The key message of the book is the centrality of agriculture as an important aspect of our economic development. Accelerating the growth of agriculture production is necessary to achieve an overall GDP growth rate, meet the rising demand for food and to ensure inclusiveness in our growth process.

The book assesses the growing demands on the country's agricultural sector as well as discusses the distinctive and rapidly diversifying food needs in rural and urban areas. The book offers policy solutions to the inflation, poverty and food security.

It is a science book written by Stephen Hawking which gives details about Big Bang, black holes and light cones.

In similar vein, Carl Sagan's book "Broca's Brain" is a very good read. It explains cosmology and scientific approach in layman's terms (as much as perhaps possible).
