suno doston..
ek bey ek gaam mein ek skool(school) kati shamshaanghat ke jad mein tha.. to jad bhi gaam mein koi maut ho jati to skool ki chchutti(holiday) ho janti, to ek bey ek budhaa mar gya ar chchutti ho gayi to do(2) balak bastaa thaye aan laag re the, unn ne dekhyaa ak do(2) budhe baithe bidi peen laag re sain, ek doosre te bolyaa ' dekh re, maribati do chchutti baithi bidi peen laag rhi hain'..

remember my childhood days when we(groups of similar age guys) used to tell such jokes , no meaning but bahut sari hansi , which makes
one pagal hanste hanste ...

Dear members,

This joke seems to be really funny going by the number of reponses. Unfortunately, i did not understand the coversation between the 2 children given my limited command over jattu

Urmila: Here is the gist of the joke.

"Dekh re, maribati do chchutti baithi bidi peen laag rhi hain"

Apparantly the two old, sick looking guys (who were smoking) are next in line to perish from face of the earth... which translates into two days off from school for the kids! It seems because of the proximity of the school to the cemetery the school used to close for a day as a token of respect for the dead....

On a side note...however, many people missed something I had implied in my response....

Oh my god! that was really funny...and seems very real too! Thankou Sujata. 'Chchutti' and 'maribati' threw me off.
