A king had four wives.Fourth wife was youngest and a beauty. The king was obssesed with her even in dreams...and he loved her the most and gave her the best of things to wear and eat.The third one was four year older to the fourth one..king loved her too but not as much as the fourth one. This lady was always busy impressing the King and used her charm and experience to attract the king to stay in lime light.Second wife was in her mid thirties....mature but very sad as king loved her less than the two younger ones. She remained busy to get what best possessions and attention she could get from the king. The first one was the eldest, wisest and selfless of all.She gave correct advise to king as regards to his running the kingdom and never complaint of any thing but she was badly neglected by the king and was taken for granted.

After a while king fell sick and was in his death bed.He thought of calling his wives one by one.He called the fourth one first and asked," i am sick and may loose my kingdom soon to the neigbouring king....if that happens,i will be a poor man, will you still love me and hold on to me".This young queen said," In that case it will be impossible for me to stay around with you as i hate poverty".....and left him.He called the third one and then the second one...and both showed their inability to cling to him in bad times. Finally he called the first wife, who was looking frail and pale due to neglect and mal-nutrition.He repeated the same question to her too.In reply this queen replied," I always stayed with you and loved you honestly.....and will go with you irrespective of your destination." King got up....cried and hugged her.

Moral:

Loyalty comes by character and selflessness:

Here the fourth wife is like our BODY..it will leave us when we die....though we were always busy meeting it's both reasonable and unreasonable demands all through our lives.

Third wife is like our possessions and wealth, which we accumulated in our hay days...they too disappear like melting eyes.

Second wife is like our friends, associats and family members.....they will go with us as far as the SHAMSHAN GHAT.

And the first one is like our SOUL....which remained neglected and unattended all through our wonderful days but loyal to the core as it will never leave us...come what may.

Listen to your soul and love people.

Very true Dev Dahiyaji!
Hum apni anreraatma ki baat sunte hi kahna hein.
Agar deen mein paanch minute bhee badi raani ke liye nikaal len to wo hume hahut saari kathinaiyon se bacha sakti hai.
I mean if we communicate with our 'soul' even only for five minutes a day, that can save us from many worldly problem and give us much needed peace of mind in today's materialistic world.

Thanx for sharing the valuable thoughts!
