CHANDIGARH: Gopal Kanda, is roaming around Haryana disguised as a Sikh or a sadhu, according to police sources. But he may also cross over to a neighbouring country. He used to follow Geetika to the exam centre in Delhi University in the guise of a Sikh as he suspected that she was in a relationship with another man. Kanda, sources said, is now using the same trick to dodge the police, who are yet to trace his whereabouts. Kanda had switched off his mobile phones on August 7 morning.



Police sources said Kanda is taking the help of messengers to pass on his directives to associates. He is sending out chits through at least six to seven messengers to give directives to aides. "This is how he is planning strategy and changing hideouts," said a source in the Haryana police. Kanda, according to intelligence sources, is keeping away from Sirsa, his hometown. His house in Sirsa wore a deserted look on Tuesday and his neighbours said he had not come to the area after Geetika's suicide.

"When I joined, I was surprised to see that Kanda had retained all his airhostesses and they worked in the casino. He had an influential circle of friends and acquaintances, including high- profile Congress politicians and businessmen, who visited the casino," said Nupur.
She alleged that the casino was running without licence and the police had raided the place several times. However, Kanda "managed things" with his influence in the Congress, she claimed.

Baaki bhai kamal sai desh ka bhi...kisse kisse logg raaj kar ja sain janta pai.. Anpadh gawar log..bichare IAS officer bhi ke sochte honge..dekh tu itna padhya arr pher exam clear karkai aaya.. aar tere tai chalaniye ye dasmi fail, sadak chaap aadmi...wa re wa bharat varsh..kayi bai to soch kai samagh ni aata desh chal kyukar rehya sai !!

The elites of our bureaucracy are subservient to their political masters. These elites train the politicians how to mint money by hook or by crook.

The politicians involved in such type of incidents are simply upholding the the age-old tradition of maintaining 'Harems' and concubines by emperors, princes, princelings and feudal lords. After having amassed huge mass of wealth and political clout by those politicians who are devoid of ideals and ideological commitments, hunt for sex is a logical corollary. But, the girls who fall prey are also not the less culprits. The middle class girls, personified by Geetika, with unrealistic dreams and desperate to strike big in life by taking short cut and without taking pains fall in the trap and eventually commit suicide when their dreams are shattered by their mentors and paramours.

For all those who are blaming the female here.. Kanda is almost a 55 year old married male with a wife and a teenage daughter. He hired Geetika when she wasn't old enough to be a stewardess. She was about 17 and few months old. During the interview, Kanda was watching the proceedings over CCTV. He said, hire her and put her on training and she will be 18 by the time her training is over. Afterwards, he started molesting her. Maybe she is not the only victim of him, I bet there are many more who just got on with their lives.
