ON THEORIES:

There is nothing wrong with exploring theories. That is what discussion forums are for.

Sometime they are wild theories, sometime they can end up making sense.

Take this 'Awful' tower theory.

Historians, have theorized and linked the Goths of Europe with the Jats of India- (the direction of movement is not the issue.)

The goths did settle in and rule in what is now France, Spain, Germany,Italy, Eastern Europe.

Can we say with certainty that there were no workers , descended form Goths , in the workforce that built the Eifel tower?

Dear Shobhit..the female gender is suffering in Jat society for centuries...and you will be shocked to see the gender ratio in Haryana which is a Jat dominant state.

Correction and corrective action are no different things. You cannot take preventive measure when you are already affected with the disease...you need cure. You have to cure the society which indeed needs persistent efforts without getting frustrated.

DOWRY SYSTEM..was started as gifts which could be of some use to the newly weded couple...but why our society has become a beggar today?

Parda Partha was started in the muslm era to prevent our females from muslims. When our society couldnot protect females from rulling muslims it stared Parda Partha. But why it is there till today.

Female feoticide is there today because of obevious reasons I already mentioned. And our society donot care that much for females to be educated. The hard reality is that our society has used the female gender.
Everything is done opposite to oath that we take at marriage.

For a moment I agree that Tajmahal was made by Jats...how does it improove the state of women in Jat society. If Tajmahal was made by jats then why donot we see anyother structure made by Jats on the similar architecture. The bitter truth is the that Jats are still backward in thinking and untill and unless we donot improove our thinking we will be llke this only.

We might have female SARPANCHS in villages but the husband is doing all the things except getting thumb impession of the Sarpanch where and when required. Why those female sarpanchs are not allowed to do something themselves? Bitter answer...because our society thinks that they cannot do it!!!

Its better that we stop day dreaming and take proper actions to improove this society.

A wise man said... "It takes a strong stomach to see what other people feel when they look at you" i.e. the world is looking at us and has got feelings.... and we need to see them... so that we could change ourselves with the changing times.. Strong stomach here depicts our knowledge of self.... how much do we know ourselves....

YOU WROTE THE ABOVE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The truth is that we have failed to change with time...and we have knowledge of self but we ignore that and try to make ourselves happy by day dreaming.

Shobhit in the end...I believe in my signature...I give due respect to past but dont waste too much time in it...I live in present.

Hardly anyone looks at the past of a failed person or sociecty...If your present is shining others try to find out your past to tell you.

I would like to add a word to the Tajmahal theory in he end...its not Tajmahal that is claimed to be built by Jats or Hindus...rather it is said to be built on some Hindu temple after demolition.

One More thing Shobhit...False claim only damage a society as they become rumours. My point here is not to talk about the useless and senseless things. I have already mentioed that we have few glimpses of glorious past and I have full knowldge of that. But talking too much about past..that too useless stuff is wastage of resourses.

This thread is specifically started keeping that thing in mind...so that we focus on present rather than useless claims.

Kudos to Shailender for putting things in perspective.....(such a relief to get reassured that there are people who put India before religion)

Now that someone mentioned about madhushala here is another great poem that I think is demanded by the context....

