Does the Sun-Signs mean anything?

This is something I cam across somewhere and while the question is not really about if the sun-signs (related to horoscope) are true or not....but had always wondered how many of us live by the traits that are laid down under these sun-signs???.......Have you been doctorined into it and hink that your sun-sign tells exactly about the traits (style, behaviour, mood, etc etc) that you have?...
Again, this is not about if the stars guide your life, but more about are you unconciously ordained into the 'sun-sign' rules?

Here is something to consider:
Scientific researchers in Denmark and Germany have found "no independent effects of sun signs, elements, or gender, and thus yields no support for the common claims of astrology."

Astrologers argue that while sun-sign astrology - like newspaper horoscopes - is more for entertainment than anything else, very accurate predictions can come from an individual reading of a person's birth time, date and place.

What do you think?
 
shailendera I believe in sunsign more than horoscope.sunsigns definately does not predict any thing .and I think no body can predict future but when it comes to sun sign they only tells about certain characterstics.lindagoodman,s book for sun sign is most trusted till date.
for eg librans are fond of food .aries are fearless.aquarians are thinker,piscens are cool natured ,virgo r possesive.leo dominating gemini very secretive and so on.thats my point of view I strongly believe in them.there r certain signs i avoid .Its my theory and I go by it.I like aries because I myself arien.

I strongly believe on Sun Signs. They are accurate if studied well. They tells us about the basic nature and traits of a person in general.

Taurus are aggressive, Capricorn are open minded and Cancer are sensitive and so on.

I like to go by these sunsign and it happens well.

I dont think it mean anything special, its more kinda general stuff. If u believe in sun signs thn u start acting according to tht, it will always b on ur mind like if u gotta make a decision bout somethin u will b like oh thts how an aries shld do n i shld do the same too something like tht. but thts jus my point of view.

Dear Friends,

One thing that human beings can never stop from wanting is: What will happen tomorrow? This is the root cause. Remember those good old days in the villages when children used to pick up handful of grain and ask the Ox whether they would pass or fail? This anxiety can never go away.

I had asked this question to a practicing Astrologer (A JAT who is no more. He was based in Meerut and was a retired SDM) many years back. I had opined that "sab kuchh destined hai or koi pharak nahin padta. Ye sab in pandton ke dhakosle hain". In any case this is how most of us think. His explaination was as simple. He said "Jab ek insaan ki jabaan se nikla hua bura shabd log saari jindgi yaad rakh saktein hain or riste naate toot jaate hain, to ye Trillions of Tons ke Planets (each having various elements) kuchh to pharak daalte he hongein".

I do believe in Sun Signs & Astrology. I am not enslaved by whatever an astrologer may say but yes one tends to be a little aware. Nothing more. It is like someone telling you to carry an umbrella during rainy season.

There is no denying the 'Theory of Karma'. As you sow, so shall you reap.

No one on this earth can predict the future accurately. May be lot of people have done a lot of study to evolve this thing called Astrology. Whatever they say is not gospel though. Those who have a copy of Linda Goodman's Sun Signs may read the marriage prospects of a Virgo Male & an Aquarian Female!!!

yeah--true

i dont know bout horoscopes( daily ones moreso), dont believe either
bt d zodiacs by Linda goodman- fits me to the T !!:)
 
jagmohan ji what is so special about virgo male and aquarius female marriage.even I have read lindagoodman long time back.but I do not have it right know.








Those who have a copy of Linda Goodman's Sun Signs may read the marriage prospects of a Virgo Male & an Aquarian Female!!!

I Personally dont believe in any of them,wether u say numerology or astrology or palmistry,coz jo hamare karam maine likh hai wahi hoga,,and nobody can stop that from happening ,,,.hamm puri koshish karte hai by wearing rings and stones ,,but in se sirf tasale hoti hai aur kuch nahin

dont believe much on sun signs.
I wonder when twins cant be identical in attitudes
how come there future will be ??
