Who would get the benefits of reservation?

Would it be the jat population from the villages? People who do not have resources to even reach that stage where they can be eligible for reservation in a professional college or a job?
There are reserved seats for wards of ex-servicemen, freedom fighters...in the professional colleges.Who takes advantage of these seats? Is it our students from the villages?
Are the learned folks ready to sacrifice their reserved seat for their poor country/rural cousins?
Our economically disadvantaged villagers are being placed at the forefront in arguement for reservation, but are they the ones who would actually get the benefits?
Regards.

aap apne aap hi khudd ki assumption bana rahe ho...mai nahi khush reservation se and Anju have given valid points for that you can read them...moreover i will be more glad if any jat gets the seat in general category by his/her sheer hard word then taking this short cup....apne mann se aap kuch bhi sochte raho aur bolte raho....Yeh aapke dimag ki Vidambana hai

Anju, my attempt to answer your questions. Answers in bold.

Who would get the benefit of reservations?
Answer: Jats from towns and cities who are relatively well-off, Jats whose land has been acquired and who have got good compensation. Who have had the resources to send their children to private schools. These "more fortunate" kids would get more freedom to have fun (read awaragardi) as they would know that they have a special boon of reservation and hence they need not work hard. But yes, they would definitely benefit as they would have to struggle even lesser in life than they are doing now. But how they would benefit the wider society (read family, community, nation, etc.) or indeed themselves by realising their true potential is a trivial question that we must ignore in this worthy battle for reservation, which is indeed our birth right.

Those who would have made it on their own without reservations in general category would feel compelled to apply via the reserved category (Yeah, I hear arguments about how they should still apply via general category, but here is a breaking news- that is not how human nature works! When you set the bar lower, almost everyone aims lower. And this debate is anyways not for those who don't care where the bar is but are intent on excelling). And these people, who would have anyways made it, would now enter these jobs/educational institutes with the reservation tag- not everyone appreciates the extent of reverse discrimination (well, not a good thing, but it is there) in the system against those from reserved categories.

Would it be the jat population from the villages? People who do not have resources to even reach that stage where they can be eligible for reservation in a professional college or a job?

Answer: Haha, you got to be kidding me! The point here is not the benefit of those who most need it. We are Jats, but we are also Indians. This is an exercise in national integration- we want to be firmly integrated with the Indian system. For 60 years, the reservation system has been abused by the haves in India, while the havenots have been told every 5 years in elections that this is what they must fight for. How can we be behind in this rat race? And it is a matter of pride- if meenas and yadavs can have it, then why not us? The way to prove our mettle is not to get medals in Olympics or battlefield or to excel in any other field, but to get the reservation which is our birth right. Yes, yes there is the small problem about our being Kshatriyas or Shudras. Indeed, our wiki page says that we are true blue blooded Aryans, and the purest of pure race. But let's ignore those claims for the time being, shall we? No war has been won without compromising on a few morals. There are several reports that cite Jats as actually shudras and we must use those in this struggle.

There are reserved seats for wards of ex-servicemen, freedom fighters...in the professional colleges.Who takes advantage of these seats? Is it our students from the villages?

Answer: Comeon, you are again trying to be clever with your uncomfortable questions. Let's be clear for once and all. Apart from those rare cases where some needy guy makes it against all odds (and which is repeated to make all of us feel good until there is a new example), the reservations don't really benefit the needy. They are not meant to. The needy masses are there to make up the numbers for a show of strength. So that we can have rallies and vote banks. Unlike you, these guys don't ask uncomfortable questions. You tell them X is for you guys. Y has it but doesn't want you to get it. It has them sufficiently worked up. Of course, if they had been clever like you, they would have figured out that this X/Y business keeps changing while nothing really changes for them. But fortunately they are not. Thank god for that!

Are the learned folks ready to sacrifice their reserved seat for their poor country/rural cousins?

Answer: Of course not! This is the most appalling suggestion I have ever heard. We are doing our bit by getting those guys reservations (sshhh, I know it is them and us both). Now it is upto them to use this privilege wisely. You can't expect us not to look after our own interests, once we have done our bit for the society. We might as well donate all our belongings to the charity.

Our economically disadvantaged villagers are being placed at the forefront in arguement for reservation, but are they the ones who would actually get the benefits?

Answer: I have had enough of this. You are really not taking this struggle in the spirit it is meant to be.

So very true...All who are crying to have reservation are those who desperately want to have the benefit of the reservation for their own benefits. They all are the selfish beings.Dusro ke naam ki duhaayi de rahe hai par garaj inkko khuud ki hai.

Jind, Feb 22 : The Jat community in Haryana today demanded its inclusion in OBC category on the lines of legislation enacted in some other states to get reservation benefits in government jobs.

Jat Arkshan Sangharsh Samiti, Haryana at a state-level rally demanded OBC reservation and termed it as "right of the Jat community".

"If reservation is not given to Jats, the Samiti will start peaceful struggle for getting reservation," its leaders said.

They said quota in appointment was accorded to Jat along with other farming communities like Saini and Gujjar in February 1991, but former chief minister Bhajan Lal deprived Jat community of reservation later.

People of the community in Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh were getting benefits of OBC reservation, they added.

dudiji sahi kah rahe hain

dudiji hamari is jatland ke animal farm ke ek aklmand old major hain....george orwell wrote one animal farm. he got a noble prize for this book. n e body can google search.

ten commendmends were written about animals

one of them was that four legs good and two legs worse

but when animals came to power it was written on the wall that

four legs good n two legs better...

this is always happening with jats.....

the merit of jat layed in their fore sighted ness. when horse was discovered jat was born on horse back in mongolia. jat always flourished on the latest technology....as soon as ...n e new animal was known jat made use of it. in those olden days there were no industries...but animals...the lord siva made use of these animals n was regarded as pasupati.....later after ramayana or in the same period jat experimnted with vanaspati...n many jat clans are named after that including dudiji, (the dodi, that still has blossom)....ramayna is this katha only of jats...where jungles were being burnt for agriculture....n ...the local people opposed it....but there rama did not keep n e distiction between rakshas vibhishan n ravan...the difference was there only in the matter of policies...

similar, here, jats ur old major charan created it for u, n u urslf do not understand it...

where will u bring the pm from....from heaven...it policies that matter ...n not ur two hands...

that rajput pm vp singh understood this policy n to punish another jat devi lal he misused it.....n jats till today never understand it...particularly ...the educated jat people on jatland...

2. kaam kimme khaas se nahin

3. mere chhote dimaag se jo ban pana, maine to us hisaab se anjoo ko jawaab de diye. par aap ghane gyani so. ghani report padhe baithe so. to aap de do uske jawaab (par jawaab uske sawaalon ka dena, apni nyaari ramayan mat shuru karna)

4. aisi report thok ke bhaav kabaadi bazaar main milti hain. khair maine to apni post main khud hi kaha tha ki aisi ghani he report se jo jaaton ko shudra batati hain. ten commendmends were written about animals

one of them was that four legs good and two legs worse

but when animals came to power it was written on the wall that

four legs good n two legs better...

this is always happening with jats.....

You may have read Animal Farm, but don't seem to have understood it.