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls

Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit

Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake

"Whoever wishes to foresee the future must consult the past; for human events ever resemble those of preceding times. This arises from the fact that they are produced by men who ever have been, and ever shall be, animated by the same passions, and thus they necessarily have the same results.
Machiavelli"
Dear Shamsher, you call certain discussions wastage of resources and useless, may be you are right, and I envy you for that. I have been wasting time all through my life discussing our past and nourishing my mind with the emotion called "pride", and that pride comes from past to this present-- All over the world people had this connection to past, having that pinch of superiority around them-be it be americans or british-all through our life we were fed that british civilized us and we were fools and snake charmers---they took pride from us. Willaim cunnigham and Sir james todd have always been cited for our history who were rajput kins. both of them shaped the history in favour of early aryans, we were always called a later wave of sythio aryans. History which is so distorted, so devoid in memory so very absurd needs to be reviewed discussed and reframed and this is better than cracking jokes which lead to nothing!
How so true have u been while pointing out the centuries old ills which prevailed in our society, sex ratio haryana, female foeticides, suppression of female gender all of them are somehow somewhere related to our past, i feel shamed in accepting this that one of brothers is not concerned about what why ,when and how went wrong
If u know it as u said plz come fwd to let all others know what it was, so that we could take a corrective action. Also, dear correction and corrective action as very well described above are two different things and we should look for corrective action.
If u go little deep in history around the world-right from britain where women got voting rights in 1918 to china where women had to bound feets, to america where blacks were melted out treatment inhuman in every possible way till 60's, u will find tht one race of JATs have been providing thr ladies with all rights- Thakur badan singh, maharaja surajmal, maharaja prithiviraj chauhan all of them urged ladies to get swords and abandon parda. Read satyarth prakash and u will read nemerous examples of jats challenging brahamanical customs--dayanand saraswati was not JAt but no less than one in his attitude.
so malik shaab, pay heed to the discussions over history.
During Indira's time--we had great coincidence of having KN RAO as RAW chief, PN DHAR as principal secretary to PMS following HASKAR and the like were dominating most powerful theatre of India--u must have guessed, all were kashmiri pandits and this was when--ruler has no religion or caste!!
people all over world are trying to bring themselves together in name of past, ethnic similarites and even under banner of art of living....then why not us.!!
Peace..........

Dear Rohit...we are only discussing past for centuries and doing nothing to make the present better. I have mentioned Bharatpur which remins us all of Badan Singh and Surajmal.

Wen we have not written the history ourselves then what will we get...one britisher mentioned something and other something else.

HISTORY IS THE STORY OF FEW BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAD FAITH IN THEMSELVES. These brave people has written the history as they wanted.

These ills are for centuries and we are still trying to findout how and when these started. We just need to make people aware of these and I think that will take less efort and less time.

I am not against talkng about history but I am against wasting too much time on it when there are so many serious problems that need our attention which can be solved without knowing istory also.

I brught these ills of our society becuse of the thread "Tajmahal was made by Jats"

Rohit you yourself feel that you have wasted time...just tell me how knowing your past helped you in present except few minors things that we can do even without wasting too much time in past.

How proud you feel when you come to know that a lady has burnt herself because her parents couldnot fulfill the dowry demands.

How proud you feel when you see the education deprived girls doing all the house work and boys given outright preference.

How proud you feel to know that a newly born girl is cursed rather than welcomed.

The females in our society at present are far more respectfull and valuable than the past.

Last question... Where should we put more time...in knowing past ( like the stupid thread like jats made Taj) or in improoving our present???

If we donot improove the present then we become past and very few people like to dissect the past.

Sumit is just upset that all we do on jatland is discuss how great our ancestors were and not discuss about any new great ideas for our people and our country's development.
i hope all of you would agree that there is a lot of talking on jatland.com but little action.
is that what our ancestors wanted us to do?
agree that jats have great past but now let us do what we can for the jats great future.
those of us who can and are willing to do something, should come up and discuss their ideas on jatland.com, and then take action upon them.
Jats are less talking more action in my dictionary, may god bless the jats.

Our Past

In order to sort cofusion about our glorious past, we must search Literature written by British and Islamic Scholars. The fact that Jats converted to Islam, was a good reason for Muslim Historians to highlight there achivements more honestly. Sir Chottu Ram also had good support of Muslim peasants during British raj, which made it possible for him to win election and take drastic measures to help common farmer.
I dont want to write more about things coz it will upset RSS agents operating on this website.

Search for the word "Jat" and you will reach the relevant section.

Makes no sense to me, even enuch had their days during MING dynasty in 1600's, though offcourse king was not enuch! Women had thier own power centres, their own way of wielding power and influence. I am not sure from ur post waht u mean by valuable--people went to war for their love interests in past, which is no longer the case!! MAn was very possesive for his wife or GF even in the past-if u see valuable from men's point of view--men guarded their women more carefully than they guarded gold!! some people say GOLD is valuable!!
Respect--- out of what fear, love or divination? plz elaborate which kind of respect u found missing in past?
rest of answers along with this later!
i have to go somewhere.....

When you are in war, you have to take it as war!

Dear Ashok,

Country is always more than religion or caste or creed.... But.... why then do we need a seperate forum called jatland? why do we need to be together if we have nothing to do with the caste we belong to and all our life we feel is devoted for the motherland???

