NEW DELHI: After a brief lull, the HRD ministry renewed its 'detox' operations, terminating the services of the directors of 11 National Institutes of Technology (NIT), all of whom were appointed by the NDA government.
These directors were selected without prior approval of the appointment committee of cabinet (ACC), the HRD ministry said on Wednesday.
These institutes were earlier regional engineering colleges which were converted to NITs by the NDA regime.
