Simple

Nice thread Sumit,
I think Its very simple.
In India, people elect their leader . Anyone has a fair chance to fight in election, even you can fight ( If you are 21+ or 25+ ).
Lets make a revolution!!!!
Inqlab Jindabad!!!!

How you think we can achieve all what you wish? As of now, there is not a single party (except BSP) where entire family is not in politics. Chautala, Badal, Gandhi, Abdulla, Mufti, Scindias etc all have more than one member in active politics. Why only politics, same applies to other fields also. In film industry also we see the same thing. Even Ch. Charan Singh, who often used to chid Sanjay Gandhi, brought Ajit Singh into active politics. Gayatri Devi also contested elections from Mathura. May be its lack of trustworthy people in politics that senior politicians have to depend on their sons/ daughters etc and bring them in active politics.

I am heartened to feel that people are coming to a realization that I did a long time ago.

Democracy is the legitimization of an autocratic aristocracy. It can further be decsribed as the monopolization of the authority to decide the fate of those who are enslaved by the thought of living in a free democracy.

If we compare our right to vote every five years with the monopolized rights of politicians to make decisions about everything we do, its a very unfair and unbalanced arrangement.

Its not just India where people are being swindled in the name of democracy. it happens all over the world. Every democractic society has its own political legacies. It has become a family business in most democracies to contest elections, one generation after another and thus retain the mandate to exercise autocratic control over us.

These are the reasons I advocate a smaller government that has the least possible control over our lives. Once government ceases to be a lucrative business opportunity, it will make more sense for the children of elected officials to look elsewhere to acquire power and prosperity. Atleast it wont comes at a cost for the entire society.

I am aware that Deepender reads on this forum very frequently. However, he does not particiapte extively in forums, for his own reasons. This gives me an impression that he is not one of us and is just another politician. If he was even a fraction of the humans that he decides for, he must come forward and make his case that he is indeed destined to be our leader.

I seriously doubt that it is trustworthyness, it is just sign of a underdeveloped or developing nation. And it is not unusual. If you look all over the world there are similar trends whether it is communist North Korea or our neighbor Pakistan or any other country

If India has to cross this line of developing nation to a developed nation, we have to shed this political monarchy. This is the only way and nobody should be exception.

There is no doubt our MP Deepinder is much better trained than many of our other MP's

Will he be able to bring such a radical change ?

It is our system " You can't get elected a Village surpanch if you have more than 2 kids but you can become a union Minister even if you have 10".

great question,.........................

I think it is a great question indeed, but the answer is simple I think.
He is the most convenient and compliant choice.

Will be no trouble and will be more then willing to turn the other way in matters of importance. Lately this has been the course of events with the Congress ie: Pratibha Patil another pliant front runner from Congress.

No offence-but a quarry

Onlything that wonders me is-why Depender joined politics after his father became CM. If the reply is, he wanted to serve the state of Haryana, I think no one will buy it. If he wanted to serve Haryana, the he would have never got settled in the capitalist country USA before he saw a brighter light after his father became CM. How come he suddenly developed love for people of Haryana. Its strange that the elightenment of Depender only happened after his father became CM ! How sudden you know, he realised what is best fopr people of Haryana!

So everyone might be thinking, what was the catch? You all know it !

You know Sumit D, same question was raised when Shri Krishan Hooda got ticket in 1987. It was Raj Singh Hooda who should have been given the ticket. May be what Udit has written is right now and was right then also.

I am from Kiloi and know atleast Shri Krishan very well. He is very good person and could be very good representative of people as well. But I doubt his capabilities as a member of parliament, specially in comparision of Deepender. Also Deepender is doing far better than most of the member of parliament from Haryana. Rest, I agree what Rajender ji has said There is nothing wrong if sons/ daughters or siblings of politians join politics. Kewal Inqailab Jindabad bolne se hi Inqailaab nahi aata. Inqailaab requires lots of planning, patient and hardwork. You have delivered a good speech, like seasoned politian. Hope you have the courage to take a plunge. Maar de kood!!

It is simple, u would find sons of Defence people joining Armed forces, A bania son gets into Business (it doesnt matter whether he goes to US or elsewhere ). Similarly if a politician's son join politics, it is the most natural thing to do. I think, what u can question is whether one is deserving or not. Well if somebody is not deserving then eventually, it will not be good to him too (forget the loss to the public).
These family propogation are everywhere in the world. Look at the kennedy's, Clinton's, The Bush'es. Japan's PM, Cuba, Bhuto's, Aung san sui ki and lots more.
On a more personal front, i have met Deepender, and, found him better then the best of politician. He is honest, passionate about education, articulate, aproachable and above all a good human being (pls read his maiden speech available on LokSabha site. He had been active on jatland and writing about education, unemployment for more then 3yrs before he bacame MP, and had showed interest to do good to the community.

