The mere mention of the place's name sends me surfing on the waves of Nostalgia.

Poori poori sambhawnaa hai kee Mera mashwara aapko bahut bura lagayga , lekin in the long run aap hee kaa faayada hai .

Pune University jaao ( it's on Ganeshkhind Road , just a walking distance from E-Square Multiplex ) , main gate say entry maaro , do raste milengay , ek left jaayega ek right , right chale jaayo , thora aage jaane pur kissi say CDAC kay office kii location poocho , vaise on the same road , right may ek gali muRTi hai , vahin ek Sexy see building hai ( naam yaad nahin aa rahaa but something to do with Nuclear Biologiocal reserach et al ) , usee kay paas CDAC kaa office hai .

First floor kee taraf kooch karo , vahaan kai kamre milengay , unke bahaar kayee notice board lage honge , unko dhyaan say PaRho itne counsellor free nahin hoti ( kabhi kabhi ek kaala sa mustanda bhee baithtaa hai vahaan par) .

Counsellor ( dunno the exact designation) say sampoorn jaankaari praapt karo CDAC kay baare may , kee yeh kis chiRya kaa naam hai aur isko pakaRne kay liye kaunsaa jaal bichaayaa jaata hai .

Jae aapne yoh chiRYa pakaR lee toh nu samajh lo , kee Hiraman tota pakar liyaa .

Basically 6 mahine kaa sarkaari software diploma hai in which one is taught( actually nothing is taught , everything is to be learnt on an ultra fast track) much more of the software than one is taught in Computer Engineering even in IIT .

40 say 50 hazaar kee tuition fee hai , jiskle liye agar entrance acchay anko say clear kar liyaa ho toh asaani say loan mil jaata hai .Entrance may jitni oonchi merit hogi utni chances hain kee appko Pune UNI may hee Hostel mil jaayega , as CDAC from other places as not at par with PUNE ( Trust me).

Agar 6 mahine may aapne CDAC clear maar diyaa bina phail hue toh samajh lo naukri aapko dhoondegi , aap naukri ko nahin .

Filhaal kaa homework yeh karo , phaawRa uthaao aur google kee khudaai shurukar do with the keywords +pune +CDAC , jub URL Mil jaye CDAC kaa toh dhyaan say paRh aur samajh lo usko , ek lay man kaa rough idea mil jaayega aapko aur aage kee samasyaa asaani say sulat jaayegi .

Agar aap Bambai may hote toh mai aapko isee tarah kaa kuch kaam NCST say karne ko kehtaa .

Last year tak scene thaa kee CDAC kay entrance may C bhasha kee kaarigiri dekhi jaati thee ek multiple choice questions waale test ko lekar .

Humhaare tame pay toh keval ek written entyrance test huye karay thaa , pur ib jaa sunaa kee susray 3 -3 stages may parikshaa levayn hainge, written , practical hore interview but aaj kee taareek may qualify karnaa is much easier as humhaare tame pay keval pune may hee CDAC hue karay thaa hore ib jaa poore hindustan may haiga .

Agar C may ustaadi jaante ho toh entrance bachchon kaa khel hai .Hore agar rat rataa kay pharray phurray bana kay Data structures and Files using C kaa paper / practical clear kiyaa hai MCA may toh bhaiyye kamar kasni paregee , do chaar kitaab khareednee paregi , tab jaa kay baat bunaygi .

Jay KItaabon kay naam chaahte hon toh sankoch naa karyo , bindaas poochne kaa apun ko , tenson nahin lene kaa .

Though my personal favourites are

Harbison and Steele ( H&S)( badkismati say yeh HIndustan may nahin miltee hai , iske liye aapko Sonali jee ko kaaliphorniaa may max 50 dollars ( for the latest edition) wire karne honge , aur vahaan say voh aapko pustak bhej dengi .

hmm MBT - *Nostalgic lightning falls on Dayvy again*

Have been to MBT Pune ( pimpri) several times and have just loved the atmosphere and ambience there .Simply a wonderful place .

YAar harishanakr ,sorry for the banter in the erstwhile post , was just trying to prevent ( in my yet unpatented whacko jacko style)your post from drowning in the Archives .

Apart from MBT , I suggest that once you have got ur resume done by Monica , you MUSt go to Mastek.IT's in Sadashiv Peth in Pune ( Near tilak samarak mandir) and irrespective of the fact whether the MAstek Guys are recruiting or not just approach the HR Manager ( Annie Shaji ) or her younger Sister ( Susan Thomas) .These Mastek guys are real helpful and the company's directors and infact the whole staff is simply down to earth and very helping by nature .( right from the directors to the housekeeping staff) If a candidate is worth working with them , they literally create a job for him / her .The cordial atmosphere and absolute freedom that I have observed and felt in MAstek was simply unparalled.

You can also approach Ex. Admin ( Amit Waze) , though he isn't in the recruiting scene but is a gem of a person .

MAke sure you visit and personally meet Annie ( she is a bit strict about manners and ettiquettes , sounds very blunt ,though otherwise is a very cool lady ).YOu might be asked to leave your resume with the Security supervisor at the entrance .MAke sure you do not commit this mistake.IF necessary seek an appointment with Annie / Susan and trust me if your resume appears appealing to them you wud be called for a written objective test and if u clear it u 'll have to go through a series of other tests .

I know all the folks down there very well and have a brilliant relationship with all of them but for some compelling reasons at my end I cannot help you more than this .I even have with me all the question papers that are given to the candidates on various subjects but I just can't reveal it to you .Don't take it personally , it's just that I owe a lot to MAstek and the Mastekeers to cheat them in anyway.

IF you get into Mastek , trust me you'll never feel like leaving it .

I had big tears in my eyes while saying my Final goodbyes to those folks and they all tried a lot to make me stay but I had some real shitty complications back home which needed my immediate intervention.

I just feel extremely sorry that some big majbooris are preventing me from calling Annie / Amit et al and recommend you .Forgive me for this if you can .
