Firstly, thanks for not being mean and putting any derogatory thing in the post, I really appreciate it and now feel much more comfortable in communicating. Honestly I understood everything in your post, especially after researching about what gay-dar actually meant, and then dont you think I was bound to get a bit bitter.
Secondaly, I wanna thank someone else in here who has saved us from a lot of trouble and you know who I am talking about :)
And since we have been using movie dialouges I wanna use one that has been used in bollywood since forever ......"Koi Bhool chook hui ho to maaf kar dena...please" please is my own addition to it :)

Good Night and Good Luck

P.S. I am sure everyone is sick of my PSs now, well Good Night and Good Luck is another great movie and shows how bad and lethal narrow mindedness can be. And if you or anyone else doesnt agree with me then please watch this movie.

But Mona was from "Yaadon Ki Barat" and I am sure you know the infamous dialouge......."Mujhe do hi cheese pasand hain, Mona aur Mona ke saath Sona" brilliant isnt this sexual inneuendos at their best:)

And "Yaadon Ki Baraat" also reminds me of "Chura Liya hai Tumne" and off course Zeenat Aman, the only woman who my dad would have fantacised about, and me too.......well honestly I cant be sure about my dad, but Zeenat Aman, Parveen Babi, Neetu Singh, Rekha and Helen would defintitly do it for me :)

Humbe Tokas Bhai, katee yaad sai....'LION = NO17'.....that was a nice movie!
Bihari Babu Shatru at his best in that double whammy role.....(and that constant theme music in the background....'KaaaaliiiiCharaaaaannn..."Nice!;) )

Reminds me of another very peculiar actor Prem Nath in there (playing the Police commissoner mastermind behind the double deception....)
Anyways; he had had some very interesting movies in his lifetime! See if any of the members can remember/list some.....)

Prem Nath did a wonderful job as a Don in "Dharmatma" By Feroz Khan. That movie was a copy of Godfather. But songs were too melodious.

Rrreeeee, JOHNY MERA NAAM bhool ge!!!!!

Premnath at his best. Vo Padma Khanna ka dialouge aaj tak yaad se bhai: "Kuchh to hoga mujhmein jo tumhare wafadar Babu ka dil dol gaya" or words to that effect, just before that song 'Husn ke lakhon rang'.

Dharmendar is and would remain the greatest actor who has ever walked this earth. No arguments please!!!!

Kilki@head master

And back to movies, well I like Dharmendra more in his comdey roles, "Tumhara naam kya hai Basanti", and "Chupke-Chupke" .....and I also like his James Bondesque movies like "Charas" and "Aaankhein". Kiye ne "Satyakaam" dekhi hai ? I saw it ages back and really want to see it again,it looked good then but I am sure I will appreciate it even more.

In India people say Dharmendra is bollywood's Marlon Brando. Well I dont know how true is that but Marlon Brando is my all time favourite hero. I like all of his movies a lot especially, "On the Waterfront", "A Streetcar Named Desire", "Last Tango in Paris" and offcourse "The Godfather".

"Fight Club" is another of my favourite movies, if you like twisted movies then do see "12 Monkeys" and "Mullholland Drive", agar kiye ne "Mullholland Drive" samajh main aa jaa te mere te zaroor nata dena :)

I like Hitchcock's movies, but the ones I really like are "Psycho", "Strangers on a Train", "Rope", "Rear Window", "Vertigo", "39 Steps" and "Notorious". "Notorious" is my favourite one of all these, the best combination of a comedy and a thriller and visually "Strangers on a Train" is most remarkable.

Who else here likes B/W movies more than coloured ones, just talking about visual appeal.