I did say earlier as well.. any other fellow human then is as good as a jat and any other forum is good to discuss things... But here this... that we are all jat keeps us in a condomininum and we here get together to make our own strength.....

Sumit and Ratan have a different point I guess... they don't want to cancel all our efforts which according to you have gone in vain, efforts gone into searching about who what when where how and for whom... are the Jats??
If the country as a whole and its politics and its people facinate you more than the caste and its prespective and its people.... why then are you concerned about what is going in the brains of people here??

Shamsher seems to have a different pain of feminist rights,... True Shamsher, we need to look for a panecia to that ill as well... and history alone can not put us in a better condition.... but, we can not just neglect this STUPID looking section just because we are not able to keep track of our present situation???

And these atrocities on the femine gender which you seem to be deeply concerned about is one in a hundred cases.... If a lady commits suicide, it becomes a news for you... just because she is a lady.. If you believe in equality of status for both the sexes, why does not a male suicide makes you numb at soul?? And why should such things which are going on shall make the discussions on our past loose??

And Ashok bhai, there is a lot which we have aquired not because of the country, but because of the caste.. because we are Jat.... Tomorrow, if someone says come America, I am sure you will take no time to leave this country which you are preaching for at this time.. but leaving Jat race.. leaving your clan will be the last of the things you are gonna accept!!! Shailendra.. he is in the USA.. and I dont know for how long... he is tied to us for he is a Jat... and that makes him connected with us... there are x number of Indians in America, and other countries... but they are not at all connected to us.... because they are not Jat..... I am sure Ashok bhai.. all of us have been feeling proud of ourselves being a jat.. and all of us have come through times of college where we used to do goof ups and then used to say.. jat ke balak nyu ee kiya karein!!! this thing bhai... makes us connected.. and this something which has made us so... which has given us so very proud moments in our own life... is worth researching about... about its past... about how we did it all.. and about what else could be named to us!!!

Dr. Ratan is right when he says... Muslims were a bit baised in our favor while writing history as they knew us more than the British, as Jats were converted in a large number... this again is a historical finding.. and this automatically binds us with the people living all over Sindh and Baluchistan in Pakistan.... why then shall we scrap our studies of the past, ur discussions of our ancestors... and our devotion to our own caste... the JAT.....

main to yahan tak kehta hun.. ki jo Jat nahi hote voh jeete kaise hain??????

Cheers!!

Shobhit Deshwal.

Mr Rohit...if have lived and visited the villages in Haryana you will come to know about the condition of females. Saying that the present condition is better does not mean that the females have got all that they deserve.

What you have writen only shows that man has used women as their possession. You will find respect for women more in books as compared to real life. By Valuable I mean they constitute almost half of our sociecty and they can play a valuable role in the development. Donot use valuable as money or Gold.

Mr Shobhit my pain is not a different pain of feminist rights...its the question of rights of half of the Jat Society population...so a learned person is not expected to take it as lightly as you have taken it.

You mentioned..............................................................................
And these atrocities on the femine gender which you seem to be deeply concerned about is one in a hundred cases.... If a lady commits suicide, it becomes a news for you... just because she is a lady..
...................................................................................................

One suicide in hundred is a small number for you!!!! It speaks of your thinking and I need not to say anything more. The female population in Haryana as per 2001 census is more than 97 lacs that means that even if 97000 females commit suicide then its nothng for you.

I never said that I am not moved if a male commits suicide...so donot make it yourself.

Did you ever heard of a male foeticide because the parents donot want the male child. I donot think so...that tells what rights and status female enjoy in our society and also reflect upon the mentality of our society.

I brought this issue because the females constitute almost half of our society...its the issue of rights and equality and if their status is not improoved we cannot expect rapid improovement in our society. YOU JUST CANNOT WORK PROPERLY WITH ONE HAND WHEN THE OTHER IS AILING.
Try it for a day and you will feel the problem.

Last thing.....Read this line written by you ten times to yourself and you will realise what you have written

main to yahan tak kehta hun.. ki jo Jat nahi hote voh jeete kaise hain??????

Dear Shobhit...donot be so aerogant and learn to respect other people, their caste and religion.