CHEERS!

The yardstick of measuring a politician is his or her accesibility. Ever since Deepender became an MP, he stopped participaiting in these forums. He never responded to any of the threads that were started in his name. Speaking further, he never responds to any email.

For whatever his mighty reasons may be, these are not the indicators of a good leader.

There was a time when I used to think like a juvenile. I thought that I can change the system by running for office.

However, I do not wish to be part of a system that monopolizes power while the powerless cry tears of blood.

I think that the best strategy for every powerless individual is to work hard to get all the good things in life and give our politicians whatever they want, whenever they want it, so that they leave us alone.

Dear Sumit, you got the point ....

Why don't you join Siddhantwadi Sangathan (NG0), to do Kranti.....

I have recently joined it by seeing the modus operandi of this organization... they have made historic changes in Bijwasan by fighting for local people. Can't say more, its better you visit www.siddhantwadisangathan.org.

This organization has recently opened Hindi Newspaper Siddhantwadi Khabar, and really have done execeptionally well work in Outer Delhi Area. The MLA, Counscillors are afraid from these guys and AVOID to do any corruption. They have exposed many ration and oil distributors recently. Because of their work, local people have started getting PURA ANAJ AND PURU OIL..... no one in the history has addressed this basic problem for local people.

The local people are really happy from their work.

Regards,

Suraj Rana.

How does it affect you if Deepender is the MP? We should be happy that he is a young man who has lots of energy and enthu., is highly educated, has not been exposed to dirty politics as he was in US. I think we have enough of mayawatis and phoolans, we need more of Jindals and Deependers now. In nojawano par hi ab umeed hai, baaki sab se to hum naumeed ho chuke hain.

Azaad desh hai. Azaad log hain.
Everyone has a right to be what they can. Everyone has a right to take
advantage of what benefits and privileges their special circumstances
allow.

If you don't like it, don't vote for them.

I agree in the sense that we should give the guy a chance and I am sure in a few years when he has his own teeth he will be able to make a difference or atleast so we should believe.

There are not too many young people that are opting for politics and the ones that do should get some support until proven useless and I am sure he has a way to go still.

I have never met him and dont know him as an individual, I am sure he is a genuine person with a good heart, but to all that to translate into public welfare might be a little too much to expect too soon.

Non the less I hope he can grow out of his fathers shadow and work for the good of this people.

See my Thread Link……

Politics also as Business.
A politician also plan for his policy like as a businessman…he should also keep in mind what his rival’s are doing………personal gain, winning election and personal ambitions are there. A politician would be worrying about himself and would do any thing in his means to further his own power and finances but a businessman does not worry about anything larger than his own immediate world.
There is not much deference between businessman and politician.
Both are interested in more money and more power and both are willing to get what they wants. When you got the perfection in manipulation and mergers

National leaders are meant to feel responsibility to things other than themselves. The truth is that politics has now become a business, You can make politics as a career.
Aur ye loktantar hi hai……..aap chahe to aap bhi chunav lad sakte hai…..kya independent MP ya MLA nahi hai…..?
Koe kise ke liye seat nahi chodta…..ye bhi ek Rajniti karne wale ki Rajniti hoti hai.

Ticket to khap…surname…..aur cast ke hisab se hi mil rahe hai. Kyunke koe bhi party ye nahi chahti ke uska candidate hare. Ishliye itne ticket sirf Jat ko…itne Brahmin ko…Rajput…Baniya…Punjabi…..etc etc. Even ministership bhi cast base per hi milti hai.
If he is a son of CM its good because he is getting experience better than others and I think he can do better than others MP’s because politics in his blood and third generation. He can avail his father and grand father experience.
He is a nice young man and we should hope he will do great job.

Making it a little clear. I am not against making Depender a MP. Rather it is good that an educated person reached the parliament. But the timmings of inducting him is the matter of concern. If Mr Hooda (CM) or congress gave ticket to Depender considering his education, then was not that thing clear to them few months ago in legislative elections.

My next question is-was Depender only educated person in congree for that seat? Was there no one better than him? I think there are lot more educated people who, if given a chance, could have done better or as good as Depender. If congress understands the value of educated representatives then during MLA election why did not they bring forward more educated young males and females. Induction of Depender at that time only appears to be pure selfish motive. I do appriciate the works Depender has done and hope he continues.

Yeah well, where are they at??? These new MP's and supposed public servants???...
