Well said Birbalji, though caste system was backbone of self-sustainable society few centuries back it needs radical change in order for us to keep up with changing times.... in vedic context "varnaashram' makes sense but
I feel, Brahims unknowingly did long term harm to Hindu religion when caste syatem was getting rigidly stratified during early ADs of last millenium and feudal system became pervalent during Gupta period....
today everybody agrees with this general idea of need of change but not much happening in grass root...

Do we have "Bhamashahs" to bankroll such a "missionary" movements? Traditionally rich hindus ( read Baniyas) have financed "evil brahmanistic hindusim" for ages and it will remain so in foreseeable future unless earth stops rotating on its axis. The primary reason behind the spectacular success ( including mass conversions) of charity works of abrahamic relgions is deep pockets of the promoters.

Abhishek,

Let me state in defense of baniyas that in the pre-independence Rajasthan rich industrialists like G.D. Birla, Jamnalal Bajaj, Bhagirthmal Kanoria, and seth Piramal were influenced by both Arya Samaj and Gandhi and these people contributed immensly to the progress of Jats and other oppressed people despite facing threats from the Rajput rulers and Brahminical hierarchy. So, what is really needed is a charismatic leader and the money will follow.

Exactly.. Indians are known to give everything they have. This was proved during freedom strugle when people gave up their government jobs, burnt all their imported cloths and once again during 1962 war, when people gave all their jwellery in National defence fund.

Dear Dr. Birbal Singh ji,

I agree with your viewpoint that financial resources may not be the constraint. On the leadership front, one fear I have is that I believe no political party or political leader would be easily willing to throw weight behind such a cause -- unfortunately seems to me that both National parties would want to be 'politically correct' and I don't think they'll want a confrontation with Brahmins or any other classes which dominate their rank and file. And regional parties can't be trusted for their own money let alone a much needed cause such as this....
Not sure what the remedy is but just brainstorming....

Rajendra ji,

Maybe we should contemplate such an action! Apprehension I have is: would we have enough legal ground to prove one way or the other...

Deepender!, I am not sure how Nonica Dutta reached to the conclusion that Jats were Sudras or even below Sudras in some cases. As far as my knowledge goes, Sudras are the one who serve all other three varnas. Jats are never known to serve others in any manner. Jats are most warriers or agriculturists. I have never heard of a Jat working as house hold help or anything alike. Nonica Dutta is a Typical Bengali intellectual ( read communist breed) who are known to be anti-Jats as Jats never fell into communists ideaology. I wonder if her work can be taken to court ????

Some really good points uncle Birbal.

AJGaR can only be possible if the leaders from Harayana, Punjab, Western U.P and from Rajasthan get together with an Aim that will be beneficial for all not just JATS.

In regards to RSS/VHP and Co these organisation are a total Joke altough they do some good in riural areas.

If you wanna look at an Organistaion that is actually doing something for the Hindu community Globally i suggest you have a look at www.hinduhumanrights.org its not some micky mouse Organisation and has done alot for the Hindu Community here in Britian and also abroad.
