Dowry System

Hi All,
I would like to say that Dowry system is notonly encouraged by the groom butalso bride side as well. I would say that there are plenty of examples that groom side tries to avoid the dowry in marriage. But tell me, Howmany examples from bride side. THey only say NO Dowry but looking better groom than their girl by hook and crook. is it the duty of bride or her parents that they should look same profile or matching boy what girls have. But they always get marry with a higher profile man than herself. I would say that there are several girl in our community, well educated highly employed etc. They should try to get marry with an unemployed boy like most of boys always do with girls . In this case, Boy can do work at home.
Both pillars, men and women should work together to eradicate it. It is not the duty of boys. I think Dowry can be only eradicate when same profile people get marry.
I would like know opinions of our highly educated young generation.

i think , in husband wife relationship there should not be any selft esteem. Tell me howmany girls are coming forward to do that?

A high profile boy doesn't implies that the girl family has to give dowry. In fact, since he is educated as well as must be having good economical background. So, he should be the first one to say no to dowry rather than opening his mouth.

There are lots of us who speak lies n all just to influence the girl's family and i guess in normal circumstances, a girl gets lesser than she deserves. A fraction of delhi jats having good source of earnings from property n rents etc..n u cn just see any normal guy among them...of the girls they marry...in lot of cases the girl is more qualified and still their families have to pay a hefty dowry. No offence intended.

And, more stupid are those compare the dowries that he got that much and i got that much.

I remember a funny incident, where a girl from my village was married in some other village. One relative of her in laws(nanad) commented tht her father gave a scooter n some guy in their family before got a bike. To that she replied, hamaare gaon main mangal kumhaar key aik gadha faltoo hai...kaahe toh ussey ley aaun. The relative kept mum when she heard it.
