absurd thread....

it seems this choudharysaaab is fond of writing some words that look interesting to him..

i thought he started the thread to gain some knowledge, but gone into hiding once people started reponding. very bad attitute i must say.

for this choudhary, i will just recall what poonam has quoted under her signature "A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life"

>>> Of course whatever I wrote was of my interests, sorry I'm having no good reason to write something of 'your interets', besides, I do not know what your interests are...if your want me to put something of your interests you just send me an e-mail...I'll be really happy to do this for you.
This was my query...not a thread you know...you are doing postdoc...don't you know the difference between a query and a thread? ...well, its not my problem its your...though...ummmm... O.K. I accept, this is my fault... I should have replied something at least one line...to keep you smiling...if it really hurt you then what else I can say to you except sorry.

>>>I would request you not to give such a nice compliment without knowing anything about a person...yes of course I'm taking it as a compliment not as a comment...I really like this quote...I'm just modifying it for the moment...THE MAN WHO DARED TO WASTE (I think...I should write INVEST instead) MORE THAN TWO YEARS OF HIS LIFE...HAS DISCOVERED THE VALUE OF LIFE...personal as well as professional values of life. I would like to add someting more for you...untill you waste something you can't find the importance of that 'something' in your life.

Hi,

my name is Anjana Sangwan. I am seeking for some expert advice regarding my husband's career. He (Vijay Dalal) is doing PHD in Biotechnology (Deptt. of lifesciences ; subject: photosynthesis) from JNU, Delhi. Besides this he has done M.Tech (Subject:Applied Botany) from IIT Kharagpur.

Last year, he quailified for his admission in Shiefield University, but in the absence of scholarship, got his admission deferred. THis time also he could not manage for the scholarship. He has spent 2.5 yrs in PHD.

Could you please advise as to how he should initiate for a bright career and how can he compensate for this scholarship.

Regards
Anjana

for anjana:

hi anjana,

i think your husband is trying for PhD on the basis of GRE and he is not having enough score to get a scholoarship.

as u said he has already spend 2.5 years in PhD in JNU, my advice would be he should complete his phd in JNU and look for a good postdoc position. and i am sure he will not face any trouble in getting post doc once he secure his phd.

otherwise, even if he get into a phd program now, he will to spend a lot of time just to do his phd.

if any other query i would be happy to assist.

regards
rakesh
